      Intro / Opening

How can a non-musician discuss the future of music from anything other than a consumer point of view?

      Sats and Sounds

These people make decisions for the bulk of us without consulting any of us Sales and distributions of our futures If this world were fair and right, they'd give up the car keys this very night Hello, it's Sats and Sounds, episode number 95 For May 26th, 2025, it is Memorial Day in the United States when we reflect on the lives lost in order to keep this country free And otherwise known as the official start to summer

Some freshly rendered bits from a band called Hollow Sky and this one is called To Die For

      To Die For

Slow down and tell me what you think about that you can't tell me You know it's not healthy to keep it in, try it out It's not a diet, it's a given that you're gonna feel free, I need help me, let's begin First step, let's open it up and tell me what you really think, did you really think what that diamond ring can pinpoint Come on, would you stop giving a fuck, trying to show you that I love you but it's never right Give me something to live for, play for, die for

I've been thinking of you and I and I've decided I am drowning slowly in thoughts of death and I don't get it You want the fucking cucko race, but didn't you hear me, I guess you had the last laugh, he is the first ass, isn't he?

Lend me, I'll show you what a nightmare is, and what a fucking mess, and forgot the closure, now I start to mold her for how she left me all alone I'm abandoned, God damn it, I can't stand it, oh I've been thinking of you and I and I've decided I am drowning slowly in thoughts of death and I don't get it I've been thinking it's dark to see the pain inside, behind Give me something to live for, play for, die for Please don't make me die I regret that I let you go today

      Nothing at All

The truth is not too good for me anyway The rest is history, what will happen you will see Before you let I once cry If I kept my sweetest deal where you're a smile, the emptiness is my living hell, I'd still see you around, when I smile I still hear the sound It was nothing at all, but I'm tempted by life, oh Lord Picked up the pieces and tried a new start, self-hating me and his guarded arm

When I left, he didn't say goodbye to me, wasn't strange, I was tied up and left, but I still wear your smile The emptiness is my living hell, I'd still see you around, when I smile I still hear the sound It was nothing at all, but I'm tempted by life, oh Lord It was nothing at all, but I'm tempted by life, oh Lord It was nothing at all, but I'm tempted by life, oh Lord It was nothing at all, but I'm tempted by life, oh Lord It was nothing at all, but I'm tempted by life, oh Lord

I believed everything you told me, and I was all to you all this time

      Just Lies

It was great, it was me, and I would know everything, I was not such a kind You were there every night in my side, listening to everything that came from my head And all your words, all your thoughts, to a single, I would stick with what's next in my bag And everything you told me was lies, lies, lies, and now I can't believe my own eyes I cry and every day I'm just a walking line of slides, and every time I do this to my heart, it dies, it dies

You keep me warm, keep me sane, be with me all my life, listen to all my cries 'Cause every night, every fight, every time we were saved, every look deep in my eyes Think of me, think of you, we were once every now, one last kiss tonight And all this time I was blind, I still cried, but I don't know if I'll ever get to this Love, shot, kiss, miss, fear, stand And everything you told me was lies, lies, lies, and now I can't believe my own eyes

I cry and every day I'm just a walking line of slides, and every time I do this to my heart, it dies, it dies And I believed everything you told me, and I was always here to draw this time It was great, it was faint, I would know everything, I was at such a rhyme You were there every night at my side, listening to everything that came from my head And all your words, all your thoughts, do the same, well I would sting, 'cause I sit in my bag Love, shot, kiss, miss, fear, stand

And everything you told me was lies, lies, lies, and now I can't believe my own eyes I cry and every day I'm just a walking line of slides, and every time I do this to my heart, it dies, it dies So what do you think? Sounds like a GarageBand, no? Has that GarageBand kind of energy. On this Memorial Day, I got some pictures from my grandkids. They were over in the Netherlands.

      Sats and Sounds

My son-in-law works for the State Department. And they were out there planting flags on the grave sites of the soldiers out there in the Netherlands. It just kind of dawned on me that they're getting a better education about Memorial Day than I ever received in the Chicago Public School System. But it was kind of a sobering sight, you see these little children carrying all these flags. I mean, it was like a lot of flags and a lot of grave sites out there.

And they were just in there doing their thing for the embassy out there in The Hague. This is a Value for Value music podcast. I'm also on episode number 95, running count up to 100. Will I make it to 100? I don't know. But you need a Modern Podcast app to participate. Go to modernpodcastapps.com or go to my website, satsandsounds.com, where I have links to Castamatic, Fountain Podcast, Guru, Podverse, Curio, Castor, Podfriend, and TrueFans.

And you get one of these Modern Podcast apps. You can load up the wallet with some satoshis. You need to learn what satoshis are. And what you do is, while you're listening, you stream Bitcoin micro payments, satoshis or sats, to the artists as the song plays. And when each song changes, when the track changes, the wallet changes, so your sats go to the artist. And on this show, 95% of everything that you send in goes to the artist.

So get yourself a Modern Podcast app and participate in this brand new, well, it's almost two years now, brand new medium of Value for Value music. You can also do something called sending a boost. That's where you send a few extra sats. You hit the boost button in the app. Or you send a boost to Gramm. That's where you send extra sats along with a message. And from the last week, we got some boost to Gramm's.

Some boosts, 777 sats from Gagglepot, which I had to look that up. It's Kyle Bondo of Floan Hour fame, another music podcast by TrueFans. And I asked him a question on TrueFans, but he didn't answer me, so I'm not sure. Because TrueFans did not send the information over on my helipad about what song that you were listening to at the time. But I think it was during the whip by Fable. And he says, "Well, I love the vibe of this song. Heard it on Sats and Sounds.

Got 100 sats from the NMNU New Music Nudge unit by Mountain during 'A Thousand Kisses' by the 54 Plates. They say thanks for playing our newest band in the Valueverse. 'A Thousand Kisses' by the 54 Plates is their first track in the Valueverse. Fun fact, Nathan Abbott plays guitar in this band too." Didn't know that until I copy and pasted that on over. So I was yammering on too long and I've run out of music on this break. So we are continuing on with "Let 'Em Riot" and "Something Real."

      Something Real

      [Music]

Getting tired all the time Passion never lasts, I tell myself I've got nowhere else to be Keep me becoming someone else There's a sign above the window Out of business, everything must go You could be my something real You could be my something real You could be my something real You could be my something real Just save me Yeah, won't you just save me The way you look so absolute And when you call my name so meaningful Leave it all behind with you Enjoy the comfort in the ritual

I could keep searching for a reason But I fear I'm just wasting time You could be my something real You could be my something real You could be my something real You could be my something real Just save me Yeah, won't you just save me [Music] Just save me Yeah, won't you just save me Just save me Yeah, won't you just save me

      Maze

      [Music]

Wake me up, I don't want to sleep anymore Velvet lungs, pins my tongue, gold soil You don't see me like you used to All these drugs I've made will see through All my doubts and imperfections should've carried on my chest But I'm comfortable being numb with you anyway Maybe I'm lost in a maze of time Watching the years go by Knowing I'll never be allowed to change your mind I don't know how to control myself I'm getting older, hell I can't find myself alone inside my mind

I can't sleep, counting sheep for days Liquid sway, lips afraid of time She was a girl who cried confession Chased her twice, then learned to miss you Wild child with a silver tongue Carried her heart like she carried a gun But I'm comfortable being numb with you anyway Maybe I'm lost in a maze of time Watching the years go by Knowing I'll never be allowed to change your mind I don't know how to control myself I'm getting older, hell I can't find myself alone inside my mind

I don't know how to control myself I can't show you I can't show you I can't see you Even times could be Losing my mind, I can't Even times could be Losing my mind, what then I'm uncomfortable losing my mind again I'm uncomfortable losing my mind Maybe I'm lost in a maze of time Watching the years go by Knowing I'll never be enough to change your mind I don't know how to control myself I'm getting older, hell I can't find myself alone

      Paper Scissors Stone

If you're still listening out there, Salty, he's got a podcast called Upbeats and I added you guys to my pod roll. So just for your information, here's Jawbone and Paper Scissors Stone.

Paper Scissors Stone I find myself here alone again It was never a game to me But you were playing the best of three I tried to keep the score You always got a whole lot more I never quite worked it out But I always had my doubts It's just a game to you You're a saint climbing up that ladder There's a name for you You're never there when it really matters You never ever lost the part 'Cause I'll always lose my heart My heart Nights across this tic-tac-toe You always win no matter where you go

It was different when we were young Now you've found another way to have your fun I knew you cheated when we were kids But now it's harder to forgive You choose to live your life Just by rolling dice It's just a game to you You're a snake climbing up that ladder There's a name for you You're never there when it really matters You never ever lost the part I'll always lose my heart My heart [Instrumental] I stand up to walk away I throw my cards down and say I can't play this game alone

So won't you come back home I tried to give and take And bear the rules before they break Now I know that you can't leave 'Cause God is up my sleeve It's just a game to you You're a snake climbing up that ladder There's a name for you You're never there when it really matters You never ever lost the part It's just a game to you You're a snake climbing up that ladder There's a name for you You're never there when it really matters You never ever lost the part I'll always lose my heart My heart

So when I was talking about pod rolls In the modern podcast apps There's something, if they enable the feature There's something called a pod roll And you can add other podcasts that you listen to

      Sats and Sounds

Or podcasts that you recommend So I don't know why I didn't do it before I put in my other lame podcasts in there Into this one So just this week I changed it So I put in there four different music podcasts Upbeats by Salty Crayon Lightning Thrashes by Sir Libre Mountain Music Happy Hour by Randy Black And Flonar from Kyle Bondo Which I read about his boost earlier So if you're in one of those apps You can just click on the pod roll thing And you can find their podcasts very easily

Getting back to the boosts I got 2000sats from Rock and Roll Break Heart Via Podverse with NoNote And then another 2000sats from Rock and Roll Break Heart Via Podverse He says "Catching up! I wear my Sats and Sounds T-shirts all the time!" Thanks dude!

And as I drive across the country And I drive multi-state at least three times a year I've got the stickers from Rock and Roll Break Heart And I stick those up in the most random places So hopefully you're getting some listens from those Got another 333sats from NMNU Which is a new music nudge unit via Fountain They say "Big up to Kevin Bay for playing Fable's song 'The Whip' Thanks to shows like yours, new talented bands can get global discovery A band from Essex and Manchester

Getting played on a show across the Atlantic Without a Spotify or record company interfering is the future New artists need to see this, this is the way Who wants to see Fable play live? Let's see it!

Go to Podcastindex.org, hit up their big red donate button Help them out because everybody who's contributing at that project Makes all of this possible You can also go to my website satsandsounds.com And hit up my big donate button, my big red donate button And contribute to this show to keep it going I'll see you guys next time, bye! Moving forward we've got freshly rendered bits

      Berliner Luft

From Ivy Loomy and Berliner Luft Hope I pronounced that correctly They say I'm lost, I'm barely walking Don't know where I am or where I'm going It's so strange, the air flows like nowhere else And it's never enough for fun After sunset before sunrise This is your life This is your life I'm afraid This is your life I'm afraid This is your life, I'm barely visiting Have you ever held onto my story? Would you agree?

The air runs like nowhere else I can't even tell anymore If you taste like a minty brass wand A bittersweet A bittersweet Please share How rewarding, how real I get to meet the devil himself This is your life A bittersweet Please share, this is your life A bittersweet Please share This is your life This is your life This is your life

      You

This next artist, if this is your real name, it's a very unique name Kavi Anointen Never, I mean that's such a weird combination I shouldn't say that, it's your name And it's your song "You" Yeah, yeah Which kind of life I've never seen before Which kind of love I've never felt before I stand high, don't wanna see me fall Deep in love it's like a trip to gold You're high in my mind, I cannot let you go Love is blindly the way I go Be so smart, no good to be alone

And you defy the laws of my mind, yeah And if you are the one for me, yeah Why would you make yourself available That kind of love I go show, yeah You make me wanna laugh so much, yeah And if you are the one for me, yeah Why would you make yourself available That kind of love I go show, yeah You make me wanna laugh so much, yeah You, you You'll be the only one I've been searching for You, you Feeling sick baby, you'll be my girl You, you If I'm missing out what you'll see no more You, you

Yeah, yeah You, you You'll be the only one I've been searching for You, you Feeling sick baby, you'll be my girl You, you If I'm missing out what you'll see no more You, you Girl, tell me why You told me that you have the same feeling tonight I, oh why Now it's so far from me Can't see you, feel you, touch you, kiss you tonight But the feeling is so right for me, yeah Please Be mine That would feel alright for me, yeah If you are the one for me, yeah Why would you make yourself available

That kind of love I go show, yeah You make me wanna laugh so much, yeah Girl, I call up You make me call up Take a photo and send it to me And then you where you are And send it where you are, yeah You, you You'll be the only one I've been searching for You, you Feeling sick baby, you'll be my girl You, you If I'm missing out what you'll see no more You, you Yeah, yeah You, you Walk away, walk away, walk away I'm beating you out Walk away, walk away Getting up, start thinking about you You, you

      Oh

      Dicker, dicker Negerkuss

And now for something completely different This band is called Leader Fuzzy At least that's how I read it And the song is called Dicker Dicker Nigger Kuss And I had to look this up, it's German And I guess there was some candy Some chocolate confection called Nigger Kuss And it became sort of a racial slur Because it's "Nigger" meaning "Nigro" And I guess the rest of it was to do with the candy Go figure Many, many years ago No idea which day A weakness in me started The pleasure I was

Not noble spirit, but blue stupidity Beautiful sounds or art of love Nothing is more a pleasure to me Than a dicker Nigger Kuss Crispy baked, top with a classic pattern A waffle plate, round and fine Which is lying at the feet of the snow White foam, lovely and tender Swaying, heavy, loose to the top From crunchy, tender, melt to the top Sometimes with, sometimes without Coat, without seam, except from below Chocolate glaze in symphony Lovely foam on golden waffle Who knows you, never forget

Dicker, Dicker, Nigger Kuss Airy, light, look and pleasure Surrounded by tender chocolate I never get enough of you Dicker, Dicker, Nigger Kuss High point of tender pleasure What would be more satisfying Are many, many, Nigger Kusses Sometimes I get a desire Endless, big like space and time Can be alone, only silent With foam, sweet sensibility This airy, light treat I can hardly resist Since my childhood I can't get over it As I used to say, I say today Love full, not provocative

Nigger Kuss and Nigger Kisses There is nothing negative about it Dicker, Dicker, Nigger Kuss Airy, light, look and pleasure Surrounded by tender chocolate I never get enough of you Dicker, Dicker, Nigger Kuss High point of tender pleasure What would be more satisfying Are many, many, Nigger Kisses I totally support Nigger Kisses Whether big, small, dark or bright Is the package open for the first time I eat them quickly Dicker, Dicker, Nigger Kuss Airy, light, look and pleasure

Surrounded by tender chocolate I never get enough of you Dicker, Dicker, Nigger Kuss High point of tender pleasure What would be more satisfying Are many, many, Nigger Kisses By the way, I like... I think they're lamenting the loss of names

      Sats and Sounds

Names of products like here where we renamed the Angemima Pancake Syrup and took the Land O'Lakes lady Off the package I guess they didn't like losing the name I don't know when it happened I looked it up and I just don't remember Interesting song, very passionate about the Nigger Kuss That is Sats and Sounds for this week Once again, we are on that count up to 100 This was episode number 95 You can go to SatsAndSounds.com I have links to every single track you heard today

And you can go hit up the Shop link Where you can get yourself a Sats and Sounds t-shirt Just like Rock and Roll Brekhart Thank you for being there on the stream, everybody out there I appreciate it And I will talk to you next week Later [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
