Episode description

Having spent 8 years of her childhood in Iran in a time of war, Leila Mireskandari was accustomed to seeing her life with a "scarcity mentality." She thought she couldn't make any difference in the world as a whole and that she should only focus on her and her family. This changed when she moved to Canada, became a mother and was introduced to Permaculture. She has now written edible gardening curricula for schools and taught hundreds of kids how to grow food, sustain gardens and essentially provide the necessities to life that may not always be available in our economy. Find out today how this incredible venture has changed Leila's life in several different ways and how learning about edible gardening could improve your life as well. ALSO AVAILABLE ON ITUNES
