Transcript

Hello, ladies and gents Robert Sykes Kyo Savage.com, and I'm coming at you with another solo podcast episode in this episode, this is a short one, I'm doing a deep dive into live. Savage apparel Wonder for other companies. We have got a launch coming up. We've got a relaunch, actually coming up. We've got a bunch of new designs that we have printed in house. We have a US base supplier. We're totally revamping how we're doing live savage apparel.

So I want to give a little insight into the upcoming launch. It's happening this weekend if listening to this on this Friday when it goes live. The launch is going to be this Sunday, the 18th of September. I'm super excited about what's to come excited about what we're trying to do now with the company why we've changed directions, why we're kind of revamping how we're going about things as a company. So that for their do is sit back, relax and do a podcast about live savage apparel.

All right. So for those of you that do not know, we have a brand called live, savage apparel crust, and I launched this back in 2019, it was basically designed to be a creative outlet for us. We had the key tobruk business, we have the coaching, we have the content creation, the podcast, YouTube videos, all that stuff, which is great. We love every bit of it, but we wanted to create something.

Cystic that basically allowed us to have a creative Outlet, basically, like I work shirts, Crystal wear shirts, we all wear shirts that would be kind of cool to have a company where we put our designs arm, our thoughts, our feelings are our logos on a shirt and we could wrap that with prime.

So we rolled up our sleeves and we launched live savage, apparel back in 2019, lo and behold the pandemic happened, the whole world went upside down and we didn't really have the The momentum built the foundation, laid for live savage, apparel at that time. So we kind of put that on the back burner, and just focused on making sure the bricks were solid. Making sure the coaching was on making sure every other aspect of our lives were solid rather than really focusing on live savage.

Apparent, when we launched that back in 2019, we had like a run of t-shirts that we made. I was using a friend of mine who was screen printing in Texas. So I went down there with him, he printed the shirts, you show me how to do it. I printed a few of them and then a lot of the items, like the sports bras The leggings and stuff like that.

We got from overseas, that's pretty much where every apparel company gets their athletic apparel, all that's pretty much all those textile companies are pretty much produced overseas. Whether it's China or wherever it's all pretty much overseas. Not really many of those are produced in the states anymore. So that's kind of what we did there in 2010, we put the, you know, the apparel business on the back burner when the pandemic was happening. Plus we were moving.

We were buying, you know, this building that we're currently in renovating that that Is all throughout 2020 2021 and just a lot of things going on at that point in our life and that chapter on lives plus we were trying to get pregnant. Got pregnant had a baby line of chaos.

So the apparel kind of took a back burner there and throughout that pandemic period, when a lot of people were losing their their companies, a lot of small businesses closed their doors, especially a lot of apparel companies had to close up shop because everyone was so heavily invested in these overseas

suppliers Supply chain. You know, they that took a massive hit, all the costs went up prices increased lead times for getting garments overseas through a shipping container was just totally jacked up the porch, were all jacked. Everything's jacked up like nobody knew what they were going to pay for their their supplies the lead time for those supplies increased drastically and a lot of people were just left not really know what to do and had to close up shop.

So we put everything on the pause and taking that into consideration. Duration gave us some time to really flesh out and dive into what we wanted to do with live, savage apparel as a brand when we relaunched it, which were about to do. So going forward, we're totally changing how we go about live savage apparel. Namely point being that we are going to adopt the same core philosophies that we've adopted with the key tobruk business,

which insulated us, very fairly. Well from all the issues that supply chain, you know, issues were causing At the pandemic period because everything he told Brooke we have in-house. So like we produced the bricks and house. We do all the formulation, I mean, everything is by our own hand, that's something I'm very proud of and we decided, you know, what? This is work. So well for the brick business, let's take these same core philosophies and apply it to live savage apparel.

That's exactly what we're going to do. We bought a whole bunch of screen-printing equipment. We invested in to screen printing presses, you know, all the inks all the squeegees On the washout, Booth, the darkroom equipment, all of this stuff and we will learn how to screen print. We watched a bunch of YouTube

videos. We asked other experts in the space, we just drove into the world of screen printing, which honestly, was even better for us, because it allowed me to have that artistic outlet, that creative Outlet Flores that much more, because it's me doing the stuff and and Bryson like, Bryson, he's been with us, the longest you've been with us for three plus years. He's been in the kitchen making

bricks that entire time. So I'm super excited to be able to give him a promotion in the sense that Now, able to learn a new craft, a new trade, new skill sent and do screen printing, and he's super excited about it as well. He's incredibly detail-oriented. So having something like screen printing, be an outlet for him is also amazing.

So we're doing all of our own designs in-house now and with with the with a live sound apparel brand, we want to keep that inside in-house under our own roof philosophy, and then just bypass all the headaches that come with Outsourcing things with relying on co-packers with relying on suppliers, the relying on all of these overseas, textile companies to provide us, quality apparel, so much, so that I have found a US based supplier for all of our shirts going forward.

So not only are we printing. The designs were not only designed and Designs printing designs and putting them on a shirt. We also found a u.s. supplier for all of our shirts. We don't have the ability to actually be cutting and sewing and You know, making a loom and making the actual garments themselves, maybe someday but not right now. But we did find a u.s. supplier

to do just that. So going forward all of our designs, all of our items through live sandwich apparel are going to be 100% made in the USA, not like made somewhere else and then finished in the USA. No, no 100% made in the USA and then we are printing all those designs. So, when you get a shirt from us going forward, it's going to have a sticker in there. Says 100% made in the USA. I say and printed.

I mean these are going to all be printed by us, which is something I'm super proud about them. I'm proud to be an American I'm proud to live in America and I'm proud to create more than just consume. We live in a consumption society in which we were allowed, everybody else to create, do the work? And then we just consume it. My Philosophy has always been to add more value than I take. I'm proud to be creating

something with keto brick. I'm proud to now be creating something with live savage apparel. We are creating more so than we are consuming, which is something I am very, very passionate about. With these lips average apparel launches or probably going to have a new design, dropping roughly every month or so. So we're going to be really aggressive with these new designs. We're going to have things that

are seasonal based. We're going to have different designs based off of motivational sayings things. That we believe in philosophy is that we try to live by. And then again we're gonna have seasonal base, like, hoodies and jackets during the colder months, you know, short sleeve and short from the warmer months. This first launch is going to take place the whole unveiling relaunch of lives. Apparel is going to take place

this month. September 18th at 12 noon Centrum it's a Sunday we're going to be launching our faith over fear design Faith over fear is my 2022 Manifesto so I do a Manifesto every single year. The beginning of the year on the first of January which basically becomes not like a New Year's resolution. But my Manifesto for what this year means, what my core driving philosophy is going to be

towards that year. In 2022 that has been Faith over fear, you know 20:22 came on the heels of 2020 2021 when the world was upside down with the pandemic with covid, with the economy with supply chain issues with us moving you know, up here to Northwest Arkansas with Crystal being pregnant as having a baby finances being so freaking tight that I didn't know what I was going to do. I was just fearful of a lot of things, I was fearful of being able to be a great boss and

employee For my employees, I was fearful of being a great husband to Crystal fearful of being a great father to rigel with all of these unknown certainties in my life in our lives at that time. And that fear was debilitating, to me, it allowed me to it forced me to just adapt and I recognize that having this fear that just debilitated, my action was worthless, it wasn't, it was causing no good in my life. Life. And I try to really adopt a

stoic philosophy. I try to let actions speak louder than words, so I pretty much came to realization. That look, I'm going to give everything. I've got towards all of these Endeavors towards my, my, you know, my fathering my husband like Crystal, my wife me being as a husband, I want to be the best husband for her. I could be, I wanted to be the best employer and, you know, owner of this company for my crew and in Ring all event.

I just gave it my all and then was at peace with whatever the outcome was. I wanted to just simply do everything that was in my power and then be at peace with whatever the chips landed. And for me, that meant that I had to have faith over fear. If I'm doing everything I can, if I'm taking all my environmental factors and pouring myself into it, putting in the work, you know, grinding it out, and just doing what I had to do for that time of my

life. Then the only viable option for me was to simply be at peace with whatever the outcome was. And let that happen. As it as it may, having faith over fear that it was all going to work out and be okay. A lot of people adopt that philosophy but they do nothing, they're actionless and that to me is just laziness like, what

good can that possibly do? But if you were actually doing everything you possibly can, if you're putting forth, all the action, all the drive, all the intensity, all the aggression, all the work, then. All you have left to do is see Polly have faith, that it will be worthwhile. Otherwise, you're just going to be stressed and debilitated by

that fear of the unknown. So for me, this concept of Faith, over fear has been the the philosophy that I've wanted to adopt throughout 2022 so much so that I wrote it down and we decided to put it on a shirt. So, this is my handwriting on a shirt. It means, just, as I said, it means I'm proud to wear it. I would like for us all to adopt this philosophy because I feel like, you know, whether you make

that a stoic. See whether you make that a religious mindset, whatever you do with him, we're all going to benefit from having this Faith over. Our fear is that if we're putting in the work and doing what needs to be done and taking the action that it is going to all work out and that we have to simply be at peace with whatever

that outcome exist. So I'm super proud of what this design is. I'm probably with this design means, I'm proud to say that having this philosophy throughout this year, has allowed us to flourish as opposed to be crippled and So, I'm very proud to wear this on my chest. I feel like if we adopt this philosophy, our lives are better for it. So, I'm proud of this launch and part of the certain part of it. What it, what? It means, what it stands for.

So, going forward, this live savage apparel line of ours is going to be dropping on September 18th at noon Central. This is going to be the design that we drop. We're going to have thermals, we're going to have T-shirts. We're going to have a female specific, female fitted long sleeve shirt. All of this is made 100% in USA. All of it is 100% printed by us. And we're just super excited and proud for what it is, what is to come with lip, Savage apparel.

Thank you all. So very much for being a part of this journey. Thank you all. So very much for supporting this company and other companies we are proud and excited to continue to add more value than we take and to create more so than we consume all that said, thank you for tuning in and we will talk to you next time.
