Welcome to seniors , beers, knowers and doers, a podcast about intuition. Do you know what that is? Intuition to me is that inner sense for knowing that something is true and yet I have no proof but there's so many definitions and there's so many ways it can come and we'll even bring together and share with you some amazing guests. You have some amazing life stories and also some insights into how intuition can come and I'm looking to gather those crows in the trees. I hope you're one of them.
I hope that this podcast inspires you to be more connected to your intuition and I hope that by doing that we make the world a better place. Thanks for coming on this journey with me. Someone asked me recently, what is it with the crows in the trees Heather and so I thought I'd give you guys the explanation in case some of you are in the same mindset. What's with the crows and the trees? A little bit of background.
When I was very young, probably five or six, my dad said to me one day at the kitchen table over dinner, Heather, just go out and talk to the birds. The reason he said that was because I was talking, chatting away, chat, chat, chat, chat, chat and my own little chatty Cathy kind of way.
So the next day walking to school or I'm not even sure if it was that same night I did and every day going to school, walking to school throughout all my elementary years, I said good morning to the crows and talk to the crows because they were the words that were there and so crows and I've had very close connections since I was a little person. Crows to me are extremely smart. I think that this matters bird on the planet because they can actually make tools.
They are family oriented, community oriented. When one dies they all gather and grieve in the trees. I've witnessed that and I think we've all witnessed that without knowing what was going on. You can feel the actual grief in the air if it's a grieving meeting versus a meeting of the community that happens every night.
If you watch the skies in your community, if you have crows in your community, and I think most communities do, if you watch the skies around five o'clock or just before sundown, not five o'clock o'clock right now cause it's fall, but a half, an hour to 45 minutes before sundown, the crows from the area will all fly to a designated spot. Uh , we have a few around our city, once, whole bunch of trees by the university and other ones downtown.
Sometimes it's another place just on the side of town and they all gather before sunset. It's like a daily meeting. It's what happened with you today. Is everybody okay? Is everybody counted for, they will make a lot of noise. It upsets a lot of people if they don't know what they're doing and then they go, they go do their thing. But every single day. And if you're on the flight path, you will just be astounded by the number of crows flying overhead.
And they don't necessarily do that in a noisy way, but you're on the flight path. It is definitely like you're at a busy airport and you'll see the crows. The other thing about crows is they have a deep meaning in that they are messengers, they are messengers of spirit, they are holders of wisdom. And they to me also witness everything. There was a CBC, Donald , the documentary, I think the nature of things on crows. And they have the ability to recognize faces.
They know who's treated them properly, who hasn't they, they have an uncanny knowing. Now, the other thing that crows mean to me, they sometimes allow, I'll say I'm spirit of others to arrive or be represented by them. For instance, they will show up at weird times in the right amount of numbers to represent people who have passed on. In my note in my life, there's one Crow that hangs out where my mom lives and that's my dad.
And we acknowledge him and he , uh , acknowledges us in the way a Crow would if we'd go for ice cream, guaranteed there's a Crow at the ice cream place, and there are uncanny times that a Crow fi in front of my path while I'm driving just to say hello or to say, Hey, slow down, or pay attention. Or are they just maybe on the side of the road randomly, which isn't random or on the way to work? There'll be one or two or three sitting on a lamppost strategically. Again, I know it's them.
Crows are everywhere, but there's a different energy when the crows are representing or embodying somebody who's in the spirit world. So I encourage you to start paying attention to the crows around you. If you go outside and somebody is calling like crazy and they don't, usually, you don't usually have a Crow outside your door. Pause, ask what the messages, ask what you need to know, ask why and sit with it before you get in that car or do anything else.
Just pause, pause long enough to see what pops in your head or however you receive your intuition. Because animals have a way of bringing that to us as well.
So when I say come be Crow in the tree, I'm imagining the gathering at the end of the day where we all share, we all have the same intention and attention and we're community a very wise or wiser or more aware people ultimately witnessing the world around us and keeping our connection with each other as well as with spirit, with God, whatever your belief system is and the earth. So that's a little bit about what I mean by come be a Crow in the tree and what crows mean to me until next time.
Thank you so much for giving us your time today. We truly appreciate our guests for sharing their stories and insights about how intuition has impacted their lives.
