This episode kicks off with a discussion on the Derby Della Madonnina Champions League Semi Final between Milan & Inter, where Inter reigned supreme & progressed to the final with an aggregate of 3-0. In Serie A news, we take a look at Matchday 35, where Milan once again disappointed, losing out 2-0 at the hands of relegation contenders Spezia, meaning that the top 4 race & the relegation battle are wide open.
Napoli have been crowned champions of Serie A for the first time in 33 years, whilst we wave goodbye to Sampdoria. The 6 teams fighting for top 4 all faced off in this matchday, with Roma taking on Inter, Milan facing Lazio & Juve visiting Atalanta in Bergamo. Juventus, Milan, Inter, and Atalanta all drop points in their quest for Champions League qualification while Cremonese manage back to back victories in Serie A for the first time since 1996.
We were blessed with another weekend of fantastic Serie A action with a touch of comedy, as many goals were comical to say the least. Lazio prove that they are indeed the best of the rest while the Milan clubs continue to struggle to turn good performances into 3 points. The relegation battle heats up as Cremonese and Hellas Verona both managed an unlikely victory.

Join us as we go through an international break rundown, some transfer news and hot topics, as well as our very own tops and flops for each Serie A team so far this year.
Matchday 27 blessed us with the Derby Della Italia & the Derby Della Capitale, which both contained bags of controversy. In other news, Udinese managed a victory over champions AC Milan, as their recent spell of form has once gain come to an end. Sampdoria got a rare victory in a relegation 6-pointer over Verona, as they look to turn things around with 11 matches to go.
We are aware of the annoying buzzing sound at the beginning of the episode. Don't worry, it stops after 5 minutes :) With Napoli 18 points ahead, all teams battling for top 4 dropped point points. Atalanta, Inter & Roma lost out to Napoli, Spezia & Sassuolo respectively, whilst Milan & Lazio were held by Salernitana & Bologna. Juventus got past Sampdoria, however, as they will look to hustle back into the picture, & are even looking quite likely to win their appeal....
Both Roman teams took a massive step in the race for the Champions League, with both sides winning thanks to sensational strikes. Lazio beat Napoli 1-0 in Naples, which was just Napoli’s second loss of the season, whilst Roma edged past Juventus with the same scoreline. Inter managed to get all 3 points against Lecce, whilst Fiorentina ended Milan’s winning streak in Florence. The 2 relegation battles in Sampdoria vs Salernitana & Spezia vs Verona both ended goalless.
Napoli continued to run rampant, as Inter slipped up to bogey team Bologna, whilst Milan came out victorious in a 6-pointer against Top 4 Contenders in Atalanta, where Zlatan also made his first appearance of the season. Cremonese caused a serious upset as they gained their first victory of the season against Mourinho's Roma, with the manager earning himself his 3rd dismissal of the season, more than any outfield player in Serie A this season. Juventus came out victorious in the Derby Della Mole...
The race for Europe has taken yet another turn, as Atalanta lost out to Lecce, whilst Milan took their place in 4th after beating Monza 0-1. Let's see what happens next week, as Atalanta visit the San Siro for what will be a 6-pointer. Juventus climbed to 7th place despite their 15-point deduction, whilst Roma, Lazio, Inter & Napoli gained 3 points. We were also blessed with the Derby dell'Arno this week between Fiorentina & Empoli, which ended 1-1.
Napoli have extended their lead at the top of the table to 15 points after thrashing Cremonese 3-0, with Inter dropping 2 points after a goalless draw to Sampdoria. Milan returned to winning ways after beating Torino 1-0, & carried that momentum into the Champions League Round of 16, beating Spurs with the same result. Things also heated up in the relegation battle, as Verona are now just 2 & 4 points behind Spezia & Salernitana respectively.
Matchday 21 brought us quite the low-quality Derby Della Madonnina, but hey, we were blessed with one hell of a Derby Dell'Appennino! Tune in to stay updated with the weekly happenings of Serie A!
Napoli continue to run rampant, as they defeated Roma 2-1 to increase their advantage to 13 points. Inter also managed a victory over Cremonese, whilst Milan suffered a devastating home loss, 2-5 to 16th placed Sassuolo. However, it was the countless wonder-goals that stole the headlines this week, as Osimhen, Marin, Gonzalez, Origi, Okereke, Dia & Mota all netted sensational strikes.
Juve were docked 15 points, the Milan teams each dropped 3 points, whilst Napoli continued their winning ways, increasing the gap between 1st & 2nd to 12 points. The race for top 4 is as tight as it gets, with Milan on 38 points, Lazio, Inter & Roma on 37, & Atalanta on 35.
When 1st takes on 2nd, we normally witness somewhat of a cagey affair. However, this was not the case as Napoli absolutely battered Juventus, handing them their worst defeat in 30 years. Salernitana also suffered a historic defeat, losing 8-2 to Atalanta, which led to the sacking of Davide Nicola. Massimiliano Alvini was also released from his duties at Cremonese, after failing to win a single game in 18 matches. Inter also gained ground on Milan, after the latter were held 2-2 by Lecce.
It was a week of last-minute drama, with Tammy Abraham, Razvan Marin & Luca Caldirola all stirring the pot with the final whistle looming. Coincidently, all of these matches ended at 2-2. Tune in to hear all the latest happenings, along with play-by-plays, & a few giggles here & there.
We're back in, & there's already so much to talk about. Inter handed Napoli their first defeat of the season & broke into the top 4. Milan & Juventus both came out victorious, making things more interesting at the top. Lazio were the team that surrendered their 4th spot after losing to Lecce, & Mourinho's men capitalised on that, by beating Bologna in classic Mourinho fashion & drawing on points to their city rivals.
The World Cup break has come to an end, & as we look forward to the return of Serie A, perhaps it's also time to refresh our memories on the season so far. We use this episode to do just that, whilst also looking forward to the upcoming fixtures, breaking them down for all of you.
