Twenty three shots is good, but boy, oh boy, we got to put one away Stuber and Gold was good for
them and we were a little un lucky. The one off the crossbar for Ruy Diaz. The deflection that went over the crossbar at Tensio shot early in the second half was good. It was off by less than a foot for sure. So but you got to earn your luck. That is it's that is a consistent thing we hear in our game is you got to earn your luck. And I believe it too. So we were just u we were unlucky. Maybe we didn't earn the luck that we needed tonight. You know,
it is great that Andrew Thomas got the shutout. He didn't have a lot of work to do until Finley AND's artists subbed in late in the game, and then he was under some pressure and he did well with it. But yeah, that that's uh, it's tough. And and there was one play where Alex Wildon had to throw in. Threw it to Oriaga and he took it on his left foot and then played a ball. I think what we had everybody in the box take a touch with the right foot and then
whip it in. So we missed out on some on some chance there was he just sent it to the corner flag. Yeah, and so yeah, and that's just this is MLS. You can't do that. And so I think that our locker room gonna be really quiet. There's gonna be some serious frustration. Ruy Diaz I thought was sharp and it was a bright spot when he came on. That's important. That's important for him, that's important for the team. Jordan moorese had some good fight for I like that he went
ninety minutes. So yeah, just it was it's tough. Let's hope that dal le Vegas, you know, he came off because of injury in the sixtieth minute. Brian said he would play sixty minutes. Let's hope that that's nothing too serious. Let's hope that dy le Vegas is not serious. It's also hope that Leo Choose is not serious, as he came off in the eightieth minute for injury as well. It's because he is always looking to get his shot, always looking to get a goal. So he had one where Chu probably had better lined up rulyas got in front of them and took
the shot. But I liked it that was as much activity and much balance in as step as much as much sort of direct I gotta get a goal drive that I've seen in a while from Rowell, and I think he'll feel good about it. I think the coaching staff will feel good about it, Devine and the players too. I thought defensively, it was a solid game with the work that they ended up having to do, which wasn't much,
but it was solid. Yeah, that's well said. They didn't have a lot of work to do, but when they did, they rose to the occasion. Andrew Thomas came out twice in the first half on crosses in traffic. It was good. That's important. He was. He was decisive with it, strong for sure. So but I'll tell you what, when when Finley subbed in and when Zartis subbed in, that's a lot of goals. That's one hundred plus goals and MLS one hundred and twenty between those two
guys, and they they caused some problems. And I think we even said at halftime that Josh Wolf would probably do that. Bring both those guys on the last twenty minutes, so they had to weather that. They had to ramp back up because all of a sudden, now the way that the game was being played, they had to adjust and they did a good job. So yeah, good coverage all the way around, and good for Andrew Thomas getting his first his first shutout in Major League Soccer, and we'll see if

We don't know about Nathan we don't know about Yamagome Andrade. We don't know about Pedro di Levego, who came off in the sixty fourth minute, and we don't know about Leo Chi who came off in the eightieth minute. I think that's it. Well, what we do know is that they all have eleven and we'll have eleven an our eleven a half to beat their eleven. That's true. They are zero wins, two ties, They've scored three goals, they've given up three goals. So but this is a good team.
I watched them play ten days ago in conky Caff game and they were very very good, very dangerous, good goal scoring. Uh that's that's a club that's been on the cusp for a long time due to win an MLS Cup. Really they've been they've been good and and they got caught. We have Colorado after that. I know Brian Spencer wanted to get the win today because
they expect Philadelphia to be a tough place to go and play. So but yeah, we got to get these guys healthy, and then we've got to start finding some wins, right, That's that's the nature of this business. You know. We had a lot of veterans. today, yes, and deservedly so. And uh, there's a lot of good talent on this squad, so I know they're going to be very frustrated. I bet the locker room is quiet, and got to go and take care of business at Philadelphia and and find a way to get a win, go steal a win. Today was a great day for Ozzie and our club. The lines going out the building for autographs for him earlier today. Today was a wonderful celebration for Ozzie Well, and you know, he defected from Cuba with the national team in a in a I don't know if it's a grocery store or like a target or something like that. Right and then and then made his way. What an awesome story right to come here. And I remember when his father came to visit the team. It was just beautiful.
And Ozzie is a great guy. I got to with him for a few minutes at halftime, and he's such a sincere guy, and I said, you're gonna coach and he goes and I said, you need to coach, and because he'll bring such grit and fire to any team that he joins. But he is a class act. He did a great job for the Seattle Sounders. You know, since two thousand and nine, the Sounders have more points than any other team in Major League Soccer. And that standard that was
set was on Ozzie Alonzo's shoulders. So great guy, a great competitor, loved the team, love the loves the city, and it was really nice, heartwarming to see him come back. He's one of the special ones in the Seattle Sounders organization. And you know, if you're going top you know, fifty years, who are the best players. He's deserved to be top ten, easy, easily. Yeah, I think I think he's He's in the He's in the conversation for sure. For grit and leadership and health and
fighting through things. So I'm really proud of him, and I'm happy for him, and he looked good. And his kids are getting big. Holy cow, his children are not little ones running around anymore. So fifteen years in this league, and before that he was in the USL, and yeah, good for Ozzie. Legend, absolute legend, Ozzie Alonzo. Wonderful to celebrate him today as he retires a Seattle Sounder.
