Maude Minvera stood in the penthouse of the Minerva tower, blue lotus drops circulating in her veins keeping the black worm parasite subdued. She was drinking in the ostentatious figure that was her grandmother Miriam Minerva, unknown to her her entire life. It would have been difficult to take in the room, her grandmother and the great lie she’d been told with a clear head, let alone filled with diluted blue lotus.
