All right, everyone. Welcome to Quick Serve, brought to you by Amazon Prime. A lot going on in Paris. There was some stuff going on last night. Uh, Sean, you know, his birthday it is today. Oh man. Is it producer Mike's birthday? Producer Mike. 40 years old. And. Older than that, 41. Oh, God, are you 41? Yeah. I thought you were 40. Younger than you. You are still younger than me. You know what we did last night? Oh.

Do you want to tell them? Yeah, I do. It was like we had a great hang. Yeah. We did like a pre-hang and then we went to producer Mike's house and did a hang and feeling it and then. We ordered some Cap'n Crunch. We just crunched it up right there in his kitchen. Yeah, which my kids were very excited that there was about eight boxes of Cap'n Crunch just sitting in our kitchen this morning.

Tell you, the old tum-tum doesn't quite respond like it used to for me with just a pile of... We use like cooking bowls or... Yeah. Well, it wasn't like a, it wasn't like, it wasn't like a, it wasn't a rational bowl. Only about half of our audience is like in the United States. So I'm pretty sure Captain Crunch is illegal where most of our other listeners. No, that's not true. Crunch is global. It's global.

crunch is global order it on amazon prime i bet you can't it's global oh it is absolutely global but i guess this isn't a show about captain crunch happy birthday producer mike thank you 41 you don't look a day over 40 i feel it There was some good stuff today at Roland Garros.

We picked Tommy Paul. We thought the body, you know what? You remember like way long ago, like four days ago when he had a grade one strain in his ab and I was like, this is going to be really tough. Not for Terminator Tommy. three three and three over alexi popper and the guy just he just knows how to play tennis like he's just really fun to watch uh musetti i made up one on the old jw he's probably just just getting those dreams in right now somewhere in paris musetti four sets over

Runa, bracket still alive. Zhang, Zhang, Queenwen, three sets over Simsonova, sets up a quarterfinal with Sabalenka. who won in straight sets over Anna Samova, someone who has caused her problems in the past. Svitolina beats Paolini. JW got that one. I didn't. I spent all of 24 getting beaten by Paolini.

And then I bet on her. And then what happens? Svitolina happens. But friend of the show, Svitolina. Happy for her. She is playing great stuff. Props to Francis Tiafoe. Quarterfinals at Roland Garros. I don't know that the six-week lead-in would have suggested that that was going to happen, but beat Altmaier, who was the victor over Taylor Fritz in the first round.

of Roland Garros. Great stuff. And then the match of the day, I think, was Ben Shelton and Carlos Alcaraz. I'll start with a guy who lost. I thought Ben Shelton was great in this match. And I think he's really good in slams.

You know, his record in slams compared to like the rest of the tour, I guess, is what you'd want it to be if you want to contend for majors, right? Like he kind of shows up for all the majors. That extended format looks good on him. I thought he played great. I mean, beating... the guy who's been the best on clay the last couple of years is a tall task, but...

strategically, I thought Ben was fantastic. Even if he missed big forehands, he had to take them. He was doing a good job of attacking Carlos to the forehand with his inside-out forehand that then opened it up to the backhand. He created some space. You know, I thought Carlos played really well. That first set goes the other way. And we always say it's just a game of inches and all that stuff. But it really is like Ben wins that first set. And all of a sudden.

He pulls on the nerve strings a little bit and everything else, but Carlos is just, he's just so good on this surface, right? He was just able to find that space enough times. He started hitting that fadeaway backhand up the line where Ben was kind of fishing up above his shoulder a little bit. Hard time creating pace above the shoulder, especially on a slow ball. I speak that from firsthand knowledge. But Carlos was fantastic. And there's another great lineup for tomorrow.

Goff, Alexandrova, Boisson, Pagoula, Nori and Novak, which is interesting because we talked about it in the little rant that I went off of a couple weeks ago with guys whining about getting hit. with a ball and i couldn't stand it one of the ones that was like i was like oh that was was nori novak turned around about three feet away and nori lit him up and novak was not happy about it

So I'm sure that they've gotten over it. I'm sure Nori was just like, you know, my best chance is probably just to take him out at point-blank range. But Nori doesn't get tired. You know, this has the ability, if you're Novak, I think Novak wins this match, but... It's going to be a battle. I mean, he's going to make himself known to Novak's legs in this one for sure. Sinner and Rublev, Will Rublev, listen, he's still looking for his first Grand Slam semifinal, which is...

which is like crazy to say out loud considering how good he has been. I don't know that Sinner is going to be stopped anytime soon. Andreva Kazitkina will be a great one. Zverev, Greek spore, Greek spore. was way up until he wasn't against this tournament last year. Keys and Baptiste will be very interesting. And Bublik, obviously he's in the fourth round of the French Open. He's pretty sure he's talked...

a lot of shit about clay before being like, this is just a waste of my year when we come over here. And then all of a sudden fourth round comes back from two sets down against the demon. Do you guys have that on your bingo card for, for the old boob lick?

I just think Draper is playing too well. I think he's – I've said it at nauseam on this show. I think he's been the third best player in the world this year outside of Carlos and center. That's about it, guys. Anything? I know the show looks a little bit different.

right now, because you all are in South Carolina, and we are going to go meet one Andre Agassi down there tomorrow. So I'm in the home studio. I'm traveling down the smarter... brains on our on our show went down there to just kind of do the full setup but uh i'm kind of pumped for tomorrow we're going to shoot with andre on tomorrow which is going to be a monday

And then that show will be, we're going to let that rip tater chip out on Tuesday before Andre gets on a plane and goes over and works for TNT, right? yeah yeah we will give you guys the the full boat our normal tuesday release uh you know we'll try and get it out as early as we can in the morning but we're gonna turn it around as quickly as possible

Really excited for this. We just came from a crew dinner, came back to the house, and we saw Andre and Steffi on a golf cart. It's so cool. Going to whatever event they have tonight. It's so cool. That's the coolest thing I've ever seen. That's so many grand slayers. The casual married couple just taking a golf cart to dinner. How about in a two-seater golf cart that's full? Everyone on the golf cart has won every major in an Olympic gold medal.

How's that? That's absolutely an absurd statement. There's only one golf cart that would kind of, that's the one. You saw the one that fits that criteria. You saw the one golf cart on earth that fit that criteria. That's absolutely absurd, actually. It's pretty cool. I can't wait. I mean, listen, we've had a lot of pinch me moments on this show since we started it.

Tomorrow I will be nervous. I'm friends with Andre. We talk all the time. And having your childhood idol on the show that you now do, this dumb little podcast that is... also presented by Amazon Prime. It's going to be great. I'm looking forward to it. I'm getting a little in my own head about it, but we'll have a great time. I promise you one thing. Andre is not going to be scared to get in the weeds.

on any subject he is so there's not going to be any vague answers i'll tell you that much right there like he's he will want to get into the weeds this could be a long show Oh, I hope so. I hope so. Well, be sure to hit the subscribe button. Follow us all that stuff. So, you know, when it pops up, notifies you. Hey, Sean, where's that subscribe button?

I think it's at the bottom of the page. If you scroll all the way down. I think it's at the top. It's at the top. Just scroll around. Take a look. Just look for a red bar. I have faith in our listeners. They're going to find it and they're going to press it. Press it for Andre.

If you don't, if you don't, if you don't press it for producer Mike, press it for Andre. All right. Anyways, thanks for, for listening to a quick serve, watching quick serve presented by Amazon prime. We will see you incredibly soon. We'll see you. Support for the show comes from Amazon Prime.
