Episode description

The Prophets are back breaking down a wild championship run in college hoops. The guys open with the Michigan Wolverines taking down the UConn Huskies to win the men’s national title, then shift to the women’s side where the UCLA Bruins shock the South Carolina Gamecocks to claim the crown.
From there, the conversation turns to the transfer portal and how in today’s era, roster turnover can outweigh everything you thought you knew about a team’s season.
The Prophets then rave about Lauren Betts, making the case for why she’s the true #1 overall pick for the Dallas Wings after dominating both Texas Longhorns in the Final Four and the championship game.
To close, the guys tap into the NBA, debating the 65-game requirement rule, what it means for awards, player value, and how it could shape the entire 2026 season.

Speaker 1

M hm, well, well, well well.

Speaker 2

You make this a quick what up to me?

Speaker 3

It's running beast. He ain't no fun in that. Yeah, the something about to start. So I hope you know your stats in the call getting wrong. Then we shot have his back with the facts matter the fact. No, we do with saving When wings wings congr, they should say, hey me, rais the fakes wings losses the latest news. But Kim speak you got him saying.

Speaker 1

All we can appreciated Preacher shoting them.

Speaker 4

So another summer Country, wild Car Sports and wild Card TV vershot.

Speaker 1

We are back, man. Then a little minute was going on man.

Speaker 2

Man sixty five game rule the madness. Some march is over. We are in April, sir. The Eastern is coming coming Gon.

Speaker 1

We're back man, boy, Uh my boy.

Speaker 4

Jim Duran just reached his sixty five game. Carteria Kate cutting him his back. Uh the Lakers, but the last time we recorded was was.

Speaker 1

Hot and now they not. So it's been a long time.

Speaker 5

Man.

Speaker 4

When we are back, we are talking about we're gonna reflect real quick on the college march man as men and women.

Speaker 1

We talked about that.

Speaker 4

Then we uh get to some NBA man, So Sean I want to start off with it a little bit.

Speaker 1

First off, we had we got a report on our dark bracket.

Speaker 4

Man, Hey, your boy was top fifteen early and then it didn't get pretty when Houston got put out and I had Arkansas in the final four beating Arizona.

Speaker 1

But hey, I did have.

Speaker 4

Michigan in the in the championship, and that put me uh, I think I think I told you.

Speaker 1

I think it was twenty eighth. I finished in dark.

Speaker 4

So not a good showing, not a good showing for your boy, and we lost some points.

Speaker 1

Man on Duke losing stupidity. Stupidity, man, I mean.

Speaker 4

Very tragic way to lose my final four team in Duke, the Houston one they would just wipe down. Illinois was on that ass pretty much the whole time. And then say for my final four Arkansas, which I knew that was the risk. I knew if I won that game, I win the lead. I went the whole thing right, Arkansas be Arizona. Nobody got that matchup. I have Arkansas in Michigan to final four of Michigan winning, I would have had a lot of points for that.

Speaker 1

But hey, Duke, the.

Speaker 4

Way they kept losing, I think Jay Williams went on first take was saying, No Carolina not a blue blood, no more than Duke keep losing and now might.

Speaker 1

Blow in No Carolina. It's been it's been a last crazy the last three weeks.

Speaker 2

Yeah, college basketball is really heating up. Man.

Speaker 5

Yeah, as far as the bracket, definitely a very unique year for that, just because of how some of the match has played out. I mean, the league, the lead that Duke had to lose, that was crazy.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 5

I think a lot of people believed in Houston. I think it was last year, the year before we talked about it. I'm like, I'm not following for the hype, not falling forward. They made a title game, now you're like, all right, I'm all in.

Speaker 2

And then they go back to Sweet sixteen losing again. So I've done Houston.

Speaker 5

We no longer have a problem. I'm just not gonna pick y'all. I'm just not gonna pick y'all. But I did think Kingston Fleman could do, you know, could get them there at least a final four. I had him in the final four, but it just it just didn't work out that way. Man.

Speaker 2

I believed in Michigan State.

Speaker 5

But that as we saw that that region was just wide open, you know, with the way dude went down. And then of course Yukon did make the title game. I forgot who was I know, I had Arizona winning the title. But those in hindsight, it's a bad pick because outside of Anthony Davis year freshman teams don't win the title. So picking Arizona in hindsight was a bad bitch. But uh, it was really between them Michigan and the Duke. You kind of had to think, what they've been three

of the four or five best teams all year. You got to kind of lean that route. But uh, they slew the Michigan man. They getting all the grown ask me. And when they transferred portal, so shout out Michigan man, Hey, y'all keep on hitting that portal.

Speaker 2

But I saw a step of other day. It's like two thousand people in the portal.

Speaker 5

Some people careb by the end because you got other Frenchmen coming in. You got people who may you know, transfer in from a Juco or something like that. So hey, if you're in that portal, if you're not in that almost like high school and you had been that top one hundred, hey you wipe down.

Speaker 1

IM telling you, hey, I do want to shout out. I think I mentioned it. Maybe I didn't. I don't know if I didn't part, but I was like, yo.

Speaker 4

Having the European players with NIL is the best thing for the NBA.

Speaker 2

It might have been good for Colinois.

Speaker 1

Yeah, hey, it might.

Speaker 4

Not be good for college basketball because like you said, those players who can transfer, you're getting beat out by some guys.

Speaker 1

Who've been playing pro or or or not.

Speaker 4

But like, but for example, like Michigan Maraw, I think he's from Spain, like to to to get this, like, let's just say, if he never came over and it never came and to stay in Spain will be trying to draft a prospect we've never.

Speaker 1

Seen and then he get he get what he gets, He get player.

Speaker 4

Comp to you know, y'all mean or something, and we think we get y'all mean get be Dirk on Military's like you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1

So I think for NBA, the international players, man, it's good to see them play.

Speaker 4

Come over here and play and uh instead of being over there, because now we get to see and teams won't make that Darko Militick's mistake or even.

Speaker 1

Or even the barn Yanni who had a decent career in the NBA.

Speaker 4

But because everybody try to find the next Dirk right, And.

Speaker 1

I think that's that's the plus side of in il the bad stile.

Speaker 4

We were talking about like you a bench woman, transfer, you're a starter, transfer, star player, transfer, have bad season, transfer, great season?

Speaker 1

Transfer.

Speaker 4

I was like, I don't, I don't know what the like what makes you make you stay? Like for example, we did talk about Mike Belonge going North Carolina, which is, by the way, surprising. I don't know where left field do you find out that his daughter go there? But like if you and North Carolina, do you stay?

Speaker 1

Do you go? Cause now you got the NBA hey coach? Uh uh? How you say? The old point guard from Syracuse? Coach there? Now mc namara.

Speaker 2

Syracuse.

Speaker 1

So so he leaves.

Speaker 4

Sianna after a great performance from Sianna, he go to Syracuse. Just came out Kanye Anthony Carmelo, Anthony's son, He's gonna stay, you know what I'm saying. But like, but you never know, right, so you never know what kind of decisions you make when you get a new coach. We talk we talked about girls in the second but Tennessee Tennessee volunteers girls but in too Wipe Down they ain't got.

Speaker 1

No player no players. That's kind of crazy because portal is crazy. And I don't know.

Speaker 4

I mean, obviously there's different ways to try to amend this. I think I think people should be on two year deals. Uh if you're not gonna go pro, but hey, uh maybe they're maybe they're running in.

Speaker 1

But this is it's a little crazy.

Speaker 4

But trying to like trying to track this right because you can't even say who go a chimpion next year or means who the favorite.

Speaker 1

I don't know is the favorite, and that's because you begging all the guys coming in.

Speaker 2

I think it's I think it's plus eight hundred.

Speaker 5

Then I think Michigan was in the second, and then I think you comes like third or fourth.

Speaker 4

But see, I don't even know how they even like aside from Benning bending gonna recruiting classes, I don't know how you even predict that because if Michigan losing Yaxle, you're losing Mara And I think the what's the other part for the named Johnson? If all three go pro, all you got is Cadell coming back. Well, guess what could not enough? And then Duke, you can I understand, dude, number of recruiting class again, they're gonna get probably that transferred boom and.

Speaker 1

Then uh but like Houston, where are they going to be?

Speaker 4

They're losing three seniors add to warn of duns like they I mean, I'm not saying that you can't retool, but you know, trying to rank is like it's kind of impossible a little bit.

Speaker 2

No, the sport is gonna be more wide open. I think that's gonna be all of college.

Speaker 5

Like as you can see, since everybody can legally pay people now, like how all the yeah, I mean the conferences are kind of weird now, but how all the big teen schools are performing better because everybody can legally pay. I mean, the the SEC was dominant for a while, and you know the rumors are there where do I smoke?

Speaker 2

That's fired?

Speaker 5

How people are getting paid under the table. Everybody out here driving and wrecking these damn dous charges and shit like that. So now that everybody is legally being paid, you have an official transfer portal. You know, the big team schools Michigan football, Michigan basketball, Ohio State football. You see lay girls like everybody is on a more even

playing field now, so they shout out to the big team. Man. Yeah, but the portal is it's just gonna make the sport more wide open because you don't have to I like it, but I think there needs to be some more parameters around it. But yeah, you know, it's more it's more like the NBA and NFL. Now, all right, we're gonna recruit freshmen. We can basically get people from the portal,

which is based like a trade. We don't somebody out and bring somebody else in, so it's kind of like trading based like free agency.

Speaker 2

So you get.

Speaker 5

Recruits hit the portal, and as you can see with Michigan, a team full of transfers can win the title.

Speaker 1

Yeah about to say so, shout out of the Michigan for winn the championship.

Speaker 4

Beat yukon sixty nine sixty three, Yaxil heard his ankle, gets the Arizona game and they still wipe down Arizona, which is crazy, right, And like you said, Highsight, you can talk about the freshmen there.

Speaker 1

I do think you. Yeah, you're right. You create balance across the conferences. Anybody can win. But yet again, who won the championship a team in the East, So was it?

Speaker 4

Uh Arizona is still the last team to win I think nineteen ninety eight or something like that.

Speaker 1

The last team to win from the west or west of Baylor? Should I say.

Speaker 2

Another reason why picking in hindsight.

Speaker 1

Hey, Houston was on the right of Baylor.

Speaker 4

If you look at Texas, I was, I was east of Baylor, which is funny, but yeah, so yeah, you gotta have parameters.

Speaker 1

And I don't know what the parameters that make it fair across the league, but I do like it is open.

Speaker 4

You can pretty much any any coach can have their say so anywhere they go.

Speaker 1

Look at Iowa coach, right, going from uh.

Speaker 4

D two to Drake to Iowa and made a great run in the tournament. Uh he's from Iowa, so he never he's not gonna leave. But that program gonna be on the mat for a long time. Right, you expect that, You expect that program. You expect Florida not to go nowhere. You expect Michigan to always be a problem, Arizona be a problem along as tell me there and hey, shout out of Carolina, man, Like what you say, everybody everybody got uh, they got everybody pay this summer.

Speaker 5

Oh yeah, man, they got everybody to pay if you were And that's the thing about coaching. You know, you don't want to see it happen, but you almost have to cheer for guys to get fired because now, if you are a good coach, if you're like one of the top five or seven coaches, you're a hot commodity. You can go back to the table and renegotiate your deal. So, hey, Nate Oaks and uh, the dude in Arizona, Lloyd like a shot of y'all boys.

Speaker 2

Man, I hope y'all got that got that new bag. Man, you just some more golf clubs.

Speaker 5

I wonder to go get your little vacation home or something, man, Because yeah, the North Hubert Davis, he got fired because I don't think he was coaching bad.

Speaker 2

I mean, I don't think.

Speaker 5

The legacy will his legacy will be they made a championship game and he was the last guy to beat Coach k So in the pantheon of Duke North Carolina. You right now, in the last five years, six years out of their rovaly y'all made the last time the game betweeny and two schools, and you were the last guy to beat one of the greatest coaches of if not one of the, if not the best college coach ever.

Speaker 2

So yeah, that's two knocks in his belt.

Speaker 5

But just since John Shire got there, he's just kind of been having less success than John Shire.

Speaker 2

So I think Shire is what got him fired. But you know, that's the best way the game goes. Man.

Speaker 5

People have to get fired and it helps everybody else on NATOS and Dusty made Tommy Lloyd, all these people because.

Speaker 2

All you enjoyed that new bag.

Speaker 1

Man, all you do is, let's just say, Hubert Davis. I mean, I don't know. Maybe Hubert Davis is not that good.

Speaker 4

In terms of he got to have the logo behind him to support, right, Maybe maybe Nor Carolina logo is why.

Speaker 1

He got people he got. But let's just let's just play.

Speaker 4

Let's play a game real quick. What if Hubert Davis goes to I'm making this up because I know coaches are still there. Let's say you go to somebody like Pittsburgh or Boston College. Right, all you doing is making more teams better because Mike Malone gonna have North Carolina lit because the logo just for Kentucky.

Speaker 1

Mark Polpe going on. He's a former player. He gonna have Kentucky lit.

Speaker 4

Just because he from he played for Kentucky and is Kentucky. But now you put Hubert Davis in Pittsburgh, go Boston College, Caliperi goes to Arkansas.

Speaker 1

Now we got more teams. That's good now, right? People?

Speaker 4

Freshman going to Arkansas here at Davis probably if he can land on his feet, he'll he'll get people to come there just because of name and and what he's done. So I do like that part in a sense, like you know, if a team do fire somebody like for example, I know Iszo St. Patinos up at Saint John, I know Bill Souff at Kansas. Whenever they decide to step down, those three, those whoever replaces those three are gonna be are gonna be a hot commody. I guess maybe not

Saint John, but at least Michigan stay in Kansas. They're gonna be high commodity jobs. Who's gonna take those? And if you can't find somebody like again, would you rather be at Michigan or Michigan State?

Speaker 1

Would you rather be?

Speaker 4

I know, Kansas, Kansas but if I'm out Florida going crazy down here, why am I got Why do I have to go to Kansas for I know it's for more money, but if it's one more one or two more million dollars for nil, I might well stay where I'm at my program, Eleap, you know what I mean. So, Hey, I just I just need college to Gate video game to come on out so I can just shot the recruit and that's all I care about.

Speaker 2

Yeah, everybody waiting on that. Man.

Speaker 5

We need to We need the march madness back on the P on the P five.

Speaker 2

Man need that. I feel Sean might Malone.

Speaker 5

I think he'll be great in North Carolina because you're you're bringing in NBA expertise, so he'll be able to look at the game from a different viewpoint than most people.

Speaker 2

But I guess the question would be how good can he recruit?

Speaker 5

So he has to put together a good collegiate staff that can go out and recruit guys.

Speaker 2

I feel bad for this dude.

Speaker 5

Former North Carolina player, but his college coaching career just wasn't good enough to warrant getting his job Jerry Stackhouse because North Carolina normally stayed within the tar Hill family. Sorry, right, but at Vanderbilt eleven and twenty one, nine and sixteen, nineteen and seventeen, twenty two and fifteen.

Speaker 2

Nine and twenty three. No, bro, we can't. We can't. You can't come off with then and get North.

Speaker 5

Carolina job if you are in a lum so to me, I thought Stack would have been the next guy.

Speaker 2

I know, Stephen. They was on ESPN throwing out Kenny Smith.

Speaker 5

But I mean, if I got a cozy ESPN John, I'm not going, you know, damn recruited coaching.

Speaker 1

So where is stackouse?

Speaker 2

Now?

Speaker 6

Is he? Is he?

Speaker 1

Where are you coaching? Now?

Speaker 5

He might be back in the NBA, I think, uh, but I know he's not doing a college job right now.

Speaker 2

See, I think I think he back on. I think he's with Golden stand On on Kurs down right.

Speaker 1

He wasn't even for a little bit anyway. Yeah, so all right, so.

Speaker 4

Let's switch gets a little bit. We talked about a little bit about the girl's side. So I'm not gonna get into the Geno Dawn stuff. Just just uh just I think we know what kind of guy Geno is when you can beat him, and you can beat him, Uh, consistently Pat Summit, Don Staley, Kaitlyn Clark. Uh, what's the girl.

Speaker 1

On the on the on the wings?

Speaker 5

Uh?

Speaker 1

Uh? Because you know you can. You could have more rings if it one for the for these for these four ladies on his name, but so so so Ida beat Yukon.

Speaker 4

I think we were texting back and forth about prior to the game about I was like, I think I can win this game. They had what it takes, and I'm gonna I'm staying on the table shot because because as we as we go through this, we go through.

Speaker 1

U c l A Texas. Uh, Texas went. Earlier in the year, massive Booker played the worst game she ever complay taint that thirty five off.

Speaker 2

Kevin Durant would never shoot that bad.

Speaker 1

Take that out.

Speaker 2

Gotta just for a week taking thirty five off man.

Speaker 1

Hey, that was crazy. That was crazy. That was crazy.

Speaker 4

And then in hindsight, obviously South Carolina offense just not could not get nothing together against u c l A and u c l A with their five seniors, four or five seniors and their couple of girls on the bench. I think I think it said it was a stat where like all the seniors scored all the points in the final four. That that's some that's some GOWI road uh uh uh. Don Haskins shit over there with with with all like what you know, a type of group. But staying on the table side right now. And I

got a wn B my draft coming out. I'm kind of waiting for free agency to hit a little bit to see if somebody signed somewhere. First, Lauren Bess is the number one pick in the w b A draft. And I don't care how good, how good looking fund is. I don't care that hurt and paid be dating. I don't care about none of that.

Speaker 1

I don't care.

Speaker 4

How good Olivia Miles is from a triple triple double alert she is after what Lauren Betts just showed you in those two games where a wing player couldn't even come in the paint and shoot her a signature mid range shot going what two for what twenty two or some crazy number. Then you got Raven Johnson only scoring less than five. Uh And when I think she was on the court, it was like five for like twenty

five at one point in the game. Come on, man, Lauren, Lauren Bess man, she just she she just proved the last two seasons man defense wins championships.

Speaker 1

I mean that Kevin Durant said the best where you.

Speaker 4

Got to have the guys to get you over that hump though, but defense with championships and Lauren Betts and you see la the way they played those two games to beat You just mentioned that big ten level of playing field.

Speaker 1

Now SEC be running things you kind of sec in good basketball.

Speaker 4

And UCLA came out of nowhere and wanted and new slash and this is a secret. We got big ten winning to get next year. So Saturday, Ucla them girls, Man, Lauren Best, especially my number.

Speaker 1

One pick in the draft. We'll see what happens next Monday.

Speaker 5

And I know we're still waiting on the whole CBA to play itself out, which it could be a domino effect thing we look at down the line because free agency really has.

Speaker 2

An open yet.

Speaker 5

Now you're gonna be drafting players for certain teams and you know just how all that can play itself out. Like I know, the Wings have the nice laders from China. Lee at a center. I think she's like six seven. But if you already have a Rique in the guard Spot page in the guard Spot, hey, I like Asi fud.

Speaker 2

But you can't go get another guard.

Speaker 5

You gotta tell Lauren Betts go ahead and get you a defensive anchor.

Speaker 2

You know.

Speaker 5

So now you will have Lee and Best two six seven centers. You still have the girl from Villanova, Maddie. And then you're talking about Page and the Rik in your back cord. You know, if you find you know, you can find somebody to play your wing spot. They I don't know what the money looking like. But so Tuesday, she ain't going back to Phoenix. You know, maybe she want.

Speaker 2

To come in, come be on wing, you know.

Speaker 1

Back reunion. Hey, but but like all right, so even so let's let's just kind of want to stop.

Speaker 4

Like I said again, shout out you c l a uh. We know Soucoline gonna be bad. We know you can't go bad. We know Texas gonna be back. Even though even though you know fine ships uh into the portal last.

Speaker 2

Winning the time. I don't want you nobody to say take my money right.

Speaker 4

Now, hey, I want you to do come on man, we were talking about.

Speaker 5

That and Jazzy Man winning the Time of bro. I want you will nobody to say take my money right now, fan due or draft keys prize picks, name your sports book, take my money, Une just for the women's title.

Speaker 4

Yeah, because jud just stepped right into the best player in the country easily, first team All American playing National Player of the Year. When you got Jazz Davison who could play defense and scored the basketball and she had to learn how to be the star of a college program. This year got him to eight seed, nine seed, won a game, got smacked by Sycrolina. But now what you there and again and got the I'm gonna play coming

to class again in Sanaia Hall. This he and they don't coach got big and that's a that's a got leave. I think over there in US she pretty solid, but big team over again and probably gonna be back in l A as a champion the year Trojans, But back to bests, all right, because because WBA coming around the corner, and you know, we you know, we are advocates for the WNBA.

Speaker 1

We love were watching that sport for a long time.

Speaker 4

That just just just tell me, just tell me watching Azis fud and the games that she did dominate when she was scoring a lot of shots. Is it me, am I crazy for saying this? Am I crazy for saying this. She's a supporting star, like she can't be the best player. Like even even like I know, we want to say, oh, she made first All American this year whatever, and oh she look.

Speaker 1

Next next page.

Speaker 4

They one championship, yes, but I feel like if she's not next to one of them ones, bruh. She disappeared in the Tacolina game, like and I watched the those damn game And all you have to do is if you have somebody focus on her the whole time. She's not as she's not as great as somebody would be for the number one pick, you know what I'm saying. Like, I'm not saying that she's not good. I'm not saying

she's not a great player, because she is. But when you say, oh, she's the number one pick, I just can't do that when you got somebody like Lauren Bess sitting that on the board, I just can't do it.

Speaker 6

No.

Speaker 5

I like as I like her game, but it's not to me, it's not good enough to warrant being the first the first pick, or being like.

Speaker 2

The To me, when you're the first pick, you're going to be a game changing piece for a team.

Speaker 5

And when you see Page in her game, That's what I see.

Speaker 2

I don't see that from as you full. I feel like when you're when.

Speaker 5

We talk about duos or big threes, as a Fud can be a nice two or three, but I don't think she can be the best player on a team and carry.

Speaker 2

Them, right, and Lauren may or may not.

Speaker 5

But for the team that she could be going to, which is Dallas, if you're forming a big three with Page, a, Rik and Lauren, I like that.

Speaker 4

Right, And I think I think people and people people pushback will be, well, you're drafting Fud number one, but she going along with Page right, so so she gotta number one, which does make sense to me, And that does make sense. However, it's to me, it's the opportunity costs, right, Lauren Betts, who can change?

Speaker 1

I mean, let's let's let's let's just take it to the NBA real quick.

Speaker 4

What did Rudy Gobert do for Minnesota Timberwolves? Like as as funny, as funny looking as he is, as goofy. Yes, he is on the court, especially offense side of the ball, defensively leaps the balls like where they came from, like they want they want the best defictey teams when him on the court. I think if you look at the defensive rating or defensive like, you know, like it's like some kind of crazy stat. Is winn By Jokic and go Bear on the list like top three, Like he

changes the game for them defensively. And I think that with Lauren Bess is going to change a franchise on one side of the ball, and it's gonna affect something. Look at Madison Booker like, and I know, and it looks like everybody. Everybody is more mad in South Carolina when I was scoring, but Lauren Bess was on the court. That's the problem. Now, that's the issue.

Speaker 2

It ain't.

Speaker 4

I mean, I know when Lauren came out of the court, there was a little bit better off the court, but I mean not by much. But she changed the game. And I'm not saying fun can't change the game. I just don't look at her like you think other big threes, right, Chelsea Gray, AJ Wilson and Jackie Young, Like I don't know if she could be better than Jackie Young and and and and and I'm saying somebody good now, I'm not saying nobody sorry, Right, I say, I said, somebody good.

So I don't know, man, I just I just looked at her. I was like, that's a girl who can be invisible in the court sometimes, and I just don't know if I could be at the first pick. That's what I saw. That's what I saw.

Speaker 1

And we've been betting on the w NBA players or like like.

Speaker 4

Picking like who gonna be the star, and they be stars when we get there, and we always be right. So I look at this, I'm like, I'm I'm I'm gonna ride myself right here because I'm like, man I when I see it, I see it always paying out. So I'm going I'm going Lauren Bess and I like the ticket already in the draft card end Dallas Wings get best.

Speaker 5

Like truthfully, if I'm Wings, you gotta go best. They'll they'll kind of to me, they will load up your front cord. You already got a balanced back court. The only way you draft food is that you're talking about moving off a ri K, And I don't think you should do that. But if you that you're playing, I understand. But to me, you go bets bets page in the ri K. That's a nice little three plus the other piece you already have surrounding it and free agents about

to hit. You can run your roster out and then two would be the links no direspected again in the food. If I links, if I can get called your back, I gotta go Miles, I gotta go Miles, And then I think storm half third pick.

Speaker 2

That's why I can see flood landing there.

Speaker 4

Yeah, I want to say I saw a video of a video, like a page of who was all?

Speaker 1

Because like who's all gonna be?

Speaker 6

Uh?

Speaker 4

A free agency? Like a Rique is a free agent right now? But so is Wilson. So is about it? What she catted kidmagazation not coming back?

Speaker 5

Right?

Speaker 1

So?

Speaker 4

I haven't heard that out of Dallas yet that they're not gonna bring her back. So I guess that's the decision you're making. Are you gonna let her walk?

Speaker 1

If you do?

Speaker 4

Okay, but I still think you're gonna be I still think you're going to be making a terrible decision by not dragging Lauren Bits.

Speaker 5

I mean yeah, even then, like if you just say we're taking a guard, you still should take Miles.

Speaker 4

Right, So you still yeah, I mean, I guess the only thing about Miles and Pages like, who will have Well, I guess that'd be your Miles be your point guard. I guess let her run the point guard and let uh Page paye off ball. So yeah, I think I think I think Page to me, I know, Paie to me, if we if we could pare NBA pays like a Jammy Butler to me, like, she can just do anything you want her to do, right. She can play the

DEFENSI you can guard the best player. She could score twenty points, she can get eight rebounds, eight assists, whatever you want, whatever you like doing to night, she can do it right. And you put when you put that alongside somebody, in my opinion, who can just erase the erase the like defensive side of the ball. It's it made life so much easier, bro, Like, it makes it so much easier.

Speaker 1

I just don't.

Speaker 4

I just maybe we're overthinking it. Maybe that's why we're not w a GMS. But I feel like we can put together a good team with the number one pick in this draft.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I mean turning card in it should be bit unless you're just saying we want to have a dynamic backcourt, right and even then you go.

Speaker 1

Miles, So yeah, So you got, I know, like.

Speaker 5

A page your foot break up?

Speaker 4

All right, quickly, let's let's change gears to uh got traded.

Speaker 2

To a tm me my season tickets.

Speaker 1

Hey, I saw I saw the ticket.

Speaker 5

Ma.

Speaker 4

They said that dream versus aces, Yeah, you're gonna you're gonna kiss that goodbye.

Speaker 5

You ain't going that game, hey, dream versus aces versus fever and probably dreaming versus liberty out a piel squeeze mean.

Speaker 1

A pipe down. You gotta spend up. You spend a biz ag on on that.

Speaker 4

Oh man, you can a front court a front I think basiced, I think uh tickets like front row Man's like I was already four one of the dollars.

Speaker 1

Man, I'm good. I a nah hey them liberty ticket, liberty, aces and fever.

Speaker 5

Calm me out hey, low key depend upon cons and not the Lenk's gonna be a hot ticket.

Speaker 4

Money gon follow that too, Yeah, yeah about saying uh at least at least at least they kind of disrespect in Minnesota a little bit and call call it great news over there. So because everybody wants to Kaitler she playing in the NBA's NBA Arenas, then you got you got the liberty, and I mean you would say, Asia, you gotta, you gotta spend that that money over there, but shouts a res Man.

Speaker 1

Two first round picks. Clearly the sky is tanking.

Speaker 4

But they also made trades the draft so that the two expanded teams couldn't take their picks. Don't understand. Don't understand that at all. But anyway, so go to Lanta, man, So what do you think about down there?

Speaker 5

Man? Oh?

Speaker 2

Yeah, man, they got a good year last year. We're talking big fan of Ryan Howard.

Speaker 5

Juries back, you know, they're still gonna have They're gonna have a little bit of what left the Britney grind a no difference bit.

Speaker 2

And then of course you got Brianna Jones. I mean they got a loaded team. I think they'll be fine.

Speaker 5

I mean I cans a couple of games every year, but you know, I might look at that season pass or something.

Speaker 1

But yeah, you about to say, I think Brittany Grinders, she's a free agent. So so with Reese, do you bring her back? With Brianna Jones, I don't know.

Speaker 2

I don't think so. I think I think you want to keep the team young.

Speaker 5

Let Reese get her minutes, Let Brian Jones, get her minutes, Ryan Higher, Lisha Gray.

Speaker 2

That's the hell of a before right there.

Speaker 1

Man, those two, those two together are like gigantic that she cold.

Speaker 5

Man. Yeah, they had a good year last year, man, so hopefully they can they can make something happen again this year. Man. I think the Reeves going from Chicago to Atlanta another good market for her, so she can still expand her brand.

Speaker 2

Her role will be you know, she wants to do a whole lot.

Speaker 1

She's gonna score.

Speaker 2

That's jim master.

Speaker 5

She can just be a master of the defense and rebounding and uh yeah, continue doing that thing. Man.

Speaker 4

And I saw somebody that was like, man, you go to a restaurant, you can get your me bound margarita.

Speaker 1

Boy, Andy, that's and that sounds good.

Speaker 5

Barbar That team gonna be crazy, man, You're gonna suck around be an American dealer, have an Angel rees meal or something.

Speaker 1

But it's that Barbie Q sandwich.

Speaker 4

Oh yeah, sign me send me up and fall Hey quickly, we got we got a few minutes to talk about it, man.

Speaker 1

Switch over to the NBA real quick.

Speaker 4

I do I do want to mention it to you and talk to me about the sixty five game rule, right, Shaye versus jokis, it is probably gonna be the MVP. Because Luca out missed about one game, it mayn't go miss it about a couple of games. Kate is backed from his collapse lung, but he out of the NB raising now because he don't meant the requirement and winby rashad is two games left he had sixty three because as we're recording this, he's missed the game against Portland

Trail Blazers. Two games left where he got hurt in the previous game, he might not be even on the card, which means no defensive Play of the year, no MVP.

Speaker 1

So I ask you this, do we have to amend this rule?

Speaker 4

Do we need to look at a two a sixty five game or two thousand minute restriction or should we rock with this rule for a little minute because it's it's gonna be to kill Alexander Walker on thirteen.

Speaker 5

Hey, and I think the Spurs will do it. They're gonna find them to go out there for like twenty minutes to a just be out of a twenty minutes for two games, and so you can stay eligible because for him to let's say he does missed the rule of threshold to not be able to get back to back defensive players. That's really gonna be killing my man legacy because he should have got it last year.

Speaker 2

Definite should get.

Speaker 5

It this year.

Speaker 2

So first team this year, Yeah, the first team.

Speaker 5

Like, I don't say the rule should be changed or ended because once you get into that, it becomes like, all right, let's say, like like a KDE or luc or do you have to file like some kind of appeal and that process can get crazy. So all this stuff is in place because you had too many All right, Well, the Spurs did back in the day. They were the only ones doing that. Hey Tim Duncan and Tony Parker Janobli taking that off resk.

Speaker 2

It was Spur, small market team, nobody really cared.

Speaker 6

But now that you had the Kawha's and the Bend Simons and MB and all these guys doing low management rest and a plus other guy doing load management, and you know, you're kind of affecting the consumer.

Speaker 2

It is what it is.

Speaker 5

Man, All this money y'all getting you gotta play the games.

Speaker 1

Gotta play. If I'm gonna pay you super Max, you better be playing super games. I'm not going to ask you. We asked for.

Speaker 2

Money.

Speaker 5

That look the money guarantee, like you get paid per game, you get game checks, but it ain't like you can pay pay pay for pay for play, you know, right.

Speaker 4

So yeah, the only thing I thought they could probably could have done was so like I did, I did a quick quick mass.

Speaker 3

If you.

Speaker 4

Sixty five games, right or two thousand minutes, So that's saying you got to play thirty plus minutes a game for sixty five games. So if you're a superstar, you're probably playing thirty five and to get those stats you need. So you know, if you do miss a couple of games, do the injury, then I think I think they got to do this. If you're about to die, we should Hey remember fu when when we play we played the year last year and got our clock a block already.

Speaker 5

Yeah he had yeah the blood flaming collapse long something like that, and he got you know, certain stuff.

Speaker 2

It's just like come on, man, hey, now you're infected.

Speaker 5

Guys all NBA and this this stuff over over time, it does affect they resume their Hall of Fame credentials, all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 2

And you know, over time, as time goes on, if.

Speaker 5

You don't just remember that season, you won't remember like, oh he I heard he didn't Maybe he didn't because hey.

Speaker 4

I'll be I can understand oblique or handstring or you hurt your back, but I'm about to die, like I'm like collapse, look like.

Speaker 2

It would be it wouldn't be medically safe for.

Speaker 4

Me to play, Like what if I mean, I know this is I'm not gonna would on I say this, but what if a rookie per se from the fourth outles should happened in the NBA.

Speaker 1

Like somebody robbed me and I got shot? Or what what are I supposed to do?

Speaker 6

You know?

Speaker 4

So I just I just think maybe some medical clearance, maybe a missions like like those kinds of things, if we're not going to mend the men's things.

Speaker 1

But like if I if I over here about if.

Speaker 5

I if my But then's when it gets tricky because now you've got a yawn situation of like E is he health? Is he not?

Speaker 2

So that's why the amendment thing is gonna be tricky.

Speaker 1

Hey that but he first off, that's a whole of his compensation.

Speaker 4

Damn bucks, because how youa y're honest your brother's in the NBA because of because of us, And every time you play you got hurt, like it did, like like he just got hurt one time, he got like five times this year.

Speaker 1

I don't know. I don't know that that's that's that's crazy.

Speaker 5

Hey, well he only got a few games left, man, Doc, really enjoyed your retirement.

Speaker 2

You ain't coming back next year.

Speaker 1

I'll step down.

Speaker 3

You know.

Speaker 1

First thing, You're not firing me.

Speaker 5

Enjoy your retirement, Doc, enjoy your retirement in Milwaukee in the summer, y'all have more options. At least you should have four or five teams to trade nis, to find the best deals, get rid of them.

Speaker 1

It was, it was, it was crazy. The Rockets was perfect to get out of here first round.

Speaker 4

They might get Lakers now without Luca and Austin because if Rockets lost first round, say going to stretch Shephard Milwaukee easy, you know what I'm saying. But now, so, yeah, you're right, Doc, stand down retirement. You deserve your Hall of Famer. Joanna's get traded start over because I think he said, you saw the rumor about I got a mint left. You saw the rumor about Ryan Rollins the Bucks didn't want to trade them for Josh.

Speaker 1

Why hey, if you look at I know what can we understand?

Speaker 2

I understand. But at the same time, if you're a goal to keep you honest, you should try to do what you can. But I think they're exhausted with it.

Speaker 1

I think that's that's what they want.

Speaker 2

They want to do anything crazy.

Speaker 1

That's why they didn't want to do nothing crazy and get rid of a young talent for a job.

Speaker 5

Morant who we don't know right, who won't make it sixty five game animal.

Speaker 1

Hey, shout out Zion man, he almost made it.

Speaker 6

Man made it.

Speaker 4

Man.

Speaker 1

Shout out, hey, we were back next week. Uh appreciates Yeah,
