The Ghosts of Ballarat
Episode description
For the first of two tales, Dan takes us to the old mining city of Ballarat , Australia, to explore reports of hauntings from the 19th century, and some even stranger reports of some ghost hoaxers. Such an entertaining story! Then, a supposedly true modern encounter tale of someone who might give you something new to worry about. When you think of deceased relatives and other spirits always being near and watching over you, do you ever wonder how much of your life they actually see? Lynze offers us three tales this week. Her first is not that scary but a super fun mystery that has paranormal elements. Then, a big sister encourages her younger sister to make friends with the person in the mirror. What could go wrong? Lastly, a creepy tale of something in the basement of a rental house.

Opening Sumerian protection spell (adapted):
"Whether thou art a ghost that hath come from the earth, or a phantom of night that hath no home… or one that lieth dead in the desert… or a ghost unburied… or a demon or a ghoul… Whatever thou be until thou art removed… thou shalt find here no water to drink… Thou shalt not stretch forth thy hand to our own… Into our house enter thou not. Through our fence, breakthrough thou not… we are protected though we may be frightened. Our life you may not steal, though we may feel SCARED TO DEATH."
