Welcome to Sears beers, knowers, and doers , a podcast about intuition. Do you know what that is? In today's podcast. I wanted to talk to you about something that's becoming a theme in the last few months that I've noticed and has even shown up on some podcast or recordings that I've done with guests. And that is how intuition helps connect us with ourselves and with our soul. Not everybody thinks about their soul on a daily basis, but it's a huge part of who we are. It's actually who we are. Our physical body is just a vehicle for that soul. And not everybody
Thinks that way,
But if you have ever been a witness to somebody passing away, whether it's a pet or a loved one, you know, that there's a difference in the being in that physical body, when the soul leaves and it's it's undeniable, if you've ever experienced it, I've had the experience only with pets, but it's been profound. The difference in the body when the soul's not present.
And I think that these times going on right now are actually multidimensional in what it's presenting to us as things either from a stress perspective or from a, an opportunity perspective.
And I see different people living it different ways, and there is no wrong way everybody's having their own individual experience, but something I'm noticing in the people that are seeing it as an opportunity is they have created a stronger connection with their soul in the last two years or two months or two weeks than they had previously.
And that may manifest in many different ways from being true to themselves, to being able to say no, to figuring out what they enjoy, to being more okay with their own company, to aligning with different people. It, it just maps out to so many different ways. And, and in those people that are more connected to their soul than they were previously, the amount of joy I'm seeing or contentment, or literally wholeness, like not needing to fill a whole external things, be it material or busyness.
Those things are patterns that I'm seeing with people who are more so connected. And what does this have to do with intuition? , I'm , I'm taking a long time to get there, but I think it has everything to do with intuition. I think that intuition is our way that we connect to ourselves like Karen Jones said, but it's also a way that we connect with our spiritual side, our soul side. And it's a way that we connect with soul family. And it's a way that we connect to me with my belief system.
It's a way that I connect with God, but that can also be a way that I connect with mother nature and animals and all living beings. It's also, that could be for somebody else, their connection to the universe or source. It's all I'm , I'm seeing that there's this increase in connection. And if you listen to different people in the universe of the internet who speak about, you know, be it numerology or astrology, or there's somebody who's connected to kind of a off sea mindset are channeling.
Then you're hearing that there is this up surge of soul connection. There is this up surge of everybody becoming more connected. And it's, it's such a interesting dynamic because over the last two years, there's been a disconnection of the physical being, being able to connect with other physical beings. So , uh , it's almost like we needed to go inside our houses to reconnect in some cases with ourselves and figure out who we are now , this hasn't been everybody's journey.
Some people were already connected before this two years occurred. And some people are, are struggling with the, the stress of a it all, because they've had a very, very stressful experience in the last two years.
And I can't tell people what to do as much as I like telling people what to do, but my personal experience when I feel the most out of control or when I feel the most off center is I need to, I need to connect with nature and I need to connect with that bigger being that is all knowing. And so it's almost like I've had disconnection and then I'm craving the connection.
So when I'm in fear or out of control, there's something that has kind of body checked me from a soul perspective, outta my alignment, with the thing that I have faith in, that's bigger than me and my intuition is my gateway to that connection.
So if, if this speaks to you in any way, whether you are recognizing yourself that you're more connected to your intuition, more connected to who you are more connected to your soul, I am super excited for your journey and your evolution with where your intuition and your soul is gonna take you. It's, it's just an amazing journey. I mean, I'm not gonna say I'm further along on the journey than you. I just know when I'm in alignment with my flow, which I've, I've recently put a word on it.
When I'm in alignment with my flow, then everything is exactly as it should be. And there's a peacefulness and awareness that when I say no to certain things, or when I say yes to certain things, it's because it's in alignment with me and in my flow and to falls in that, right?
So if this speaks to you that you're not feeling that sense of peace or joy, or you're not feeling in alignment, you're feeling body checked , you are feeling in a circumstance where fear is running your mind and your body more frequently during the run of a day than any other emotion, fear, or stress. And that can come from so many different places.
But I think it's a , always the same answer from my perspective is that that's a cry for connection connection to yourself, connection to your intuition connection, to your flow connection, to that higher being to mother nature. It's a scream for that connection because when we have a faith that there's something else that's along for the ride with us, when we have a realization that our intuition is that gateway to alignment or to flow.
When we have a sense that we've got tools just by being more present and by creating opportunities for us to connect with nature, even that simple, sometimes huge endeavor to connect with nature can be all that's required to pull you out of a state of fear. Cuz fear comes from a place of unknowing and it comes from a place of reliving past experiences or worrying about the future. Sometimes fear is a real emotion that is because of our present experience.
And I would say in those moments, that's aligned with our intuition, cuz fear sometimes can be a, Hey, no stop. Don't do that. And that's an intuition. So it's a it's where on the timeline is your fear? Is it in the present moment? Is it in the past? Is it in the future? Is our body feeling fearful because of our present circumstances? And it's because our body is actually on autopilot in a state of fear.
If that's the case, if you can discern those things, which I may be asking for the sun moon and stars there, but if you can discern those things, there's a way to pull your body into alignment with the present moment. And it's, there's law, lots of information about it online. Um , but it's been a fascinating place that I have delve into.
And that's the polyvagal theory, the vagus nerve, the sympathetic and parasympathetic dynamic of rest and digest versus fight flight or free and how our body literally at a nervous system level can stay in a state of stress. Even when our stimuli in our environment is not stressful. So I encourage you to look into that.
If you're being nudged to look into that, there is a lot of resources out there, but I'm gonna share with you a couple of tips that are so easy that anybody can do almost anywhere and pull your body out of the sympathetic state. If that's where it is hanging out too often. So the first one is deep breathing which not everybody does.
And deep breathing for the vagus nerve can also involve humming vibration of humming or singing will actually create a stimuli on the vagus nerve that kind of wakes it up and says, excuse me, what, what's your present moment? Is it actually stressful?
And should I actually state in this stress state with my sympathetic system on so humming singing, deep breathing, you can also use your skin as a trigger and that can be simply massaging your ears, which sounds really strange, but especially the area above the hole where you hear the area directly attached to your head to small little circles of moving the skin in that area. The vegus nerve is underneath there and you're soothing the vegus nerve with that slight gentle massage on your ears.
You would massage your ears until you swallowed or yawned or took a deep breath or your shoulders dropped, or you took a sigh. Maybe you just felt different in your body. All of those things can take maybe a minute or two, maybe 30 seconds. You can take a short break and then do it again. You can do it throughout your day. Similar with the breathing similar with the singing or humming. Um, there's no too often. There's no , um , doing it wrong. um, all of those can be done at any time of day.
Another interesting tool is to stare directly in front of you consciously keep being your face, perpendicular to the wall, like staring at that wall in a perpendicular straight line. And then looking to the left wall with your face, kind of glued to the wall across from you. So looking to the wall at the left until you swallow or sigh or yawn or your shoulders drop.
And when that happens, keep your face glued to that wall across from you and look to the right side until your yawn swallow blank, shoulders drop, something changes in your body. Those few activities. If you wanna put those into your day, they're gonna help you connect a little bit more with your body. They're gonna help you connect with the present moment. They're gonna have you turn that switch off between stressed all the time and actually in rest and digest more often.
And that will help you get more in the present moment. Like I say, and if you've heard any of the pre give you a podcast, I would say 40%, 60% are actually telling you that intuition happens in the present moment. . And at the start of this podcast, I referred to how intuition is gay . We two ourselves, our soul, something bigger than us. That's all the knowing and mother nature.
And when you've got those four things going on, your dynamic shift will happen where the amount of joy and peace and contentment ramps up and the amount of time you're staying in fear decreases. It's a really neat experiment that I've witnessed the outcome with people as a trend in the last three or four months. And I've been on my own journey of it in the last, I don't know , 15, 16 years.
So it's not something that necessarily happened overnight or can happen overnight, but it's a process to stay there cuz life will send you stimuli to check . Are you where you wanting to be? Are you wanting to be in alignment with all these things or are you wanting to be out of alignment with all these things? And out of alignment is sometimes just we're are the lessons happen? So there's no wrong. There's no wrong at all. I just have realized that it is more fun to be in the flow.
So I wanted to share those things with you today. I was nudged to give you those tools as well, and I strongly encourage you to look them up. If you're nudged to learn more or about them, I hope that you're enjoying this journey with me. It has been a huge pleasure to connect with my podcast guests and receive feedback from you guys.
