I your disdain was so palpable. I didn't really pick up until the time, but here we go. It was. Here we go. Minions rush, Christina Milian's is it man? Onions or just Minion Rush.
Oh, who cares. I mean, like, you know, that bothers me, I don't care Minion Rush, right? One, minion minion. Rush rushing Minion. Rush is a 2019 game from Gameloft Universal. Many Splash screens, it is a infinite Runner as them as you predicted correctly. It is Christian our toes. Ronaldo Rose, kick and run all over again. What kind of the original game in this form?
Temple run, Pimple wrong, you will sort of behind it, sort of 3D ish, you're behind a runner, you move them left and right from oncoming obstacles. Collect bonuses. See how far you can get and it's actually it's like you have three lanes, right? You have three in your lane Sam and we will yell at you when you're driving in New Jersey always, you know, I try to drift and you Jersey, but they won't
let me the New Jersey drift. You move from left and you know, like there's you have three lanes, you have to move your character from the left lane Middle Lane right lane by swiping. It's just like Temple Run. It's just like Cristiano Ronaldo. It's just like sup Subway Surfers that he is jumping and ducking. Is that different? That means all in Temple. Okay. Sold it. Nope. All right. This is a lengthy cut screen
that you cannot skip. Every time you start a new game was that in Temple, Run, 2 is there. Well, in tempura. And there is like a little bit of excitement, as you build up to the level, which is, I guess it's kind of taking it from that as well, like you see the person running and it does like this 360 Matrix style camera pan and then you go, you know it's sort of fixes the camera behind the runner as you're running running comments. Let's see. And this is ridiculous.
You're like you know talking your gibberish speak with other minions and then you have to like all of a sudden run and this tunnel for no reason. Once again Sam says, where is the story Why am I running? Why my minion? Why am I high fiving? My minion Pals. What is my minion motivation? Very I mean bananas really bright is now. Is that in the movies dominions love? Bananas. Is that a thing that we know from the world of minions I can write this as a complete menu Noob.
Having that is a Dandy despicable 's. Yep minions. It's they love to say and I think they left by the yellow because I didn't do any bananas. Know like we have to already be too many carrots. I'm almost sure if science is that science other thing outside 0 that is say okay this sounds much like if you eat too much carrots you turn orange. If you too much bananas you turn yellow well there you go. Do you also turn small and have one eye and inability to speak and a love of God calls?

Anyway, I think this is all to say, Don't eat bananas in excess. Do nothing in excess right in fact, that's just only one is what it is. Probably safe, right? Yeah, obviously, making bump it up to a day perhaps. Yeah, to add a would be great as well.

Well, is there anything really? I mean please revisit our discussion of Cristiano. Ronaldo's smiley face game where he's smiling all the time at least, that was sort of funny. It's just I think this game falls into the problem with like all these for the purposes of discussing on this here, show of ours, it's both like polished. Well enough that is not that amusing and it's also boring enough that it's uninteresting. Wait do you know I mean like it's neither good enough.
Interesting gameplay to talk about our and it's neither stupid enough to make fun of it's just yeah. Okay, let's get to the three by threes. Let's get to the 3X3 fastest we ever got to them before. Why don't you start Edwin? Okay, well I mean, watch out if they have a lot of good points, you get to dress up as different mini owns, which I guess is farmer. That is, I guess, like the only collectible aspect of this. Well, not the only collectible but it is.
It's the one thing that really would possibly make you like this game over and over again. It's that the life of me. Get these rewards. Yeah you get the bananas and then the bananas allows you to get accoutrements for your minion meaning different costumes but sometimes these costumes do have like effects. I think like oh yeah there is a side effect bonus Powers. It might attract bananas in the next Lane over. Oh that's true. Yes, I did collect something called a bit.
I don't like a loop, that's what it's called, but no. Thank you essentially a lot so bad large tuba on your back, that inhales bananas for you. I mean I was mildly amusing for a second or two. Yeah, good point. It's a minion, it's a minion. I mean, if you really like minions. Yeah, if you really, really, really into minions, this is probably the best minions game out there. But if you're a middle-aged adult and really into minions as well, Right.
It's also very quick pick up and play except for like that excruciating little intro that you cannot skip. Why? If you want a completely mindless game, that's even more Mindless than supposed to do stuff like tune blast. Yeah, why there's no real strategy, there's no real strategy me sometimes. You have to choose between collecting bananas, or doing something else not collecting bananas. Like you can high-fiving or like pushing yeah, pushing Dominion
out, I think. Yeah, you can do that kind of stuff. I mean. Yeah. If you want that kind of quick pick up and play, go for it. Check it out, I don't recommend it. But if you, if you're really like minions, check it out. Okay, great. Home to the bad points. Now Sam, I think, if we, if we rewind to a previous show, we did take bets on how many buttons would be on the homepage or the home screen. I believe, I said, 23, you did. I think I went 17.
I think I did say 17, didn't I? Yeah, and I just counted them. And then now we mentioned more numbers. I forgot how many there were. So let me count again. 70, really? I've got 14. I don't think those are actual buttons. They're just little indicators but you can go up and down though. I mean, Right. But you get it'll pop in from the sides to watch videos. Yeah, you are closer. The top the top bar also has buttons for ranks and bananas and whatever. Yeah. Purple.
You know how? When you look at a website and you feel like the website hasn't updated their UI element since like the 1990s or like the 2000s. Oh yeah. And the thing with some kind of glossy buttons, perhaps, right? This is I feel like this game was somehow made in the 90s or like the the knots in terms of the button style and and they haven't been able to update it. I mean, but yeah. Yeah, yeah. I also get a sense that this game probably still rakes in
tons of money. Well, his minions little rakes, very effective, his there still like a monetization thing in here. And this game, I'm sure has like millions of players daily, which is insane. That is true. Yeah yeah, look at these. You can buy more of these like million bucks for 99. There's an option for 99 dollars. That is true. Yep. That'll be 99. Real Buckaroo knees. This is, yeah, I mean it up to version 7. They have 161,000 ratings The 4.5.
So, I mean, they're doing something, right? They doing something for sure. It appealing to some people. Bob's not us. Final count on the buttons, is 14. Okay. Great too many. You are the winner. Edwin a sir. Thank you. Not sure if that's an honorable thing or not but yes. Why do you need 14 buttons just to play a very simple Runner. Hey well yeah, there it is. My bad point is that this?
I mean, if you're into Runner games and you're really into minions, I guess like this is it, but otherwise For me, there's really no value in this game even though I do like the minions and I think they're cute. Yeah, I did enjoy their full length feature animated film. Onions in me part 1 it's just called Minions. There's minions one and minions to which I both enjoyed. I'm very much out of a minion sphere. They could do much more with the minions franchise in terms of
games. That's true. I will say, you know, just to back up and go back, not good point. The animation is pretty cute. Like it is pretty slick and Polished the little like a resting animation for my Island. Minion licking a lollipop. It's gonna be cute but yeah. Oh boy that Bring back the bad points that lengthy. Why is there like a 10 second run in before starting each level this pie why it's cute? It gets you pumped up, it is taking a lot from Temple.
Run I feel mmm. Yeah, yep, that's about game Sam. What's your final? Seven de-rating. Let's get it over with. It is a one-day? Yep. Yeah. I think I got to complete sense of what this game is all about. And that one time of playing and it's just not for me. I think there are much better running Sal games out there. If you want to try even Ronaldo, Ronaldinho at least that was unintentionally hilarious. Yeah. Smile to the beat game.
Yeah, that's I feel has much more to offer than this, yep. Like weed. Yeah, mine was a two-day, I tried as a yep. Still still is what it is. Okay, that was our role Sam. I admit my culpability for that terrible. But luckily, some now we can move on Sam over to you anyway. I'm gonna give you a choice. It was the first time in seven days play history. Okay, would you like to play a game that is free? But potentially, A good sort of style of pick up and play.
Mhm, free pickup and players. Or would you like to spend a bit of money? to attempt a game that is a little bit more cerebral, but potential Potentially much more of a deeper game play. See my current mindset. I think I would prefer pick up and play versus anything to cerebral, okay? All right. Edwin. You have seven days to play Knighthood from King. Oh, King like that King. Hmm, remind me who King is. So King, I think they made Candy Crush. Right. Yes. Yeah, right.
I believe they are Swedish company King King. So they are known for their Candy Crush and Candy Crush Saga and all their iterations of You know, very popular candy games. But King is also a very now, a very big company because of the success of like games, like, Candy Crush and they have recently come out with a new game called Knighthood. It is our latest game, I think. See when did this get released? Like about two weeks ago or something like that or like a
week ago, okay. Yeah, very recent but let me read you the tagline. Knighthood become the ultimate night. Okay. Oh, that's it. Okay. It's so we guess we'll find out what that means. The ultimate night. That was that the last ever night? Right. So it seems like what the 1.0 version of this game. Actually came out eight months ago, so it's been around, okay, but yeah. One, the rage night, Banda fighting conquer. Okay. Maybe there's also a nap night. Born to relax and snooze.
Yeah. All right. I will play this. I will become the ultimate night. Excellent. Let's see. What kind of night you choose is I think there is like this, this you can customize your night. I feel okay. And it'd be interesting to see how you make your night. Come on, as we can. Find out before we go Sam, do you ever think of the week? I do have a thing of the week. So you talking about your Rodeo notebook. Me made me jealous and so I knew that I had a road in Notebook somewhere.
So I scrounged around. And found my old Rodeo notebook, which still had plenty of pages left. Did you find some old notes that you looked at him at? What the hell is this? I did all nonsense. Yeah, ripped it out, threw it out. It's a DOT. It's a DOT grid. Know, we're gonna book as well. And, you know, I've been using my fountain pen for a little bit and I've been using it on Post-its and I thought it worked pretty well, but using my fountain pen on the rodeo notebook, what a delight.
Oh you had a fountain pen? Yeah, yeah I've still not sure I'm ready to jump into the world of fountain pens, but I'm glad you were just it the way that the paper absorbs but also it doesn't doesn't absorb the ink. It's very, very nice. It's you have You have to try it to believe it.
Okay? Well, the my rodia is still on the Shelf. I've gone for the Black Wing notebook that I picked up last week, first, little bit larger format, because now that I'm not having to, well, move out of this chair for eight hours, a day at work, have a slightly bigger notebook. That doesn't need to be too portable. I wish I'm enjoying the extra real estate but yes, I look forward to. I look forward to this or Horror. Oh dear. That's nice. So which one do you want? Is it the web notebook?
Describe something is a web web book now web notebook. I don't know what makes it web. Could the orange cover? Oh I see. Orange cover. It's just a DOT pad number 16. Let's see. It's about like six inches by 8 inches. Oh nice. I think it's a very nice size. I like the spiral because you know doesn't get into my Slap. Yo lies flat. Yeah I love the practicality of the Spiral. I just don't like the Aesthetics of it. Right?
That's what is why stroke? I'd also like the wobbliness of the pages can be that my issue with a spiral. But yes I do. Lying flat is a big deal for some people. Yeah, I think because we're not really carrying the notebook around as well. Like you said, you're not an Intrepid reporter, it's not as wobbly, and I really do hate it when the spiral gets crumpled or like crunched up. Oh, yeah. And you can no longer turn the pages.
Oh, I hate that so much. My boyfriend does have his own spiralizing machine while he was PhD. So there's many papers to be bound. So sometimes The entire apartment gets covered in tiny. Snowflakes of hole punches and fatty. Yeah, instant confetti. You should just collect it up one day and just throw it over. Just for fun. It's tiny and gets everywhere. But it does look pretty fun. I might just turn spiral back. Buying some things for fun. Nice. Yeah.

Well, as in as Eagle are listeners, may have noticed our last week's episode was it It leads, which is my fault because I got swept up by watching An 18-hour Vietnam, War documentary. Wow, which is have you told me that I would want to watch An 18-hour Vietnam, War documentary?
And it all week ago, I would have laughed in your face, but it turns out I thought, I'll just check it out because I feel bad little bit taking you to this week because it is going off air by Netflix, have the rights to wait until June 20th. So by the time you hear this, it'll be too late. But there are many other places you can find it. It's a Ken Burns documentary. They did a PBS 2017, I think there's a whole bunch of footage from the Vietnam war that like
has never been seen before. I am currently six episodes in which I think clocks in about ten hours 10 to 11 hours and I'm still captivated and I want to get through 10 of the nights. I've got all of today and then Friday to try and finish the season, but it's you can do it. I believe in you, it is fascinating. Yeah, something I really didn't know much about at all and it's just staggering really. Another thing you can do is you can download it to your iPad and
then keep your iPad that line. That's a smart one. Good call. Yeah, right. Yep. And so, you're not connected to the internet, make sure that airplane motor Wi-Fi, doesn't turn on the next day. Again, if you set it on airplane mode, it should just keep on airplane mode sometimes. Like, if you just hit the Wi-Fi off button, it just turns it off until the next morning. Yeah. And then I'll connect again, and do you think but yeah, that is a good tip, David to your iPad. Okay.
