Resident at London's iconic @beatclublondon + weekly on @blooplondon - Redfreya plays deeply grooving, reflective music, inspired by the sounds of labels such as Mobilee, Kompakt, Get Physical, ISOLATE, Maeve, Siamese, Innervisions, Sum Over Histories and more. A rising talent in the London scene, Redfreya is drawn to melodic, percussive tracks, weaving deep groove lines with emotive vocals, and always curating an emotional arc in her sets. She is a core resident of London's leading melodic music promoter, Parable. Kicking off January '23 with her first international show of the year in Belgium, Redfreya has already shared the booth with artists like Mano Le Tough, Trikk, Frankey & Sandrino, Fideles, Ae;ther, Lee Burridge and more. Drawing on records from a wide range of genres spanning deep/melodic/afro house, indie dance, groovy tech house, rominimal, dub techno, melodic/progressive techno, Redfreya is beginning to carve out a signature sound at this early stage in her career - providing thought provoking and reflective DJ sets rich in ambience and emotional tension. A lifelong music lover, Redfreya began her musical training with a solid grounding in classical music as a flautist, singer and pianist, and was initially inspired by minimalist composers such as Philip Glass, Nils Frahm, Yann Tiersen and The Cinematic Orchestra. She is currently studying music production, and intends to be ready to release her own music later this year.
