Psalm 19 tells us that God reveals Himself in two ways: in nature and in Scripture. Nature proclaims the splendour of the Glory of God, and Scripture gives us a fuller understanding of who God is.

Sermon Series: Cross Over Our guest speaker, Darcy Dueck, wrapped up our sermon series on salvation by talking about union with Christ, the foundational doctrine of salvation. He encouraged us to build our identity on who we are in Christ, which is a good foundation. He reminded us that our union with Christ is good news, and we must continue to develop good habits as we abide in Christ.
Sermon Series: Cross Over Our guest speaker, Phil Barnes, reminded us that true salvation leads to sanctification. We are progressively made holy as we cooperate with the Spirit of God in our lives. God is faithful, and He will finish the work of sanctification. Our role is to actively say no to sin and strive to live a holy life.
Sermon Series: Cross Over Guest speaker, Randy Hoffman, shared about the beautiful aspect of reconciliation in salvation. God, through Christ, has restored us into a right relationship with Himself. As sinners, our relationship with God is broken. But God moved first by sending His Son to die for us. Our response is to receive this reconciliation with joy and then tell others about it.

In Old Testament times, prophets, priests and kings were anointed with oil to be set apart for God's special purposes. When Jesus came, He was anointed with the Holy Spirit to proclaim good news and perfectly fulfill the roles of prophet, priest and king. As believers, we too are anointed by the Spirit of God at salvation to be set apart for God's work in the world.

But in His infinite grace and mercy, as our guilt was credited to Christ on the cross, He gave us His righteousness. Now we stand before God clothed in the righteousness of Christ.
Sermon Series: Cross Over Guest speaker, Kris Konig describes the amazing gift of forgiveness we have in Christ. Every person is born with a sin nature, separated from God. We have missed the mark of the glory of God. But through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is available to us. God cleans the dirt of our sin and erases the debt it causes. His mercy is freely given to those who repent. This causes us to praise God and extend forgiveness to others.

We were unable to rescue ourselves, enslaved by the god of this world. Easter Sermon Gary Goodkey, our teaching pastor, reminded us of the good news of Christ's resurrection. We are to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and His kingdom, constantly centering our minds on Him. We do this because the ultimate reality is that Jesus is seated on a throne in the heavens ruling over the universe, our identity is that we are raised with Christ, and our destiny is that we also will appear with Him in glory.
