Episode description

As SPC goes on hiatus while Marc and Remso lick their wounds from a rough couple months in their personal lives, we wanted to make sure you don't forget us, so here's a classic episode where we look at the 90's rebirth of The X-Men!

The X-Men were the hottest thing in comics in the early ‘90’s, so much so that America’s favorite mutants could no longer be confined solely to their mainstay title “Uncanny X-Men.” The simply titled “X-Men” , written by classic X-Men writer Chris Claremont and illustrated by Jim Lee, Marvel pulled out all the big guns for this launch. Did the X-spansion live up to the hype? Marc and Remso do a deep dive on this relaunch and and discuss just why the X-Men have been so captivating over the years. They also touch on Magneto's portrayal as sympathetic villain, Gambit's constant sexual harassment of Rogue, a confusing game of telepathic mind control and the weirdness of Mojoworld, and so much more!

For continuing paywall content during the hiatus, be sure to head to our Patreon where you'll continue to find movie and tv reviews as well as bonus shows like "Remso vs the DCEU", "What Marc Missed", "Tales from the Fuck It Pile" and more!
