185: Doorknockers on doorknocking

It’s a big episode of doorknocker discourse! Emerald is joined by two of the countries’ best political doorknockers - Andrew Mason, recently from the successful Ryan campaign, and Oskar Summers-Dixon, who’s led field campaigns for the Greens in New Zealand, Melbourne, and Tasmania. First up is a look at some of the news of the week (10:56), as antisemitism envoy Jillian Segal has a scary list of proposals and a scary Advance-donating husband. Meanwhile, the court finds no duty of care owed to Torres Strait Islanders by Australia over climate change. Then a deep dive into doorknocking (39:14). Why is it so mythologised? Is it still effective? Is it the solution to hopelessness?
