Give you all some insight as to how 2022 is rounding out for us. Then also some big plans, we have for 2023 Competition schedule, business Endeavors, new Quito brick flavors,
parenting stuff. Ryan, Jewels food consumption, all kinds of updates. So, always always pleasure catching up with Crystal and putting it on air for y'all guys to for young guys and gals kind of see a little behind the scenes behind our life personal and professional. So without further Ado sit back relax and do the podcast with my wife. Crystal And we are live. How are you babe? So good, so good. I wouldn't improv to podcast.
I got my lovely darling. Crystal Sykes in the building, we're not doing a video on. This was the normally, when we do one, we got video and audio. This one is just audio so we can just focus on what we sound like, how you doing babe? I'm good. You good, you good today is what is the Monday? The Fifth, Fifth. We've got some exciting things in the pipeline. We figured we jump on here and talk about some year in stuff and some planes going into 2023. We get rigel here with us.
We may be cooled in the background right now. He is feeding yet another reason why we're not doing a video podcast. He's growing like a weed. He's I guess he is nearing 7 months old now huh? Yeah. Be seven months in 13 days. Yeah seven months. What are some milestones? He's hit so far as far as like people. Look at Milestones, he don't know. He's getting up on all hands are on all fours. So his hands and knees doing push-ups like legit push up.
Yeah, he's doing push-ups. He's even doing like plank style like yes up on his hands and then just on his feet and he just making lots of cooing noises and I don't know what else are. I'm, he's eating some foods. These days he's had Add. What we saw. His first meal was, what bone marrow bone marrow? And his second meal was egg yolk? Ruin. Yep. And we've had him. Try yogurt avocado. Yep. And we've had him. Try a blended mix of beef, liver elk and venison with bone broth
with bone broth, anything else? No, I think that's pretty much it. Yeah, the next thing will be what We might do a little bit of peanut butter in Yogurt, City star's, peanut butter and uh, yeah, we've only done egg yolk. We haven't done the egg whites. I had a little bit of egg whites in the yolks one time, and he didn't seem to respond to that about poor poor lead to that, but they do now say to introduce allergens early and often in order to prevent an a Allergy.
So, although we don't eat a whole lot of peanuts and peanut butter and stuff, I would like him to not have an allergy to it. And so, I'll probably put a little bit of peanut butter in his yogurt. Yeah, he seems of all the things he's tried so far. Feel like he likes the, he like the bone marrow quite a bit. Hmm, he's really digging like At first, I wasn't so sure but I think he's really digging that blend of like elk Venison and yeah, he's been really liking it.
He gets excited and we give me like this little spoon. And he will fall on. Grab the spoon, get a scoop full and shove it in his mouth. Yeah. So that's pretty impressive. Yeah, no teeth yet though. No teeth. Yeah, he's not. Not on that. I don't even see that. Any coming out. Yeah, one of who was it? That didn't have my cousin. Yeah, your tenant teeth until she was up at your over a year old? Yeah. So kind of well, she has a lot of teeth now though. I'm sure he's like, I'm just
13:13. Yeah. So I'm sure Roger will get his teeth here. So yeah, what are some other Milestones? You said he's a sleeping. We don't have anything compared to about think he's sleeping pretty well, but you yeah, he sleeps really great. People always say, oh, is he sleeping through the night and he breast feeds mostly so no. He's going to wake up and breastfeed and but he does really well. He's a really good sleeper. Honestly when there's some hard days or or days that he's just
really like, I don't know. He just Around a lot in the bed but for the most part, he does great. Yeah, what's been your biggest? What's the thing you've noticed? Most about being a mother that's far? Like was it what you expected it to be? Like, what's that look for that was my face like oh my gosh the biggest everything is different. I mean like what? Because I feel like this is the thing that you've been striving for like where's business has been something?
I've always wanted to pursue being a mother's thing that you've always wanted to pursue? Yeah is it what you expected is? It totally counter to what you expected. Are you thinking I have to remind myself that my mom sometimes like like it just feels like it's so natural that it's like, oh my gosh, like I'm a mom. Like I am a mom to a child. If, you know, it just seemed like, it seems like it's just flown like, it's gone so smoothly, you know, but it is as good, if not better than I
anticipated. And I think because I really realized that like To become a mom, you have so much more patience and the ability to just do what you need to do and before I was kind of anxious about it. I was like man I hope I'm patient enough and I hope I you know give myself or give him the grace that he needs. Because he's such a little, you know you just little tiny little baby. He's just doing what he can it is like when you see him and he's like fussy or something,
you can't. Get mad at him like he's just a little helpless infant. Yeah, I mean, you can't get mad at him. He's crying because he needs something. He's not crying because he's trying to be a turd, you know. I think that's gonna manipulate us or anything, right? Yeah, that really irritates me when I see things about, like, your baby's just manipulating, yo, that's literally not possible because they don't even have that part of the brain that that, this is that keep talking
to take my long sleeves off. It's getting hot in here, okay, but let's see what else. II don't know. Now, I just froze. I feel like for me, I mean you spend so much more time with them than I do. Like I'd get the morning my favorite for the whole day is when I wake up early, get a bunch of work done.
And then you wake up and sometimes we get some time just you and I why you still sleeping but oftentimes we'll have coffee and he'll be awake at that point and it just sit on my lap and just be totally chill because he's just woken up. Yeah, well I sit there and drink the coffee and he just chill. I freaking love that moment like that's that's special time. Yeah, it is. It is. And then I come home from work. I walk in the front door and he normally on the ground playing or something.
And then he looks up and he sees me and just start smiling and that's pretty hard to beat to. It is so sweet. Like literally every time you come home he's smiling. Like that is really cute. Yeah, I'm watching the judge. Can't keep my eyes off him. It's the QT. All right. So let's talk about. We talk about rides all day long, but I feel like I don't need those parents that just talk about to kill time.
But let's talk about some things, let's talk about some 2020 to recap here, so this is going to be going live on. The what is this is going to be going live on? What is this Friday? It is going to be going live on the 9th. Yeah the night. So pretty much the end of the year. I feel like this has been a pretty good year that we've had a lot of good things coming our way. We've had a lot of heartaches, lot of obstacles, but that makes
a strong. What's been the biggest hurdles that you I feel like we faced together as a business but also as a family this year that's far having rigel and that whole birth scenario was certainly an emotional obstacle. Yes. I were only stronger for it. Yeah. Totally. I think I did it. That's probably the biggest or maybe the hardest thing that we've gone through with as a family because it was not what we anticipated as a business.
I don't know. Isn't I don't think a specific moment that was really tough as a Business. But the first quarter of this year was really freaking bro Ruff. Yes.
I was like now it's coming back. Yeah, most of the first quarter of this year, not really depressed but probably depressed, I think it was definitely very depressed and I feel like a lot of people don't see that side of things because they like I don't try to put it out there especially I'm going through it. Like I don't really like to appear Weak or depressed, or anything like that.
I don't like that to be the Persona that I'm putting off, but the first quarter of this year was freaking rough when it comes to the business. And there were some times there were, I didn't know what was going to happen, but I feel like that's also only made us stronger and we've had a pretty solid year thus far. Since henceforth from that point that point, I agree. I feel like we've got a lot
going with the brakes for. We got a super good crew right now for that, we've got a good schedule. Umm, coming up as far as in the past, one of our issues has been not timing things. Such that we have consistent spikes in cash flow. Like we'll have a new flavor launched, it'll be totally sporadic and spur of the moment, which was not the best from a planning standpoint. Whereas, I think now going forward, we've got a plan for several new flavors going into 2023.
We've got a new flavor launching this weekend, the 11th, and I feel like that just keeps people excited to give us something new to work on. On which I'm super excited about. Yeah, which not to make this a salesy podcast by any means. But we could talk about the flavor we got drop in on Sunday. Yes, we could. Which is Mint chocolate, we're going to be launching mint.
Chocolate ladies and gentlemen. This bad boy is six grams of total carbohydrates, which is our lowest by far by several grams actually, 1,000-calorie brick. Was six grams total carbohydrates on think. Any other bar company can hold a candle to that? Yeah, I don't think so. And we've been doing several flavors that were way based, once you've found a good way, based supplier, most of our protein powders have been way based so we decided to throw one at that.
His vegetable base because I feel like a lot of people do have the sensitivities to way. So this one is a vegetable based protein, but we are using the protein from the owner of my the company Mana waves malnutrition. They just change the name of the show with the new brand is, but I had him on the podcast Flex. He was the guy that actually beat me in one of the competition's that we did in 2017. I want to say at the Washington State, so he's a super cool,
dude. I'm excited to be doing business with Even as protein, super tasty proteins, mint chocolate to Quito brick, and it tastes a lot like the Andes Candies. I think remember having those? Yeah, I think the anti and he's a little, and he's, and it's little rectangular mints. Yeah, which I like, I like the mint chocolate. My favorite ice cream is mint, chocolate. So, it works works well, but those are dropping on the 11th this Sunday at 12 noon Central keto break.com.
Definitely go there and get you. Some We don't have a whole lot of them. We kind of did a small launch. This one does use erythritol, which we don't have in any of the other brick flavors. But mint has that cooling sensation. So, the erythritol actually kind of worked pretty well with that. We're not planning on making more flavors with erythro. Tom Waits, any extra erythritol today just it. Yeah.
And just has it in the protein. The main ingredients are still Stevia in the protein for sweetener but there is a little bit of Rift also, full disclosure there, what else baby? We have several other new flavors in the pipeline, but we're not going to talk about those yet to, we're going to the suspense build, those all, be 2023, let's talk about apparel. What is your thoughts been about the apparel? I'm really excited about it. I'm excited about this next year.
I think what we've done so far is really great, but I think we have stuff like even better stuff planned for 2023. I'm excited for the word to spread because right now, you know, it's like a startup company. Like it's just like a brand-new baby and it We have some people who have been really loyal to us who have supported that new Endeavor there, but I'm excited for it to, to grow. I'm excited for it to grow. Hopefully, and be able to provide people with just awesome, you know, u.s. made
apparel. I think, I think that could be a really cool thing. I think that we could have a lot of really cool things and just designed and all of that. That that that people would really what is that word? Goodbye. Yeah, I guess I guess that's a simple way saying yeah it's kinda hard to do podcast when you got a baby on your hip as well. Huh. Yeah a little bit little distracting. Yeah. No I think I'm super excited about it as well.
I think it's awesome. That Bryson can I have that can have that run with him and then I was just finally designs new suppliers, make new designs and then just keep adding new skews with the apparel plus. It's just cool to see me everything in my closet. Now is stuff that we've printed, which I think is Is pretty cool. I'm wearing something right now. You're wearing some literally rank, my entire outfit is our
stuff. Yeah. Like I like that. I like being totally self-sufficient down to the clothes that we wear, which I think is pretty awesome. What about we get some business stuff with regard to live savage?
We can talk about that. Yeah, so I think we've probably tease that a little bit on prior podcast that we've done together and we've known for a while where we want to take that, but I feel like it's actually going to start taking shape going into 2023. So, When I lost my Kido, Savage account like three times in the past.
We made a separate backup account that was called live savage on Instagram on Instagram that we have not really put a ton of content and I put like some introductory Post in the last post is probably from last year something, so not very up to date at all but we're going to make now that I have keto Savage back. We're going to make that the family oriented lifestyle, type content, creation base.
So our parenting strategies You know, some rigel information rather than inundating the keto Savage. Lady Savage, Instagram accounts with pictures of rigel, put that on live. Savage will talk about stuff. That is totally relevant in sync with our life, but not necessarily Fitness specific. So like, you know, hunting backpacking processing our own food, having a garden stuff like that. Raising animals, livestock
chickens, cows stuff like that. They'll all be on live, savage, Instagram. And then we're building out a website for live savage as well, but we haven't really put content. Either. But I think that will be good because as you do more and more for rigel and like raising him and teaching him schooling him and whatnot, that'll be just a really good place for us to dump all that content, so it'd be good.
Yeah, yep. Well they also change the Facebook to live savage but it will be a little bit of everything he do, workouts, all that kind of stuff and then we both have our our private Facebook group. Such as well and then YouTube's already list Savage. Yeah, you to sort of the Savage and which then you go in YouTube and do a deep dive into, like organizing it, like having separate playlists, like a playlist for the body building stuff, a playlist for nutrition stuff at playlist for the
parenting and lifestyle stuff. Just have separate playlist that keeps everything organized. Yeah, that'd be good. What's it been like trying to juggle the business tasks while also being a new mom, Really hard feel like you're on the podcast right now as a representation of that. Yeah. If only you guys could see us it
has been a really hard. I think honestly in the beginning it was a lot easier because he would just sleep and he was quiet and he didn't do a whole lot, like, you know, who's just a little tiny baby. But now that he's six months, it's like I can't do a, can't do a call with him. I have to, you know, have someone watch him?
Him and trying to schedule Robert to watch him while I'm doing a, you know, call client call or whatever has been a little bit harder because Roberts also extremely busy. So, just kind of scheduling things out a little bit, a little bit harder. It's harder. But also, because he doesn't nap as long. He it's, you know, you never know how long I would not be going to take. You can take a three-hour nap or it could be 30 minutes. He could take one nap a day.
He could take four. It's just like whatever he does. I let him like lead with what his body wants and what he desires when it comes to hunger and sleep and all that kind of stuff. So, it has been, it's been interesting Dynamic. I'm a very schedule oriented person and when you have a baby, there is no schedule, and so, it's just hard to juggle it all. I think figuring out my workouts
was one of the hardest things. For me, I was really stressed out about not being able to figure out a good time for my, my workouts and stuff, but we ended up figuring it out well. Now, what we're going to together again, which is pretty cool. Yeah, three days a week. We work out together which is really awesome. I like, that has helped me so much.
Yeah, just like old times babe. Yeah, I was actually talking to Chris on the drive in the Fayetteville today and he was asking me is like so now that you have a kid, do you ever like get frustrated with Crystal? For being so distracted, with work stuff that you start slacking and like a you ever try to like encourage her to have more intensity and everything towards business stuff and like where he's coming from he just finally starting to make some momentum his business.
So he's just all thinking business business business and I'm like a kid would you coming from their broom? But honestly crystals area of expertise is more so and raisin Rye Angel so that I can go and focus on the business because if you weren't doing what you were doing and you were trying to be more double down on business stuff than I do. Have to pick up more slack with Ryan, Joe. And then I wouldn't be able to focus on the stuff.
So it's kind of just a matter of letting each other strength shine where they better suited. Yeah. And it's hard to because, like, a lot of people will take their kids to daycare and there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not something that we wanted to do.
Like, we chose this lifestyle and we chose to have her own business, and we chose to wait a little bit longer to have a baby because we wanted to set ourselves up for success with being able to have And you know, with me most of the time and rather than with daycare or a babysitter or whatever and I'm so grateful that we chose that it does come with extra challenges but I would not have it any other way.
Yeah. And have you thought of any after having him via the emergency C-section everything and not been able to train with the degree of intensity that you were previously. Have you had any struggles? With your own self image, you know, six seven months, post postpartum. Yeah, I haven't talked about that. Like, at all. I don't really feel like even on my social profiles and stuff, I just, I guess I'm still trying to navigate it, but I'll just kind of tell you guys where I've been mostly.
I've just been, I've struggled a lot because my body's always been the same. Am I there was one point where I was a little bit heavier but it wasn't my body changed your body changes when you have a baby you know like it changes in stretches and does all the things so well but it's still a change. It's still hard to adjust. I I didn't actually get very many stretch marks. I didn't have any stretch marks until I think I was like 14 IR 39. Weeks pregnant. Oil or stuff in there too, right?
Yeah. That make a difference. You think? I don't know. I think probably but I'm not really sure I never scratched my belly. I know a lot of women scratch the building that can also make it worse, but I went to 42 weeks pregnant, and and I just started getting stretch marks at 39. So I really only have a couple, so those actually don't bother me. They're already super light, I can hardly see them so that's really nice.
But I lost a lot of the weight really quickly but the last 10 pounds I keep going from like 5 to 10 pounds more than what I was before I had him. And I'm okay with that it's just a different way that it's sitting on me and it's it's really hard like you just I don't want my old body back, but I do say, I do think that it has been a little bit of a struggle to love it. All, you know, I can love stretch marks, I can love, you know, things.
And I honestly, I think a lot of it is because I have, I don't even know what to how to explain that, like, where my stomach is just not tight as it used to be. And honestly, most of the time, I think I'm like, flexing it, I don't know. We're holding. What's it called? Diastasis or something? Yeah, I don't really it didn't really get that. Yeah, but they did cut my abs
open. So there's that aspect of things to where it's like, you have to learn to reuse those and you have to strengthen your pelvic floor and all those things. And I am not like the typical every time I cough or sneeze or do anything, I'm peeing at, that's not an issue for me. But I do have like a Lower belly, like Pooch. I guess I would call it. It's not really a whole lot of fat, it's just like everything's just not, were goes belongs. It's I don't know how to explain it.
So it's hard because it's like, all right, I had him like six, almost seven months ago and I'm ready for that to go away. So I've been, like, working on like, really deep core stuff, instead of, you know, trying to do ab exercises because that's not going to get me anywhere. So, really just trying to build
build my body. Back up, I mean I took really good care of it when I was pregnant and I feel like I lost a lot of weight really quickly and not because I was trying to just I was breastfeeding and eating well, so it was pretty kind of fell off. But now it's just just a little it's just hard. I don't know and I just don't have as much time to get ready and half the time I'm home. So it's like, do I get ready? Do I not get ready? I don't really wear a lot of makeup in the first place, so,
So, I don't know. So there's a whole lot of different things that go with it and trying to figure out what's gonna make me feel better. Because sometimes it's not, sometimes is not getting ready for the day. Sometimes, it's not dying your hair, sometimes it's not losing the weight, and it's got to be something specific for you as an individual. Like, what's going to work best for you? You feel like anybody else's put like, external pressures on you to look a certain way or social
media at large? No, I Pretty repulsed by the people who are like, I'm 3 months postpartum and I am already where I was before, I had a baby. And look at me now, like really bothers me because I think it's moat for for most women. That's not the way that it is, and it can be really hard to want to compare yourself to that person, but you don't know what they look like when they're off
of social media. I mean, even when I'm on there, I'm flexed, you can't see what My stomach looks like relaxed. You can't, you're not in my living room when I'm done eating five cookies, you know, keto cookies of course. You know, you you aren't seeing the every single day, natural movement of people. And I think it's important to remember that your body is so much, your body does so much. I grew a human and I feed him every single meal, other than
like the one meal a day. He gets with regular food but you know, I've grown his body and I just had to remember that that like in itself is a miracle. Like that's a beautiful thing and it's kind of crazy to stop and think about it like up until here. Recently, is all of his nutritions come from your breast milk. Yeah. And he's growing like a weed. Yeah. And he's got some pretty yoked shoulders.
Yeah, that's pretty well. Yeah so I just it's hard because you want to be able to give yourself Grace but also push yourself. You don't want to stay stagnant in the oh I just had a baby. So Okay that I'm you know, not really taking care of myself as much, you know, whatever they will come off later but you also don't want to be like I need to
lose the weight. Now I need to do this, I need to do that so I was just really trying to let my let me do it a little bit more naturally and if I can tighten up on food or make better choices, I do try to do that while also just trying to enjoy life and be a mom and do all the things that moms do. You are significantly more patient than I am? May I just get injured a couple days ago and it's haven't, I
wouldn't even do squats today. So it's been like a few days and I can't imagine going weeks, and months and not feeling like I'm right back where I was making progress. Like, like you've had to do so it's been hard. Yeah, I mean, a lot, anyone who's injured?
Honestly, we go through that. My healing was a lot different than I thought it was going to be because I didn't expect to have a C-section but that was hard and, you know, just In general, I wasn't lifting as heavy during pregnancy there so you did hit some pretty good list here they though. I mean you get just this past week, you hit to what was it on deadlifts 255, 245, 245 245 on deadlifts?
I'm still at 135 on squads, which is really annoying to me because I've squatted one or two 55 first or 265. Yeah, on squats. And what did you get on? What else we do? That was pretty much it, right? I'm pretty sure you did. You did 155 on bench? Yep. Go ahead. Another 10 on your side, you got 135 and it was easy to like two or three times. We put in our Italian son. I got 155 for one or two for bench or squats bench, huh?
Some been doing well and I'm squatting Maybe the other way around you didn't want to develop was. I think it was squats. Yeah. 135 on bench 155 on squads? Yeah, it's just interesting because you do use your core and everything for all of that, it's just building it back up. What did she call it? My friend Taylor said because I was like my postpartum PRS. What do you call that? She called it.
Something really cute triple P or no it was like Oh, how I can't remember what it is, but it's a really cute way of saying it postpartum PR. Yeah, not think it's. I think it's impressive. I think it's just cool to see you back in the gym after baby vest after baby best. I think that's a cute way of saying it because that's, you know, after your baby, that's your best. Yeah, he's pretty cute right now. We should have had his own video, he's like, sticking his
tongue out again. Trying to grab the microphone, pulling the cord. What about going into 23 2023? We've talked about I've got an idea of what I want to 2023 Manifesto to be but I'm not going to review that just yet, obviously, but I'm excited about the Manifest over 20 23 has going to be on the apparel for sure and just a massive part of the whole business ventures but what are some things that we're excited about? As far as 23 goes independent of
rigel and the new brick flavors. I think I think honestly just like getting a grip on things like this year was kind of like a little bit crazy because this is the year that all the conference's started going back. So we were doing a ton of traveling and then we did have rigel and we you know, it's just like all of the scheduling and all that. It's been kind of crazy. So I'm excited for like okay we've already done it once now. We know the drill. Let's do it. You know, and throw a
competition into the mix though. I know that's going to be a little bit chaotic. Eric. Yeah, competing again next year and we're going to do two shows for sure, likely more all within the fall time frame. Well, because we, he means him. I am not doing a show, obviously, but you're doing a lot of the prep work for me, you like, prepping the meal. So I mean, you're equally as involved for sure, so you'll be doing a lot of help there. Get shows in october-november potentially as early as
September, but potentially. And then we Get this course. Launch them work on this course. I'd like to get it launched before the prep if at all possible but that's up in the air as well. That's been like the big Focus as of late so that's exciting. Super excited about them. Yeah I feel like next year just going to be a really good year,
I don't know. I just have a good feeling about it. It is going to be a little bit chaotic still because we're going to have a little guy who's like, moving around doing all the things. And so I'm going to have to figure out, you know, how to adjust. I work and all that, but I do, I just have a good feeling about this next year. It's like, I feel like we have such a solid base, we've gone
back to the conference's. We have a really, really good crew and it just feels like we can go into this next year being super solid. I think it'll be a year that we are anxious about but excited about and it's a put it's pushing us for sure but all in a good way, I feel like we've the past several years like the business is almost been in
existence for five years. The brick aspect of it as key decided to been in existence for longer, but I feel like each year, we've had something pretty pretty substantial shape the way we do things and our life in general. So I feel like Nick is going to be This is just a significant if not more. So yeah, I'm excited about it. What else, what else I got any drunk.
Yeah, Barbra got any truck, which was something I'd been hesitating to do for quite some time and driving the same truck since I was a junior in high school beat up Dodge Ram. 2004 model with vinyl floors and manual windows and standard transmission. That things pretty much crap that on me for all intents and purposes. Yeah, it definitely needed to happen. It's, it was long overdue. I think everyone who knows you and knows what the truck even driving.
They're like, wow, it's been. It's about time. Like it was. It's long overdue. Robert. And we can't put a car seat in that old truck. Yeah. So I had to get a truck with back seating for car seat. Yeah. And when that's reliable so we did we met with the accountant and the accountants. Like look, you're gonna have to pay twice as much in taxes. Next year, if you don't make a sizable Investments, we made an
investment in the truck. Chuck and that'll save us some attacks, but it will also allow us to pull whatever equipment. We need to pull with the homesteading Endeavors, tractors trailers, all that good stuff. And then eventually we want to take rigel and any other kids will be have give me that quarter agile on a tour of the United States. So we'll be able to eventually get a travel trailer to do that with. Yep, I think he turned up the volume somehow. Oh, oh, Know what?
Ryan, Jake turn up the volume on me, so sorry. I have him sitting on the table if you guys are wondering how that happened. Yeah, so yeah, we'll have that. And also will be able to have the Tahoe that you have my truck to take all of our crew to the conference's that have to buy a rental vehicle without having to rent a rental vehicle. Yeah, we were having to do that for like every Conference of we're going to so that was hard. Yeah, that was heading for sure.
Roger, you're totally is disastrous on this podcast. They will. What else has been big? I apologize. I feel like I'm not really on my A-game podcasting because I've got to juggle it infant as when you're juggling and infants, he's been watching him. He's in the middle of us. Skew in the volume and stuff and drooling everywhere right now. He's been pretty good though. He's freaking cute. Yeah, he is.
I absolutely love being a dad. A lot of I wouldn't scared, not scared, but I yeah, a little bit. I don't know, scares right word. I'm very much. So the type of person that likes to plan out everything and feel very certain And I'm not where I want to be with the business and just the life Endeavors and the responsibilities that I have. So I didn't know what throwing a kid. I went to the mix was going to do two things but he's only been a positive. I mean coming home every day and
seeing him. If anything, it just motivates me to work that much harder I wanted kids forever ago, but Robert made me. Wait, now we agreed to wait and I am really glad that we did wait because everything was Was kind of set up for Success although there's still challenges everything was set up for success.
I am kind of curious how this year's going to go good with conferences though because last year they like this last year he was so little I could just like put them in a carrier or carry them around or whatever and he would do totally fine. But this next year, he's going to be like, probably walking or like running around or whatever. So there's that, I don't even
somebody maybe listen to this. We need to hire somebody that's like a freaking wizard with social media that doubles as like a really good nanny that can just come with us to all the conferences and be an extra set of hands whenever we need them with rigel, you change a diaper. You can put some social media posts out there not of the diaper changing. But well, that's the thing is like I honestly I don't know. Like I just don't know that it's fair to him.
To make him be be quiet and yeah, bonked your head, he bumped his head on my headphones but, you know for him to have to be at a conference and be quiet or the people who are putting on the conference. Maybe they don't want kids there or you know, whatever. But it's hard because we have our entire crew there and we have Robert speaking at most of them it's like, how am I not going to be there? I think I'm scheduled to speak at like 5:00 or so. So next year already, at least 5 Min.
Yeah. We're going to several have boosted. Several is going to be crazy here. We're literally going traveling art. We put a we have a big, massive wall calendar and we put 2023 on the calendar. It's already all filled up. It's so filled up on my gosh, which is kind of wild. And I like that our life is like that, but same time I like being able to just relax the house.
Every once in a while and work on driving Tico's for the fence and makes it really hard to have animals and do all the things at the house, if you're constantly leaving Was he laughing? He's all about grabbing that microphone. Yeah which is why I don't know. It's hard because part of me is like maybe I want to stay home a little bit more and not go to all the conferences and not do all the traveling because it's going to be hard to travel with him.
But also because I do want animals, that's something that I've always desired to be dunzo. Let's see if but I do want to have All that stuff like that, something that I've always desired and I don't want to keep pushing it off because every year, we have conferences because we will always have conferences, we will always be going somewhere, you will, you know, be competing on and off and all that kind of stuff.
So yeah, I do think next year is going to be one of the more crazier years with the competition. I don't computer here. So right, yeah, it is going to be, but we've also got my parents leaving out of town to go sail around the world, and we're going to watch there for dogs. Yeah. So we're gonna have four dogs. Eggs a baby competitions and conferences. Yeah, it's gonna be so chaotic but it'll be really good. Yeah, it'll be wild for sure. Yeah. But better busy than board.
I always say I suppose. So we so I am recording this podcast on Monday on Wednesday. I'm headed down to the farm and I'm going to be spending the week down there with The crew. The crew being Danny Vega Mike Muscle, Brandon Scott dr. Anthony J. Bill Schindler, his son, Billy. Who else? And then I think, Mike's bringing his daughter now, too. So there's gonna be eight of us total, which is gonna be awesome. Going to go deer hunting. We're going to go hog hunting.
When you go fishing, we go duck hunting. We're going to have a campfire going to grill, some steaks when it shoots guns, we can blow, some things up. We're going to ride around on Sam. Besides we're going to do all kinds of cool stuff that I feel like a lot of those guys don't get the chance to do on a regular basis, especially Danny. Yeah, that's true. We were, is like a group text going with all of us.
And I was bested them and I'm saying what we're going to bring for groceries and I'm like hopefully we get a deer down soon so we can throw some back straps and tenderloins on the grill and Danny message back he's like no idea what a back strap is but I'm excited to eat it and Brandon just messing with them said their dear testicles Danny. I've been he's like awesome works for the liver King.
Oh my gosh, it's pretty fun. Okay, if anyone's listening Back straps are not tests are not yeah but it is one of the most delicious parts of animal so there's yeah, it was pretty hilarious, but I think this is good.
Like honestly, I don't think that we're going to film very much if at all, which is very counter to what all this group typically does but that's the beauty of it, I feel like I've been able to escape to a form where it's several thousand acres of nothing but pristine Wilderness. And you just get out there away from social media away from emails away from everything because there's no cell service you Simply are at peace with the wild. Like there is therapy in that. So yeah, for sure.
I'm excited. I'd only do a trip like this once a year. So this would be this would be good. I don't love Robert leaving us. It makes me sad and I don't like it but I'll be back. I'll be back by the time. This gets goes live. It'll be good, it'll be good. Hopefully I come back with a whole bunch of food. Doing put the freezer that's always a plus we've done. We've been doing pretty good about saving money by using the venison. Like we crunch the numbers or the day.
What was the So if I kill for deer this year, plus the cow that we had that we butchered and then the elk that we were given, I mean, we haven't, we haven't bought meat in quite some time. Yeah, I only if I buy anything, it's just bacon or chicken. Yeah. And I'm really the only one that eats bigger, chicken.
Yeah. Let's just forget about it and I feel like most of the people listening to this podcast and my audience, in general is totally on board, with hunting, they understand the benefits to it. From a nutritional standpoint but also from an environmental standpoint. I don't really get a lot of flack for being open about hunting, which is good because I feel like there's a lot of people out there that do get a lot of flak for that.
Yeah, what else babe, I don't ride was kind of the dictator of how long this podcast will ask. Is he going to be good or see kind of over it? I'm half and half, half and half. All right. Was anything else that we want to cover? Again, this is kind of like a spur-of-the-moment impromptu Podcast recording ketchup. Do you have any like, big goals for next year? Well, obviously you're going to compete and stuff, but competition launched.
So many were saying things for the business, there's a lot. There's a lot of things, I think, okay. I don't really have any goals for next year, which sounds pathetic a little bit, but I think mine is just good to have like Consistency. Like, if you have so many things going on, like it causes craziness for all of us. So, if I'm just keeping things consistent, then just be solid base. Yeah, solid base. Yeah, solid base. All right, Rogers over at yum.
So, we are going to, we're going to call that. This is going to be the end of the podcast will do. Another one will definitely want some time. I've Ellen watch. Roger something will have a non-destructive Sorry. I thought I was going to feed him and he was going to fall asleep, and that did not happen. Yeah, so apologize for shorter episode, but good to catch up with y'all. Just the same. So for anybody, that doesn't know where to get in touch with you. Babe, where's that lady?
Savage on sorry the dot lady dot Savage on Instagram or you can go to lady savage.com or lady Savage, Facebook group and you're taking on new clients right now. I am taking on new clients right now. And yeah that's it. And then we'll have live savage up and running here in the near future. Yeah. Are you going to start checking the diems on that? I definitely can.
Okay, so anybody listening to this DM live, savage on Instagram, with some homesteading, parenting lifestyle ideas, and questions that you want us to start incorporating into the live savage brand, because that's what we were going to start doing. Yeah, that's a good idea. That way we can start making Reels and posts, and things like that, more in-depth, for the things that people are actually wanting to hear and see and listen to, yeah, it's gonna be good.
All right. Well, until next time, love you babe. Thank you opportunity and we will talk to you soon. See ya.
