After the discovery of Jesus' empty tomb, his disciples were sad, uncertain and confused. They didn't understand how the pieces fit together or how they'd fallen apart. As two of the disciples walked along a road discussing and struggling to make sense of things, the risen Jesus drew near. He didn't wait for them to find him. He didn't wait for them to figure things out. Jesus drew near to them and he does the same to us.
