Why comet 46P-Wirtanen looks the way it does

December came and with it one of the most awaited astronomical events of the year, the arrival of comet 46P/Wirtanen. It has been quite a while now since the last comet visible with the naked-eye and because of that, everyone is getting very excited about it. However, the images that we are already seeing are showing us a comet quite unusual, without its typical long tail and showing us a green colour. Why is the comet green? Where is its tail? In this episode, not only I will talk about how to photograph it, but I will talk about the science behind the way it looks.
