Their work together - from Balm in Gilead to the more recent Book of Days - stands as some of the most beloved in the American canon. In 2002, New York's Signature Theatre devoted its entire season to the plays of Lanford Wilson, including the New York City premiere of Book of Days which was directed by Mason.
