Ian Levy is an assistant professor at Manhattan College in Counseling and Therapy. He worked as a school counselor in NYC for five years. Dr. Levy's research examines hip hop based practices in schools as a culturally responsive approach to counseling assisting students in processing difficult thoughts and feelings through the writing, recording and performing of emotionally themed music.
