How Site Rankings Can Get Screwed by DDoS Attack

Would it be better to create a unique title for each article and then in the first paragraph reference that it is part 3 of 5 in the series and then provide links to each of the previous articles? When running websites for different interests and small businesses with different topics, is it better to use my name as the author for all of them, or set up a different profile for each site; How your site's Rankings can get screwed by a DDoS attack and how to protect against one.
