          Intro / Opening

How can a non-musician discuss the future of music from anything other than a consumer point of view?

          Sats and Sounds

These people make decisions for the bulk of us without consulting any of us Sales and distributions of our futures If this world were fair and right, they'd give up the car keys this very night And the podcast rig has decided to crash on me right at showtime Hallelujah!

Welcome to Sats and Sounds episode number 100 The Big 100 For June 30th, 2025 And with a little announcement that unfortunately this will also be the final episode of Sats and Sounds I suppose I won't say that I'll never be back But at least for the time being, this is going to be the last regular show for a while So I'm going to do this last show by doing some favorites I've got some freshly rendered bits as well And we're just going to get into it

Starting with one of the artists that I've played early on Never disappoints

          Don't Get Me Started

We're going to go in with Longy And don't get me started [Music] Cold in the morning, cold in the evening What's the point in hanging on? Baby, I told you this shit makes me wonder What's the point in hanging on? I don't mind if you go on top Never lie, we're just how you got No!

Get me started, get me started We're going tripping on the platform now Get me started, get me started We're going tripping on the platform now [Music] Cold in the morning, cold in the evening What's the point in hanging on? Baby, I told you this shit makes me wonder What's the point in hanging on? I don't mind if you go on top Never lie, we're just how you got No!

Get me started, get me started We're going tripping on the platform now Get me started, get me started We're going tripping on the platform now [Music] Baby, I told you this shit makes me wonder What's the point in hanging on? I want you, not need you What's the point in hanging on? I don't mind if you go on top Never lie, we're just how you got No!

Get me started, get me started We're going tripping on the platform now Get me started, get me started We're going tripping on the platform now Yeah, don't get me started Don't get me started on my podcast rig

          Bad Idea Generator

I have no control over the volumes right now So everything you hear is here This is Scott O'Brien and Bad Idea Generator [Music] You're always bombing me out What is it that you need?

The world is at your fingers And still you're bleeding me Bad Idea Generator Dancing authority Bad Idea Generator Don't try to make Holy road of slick commotives Whatever fantasy Body-grubbing social senior Your rationality Bad Idea Generator Dancing authority Bad Idea Generator Don't try to make [Music] [Music] Bad Idea Generator Dancing authority Bad Idea Generator Don't try to make Bad Idea Generator Dancing authority Bad Idea Generator Don't try to make

Here's to hoping that dogs don't make too much noise

          You Should Waste It

Next up is Nate Jonavan And you should waste it [Music] You should come with a warning But try before you die [Music] Take yourself too seriously And you'll be wasting your precious time [Music] Right now is as young as you As you'll ever be You made it Right now is as young as you As you'll ever be You should waste it [Music] Voices bounce through your screen No justice, no peace But it's hard to believe Something you've never seen What can you even do from the seat on your couch?

It feels pretty good to do nothing [Music] It's your life here, time is your own Don't let them take it now [Music] I don't want to see you helping anyone else out now Right now is as young as you As you'll ever be You made it Right now is as young as you As you'll ever be You should waste it [Music] I don't want to see you helping anyone else out now [Music] It feels better to regret something you have done Than to regret something you haven't even begun

          Sats and Sounds

Those are three of my favorite tracks from doing this for the last 100 shows And as I mentioned at the top, in case you didn't catch it coming into it This is the final, 100th and final regular Sats and Sounds [Music] I don't say it's forever gone But circumstances have changed to where I won't be able to do this on a regular basis So at least for now, it's going to go on a break This is a Value for Value music podcast And you need a modern podcast to have to participate

Go to modernpodcastapps.com or go to my website, satsandsounds.com Which will stay up, I keep the website up There's no trouble at all keeping the site up So I'll keep the site up and there will be links to everything I've got links to Castamatic, Mountain Podcast, GuruPod, CurioCaster and TrueFans And using these apps, you load up a wallet and you can send streaming payments while you listen You can also send boosts or something called a boost-o-gram

That's where you send extra Sats along with a message And some boost-o-grams from the past week I got 333 Sats from Chet F via Ellen Beats He says, "One more to go" That was of course on episode 99 And then another 333 Sats from Chet F via Ellen Beats He says, "Episode 100 is next" It's no longer next, it is now 200 Sats from Beer via Podverse with no notes And then 10,000 Sats from Beer via Podverse Which is super incredible And he says, "100th episode, congratulations

Every Tuesday morning, first thing at work I tune in to Sats and Sounds Can't join live, I'm in Germany Not through podcasting 2.0 and Bitcoin Are the good part of the future, thanks a lot man And keep on going a few hundred episodes" Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry to announce that that was it Your Sats will not go to waste And then a live boost 333 Sats from TJ Dorffel of the Dorffels, I assume Congrats on 100 episodes, thank you very much Now with all the Sats that have come in

Over the last year and a half I haven't spent any of them Other than really boosting other shows Or streaming to other shows I'm going to go through it and collect them all See what I've got And then I'll probably donate those to Podcast Index So get ready for that If you listen to Podcasting 2.0 podcast That'll be coming up at some point Once I figure out exactly what I've got So we're going to move on to some freshly rendered bits These are some songs that were posted in the last week

And we're starting off with Patrick Mannion "Never attained anything"

          Never Attained Anything

"Never attained anything" "Just a body and some soggy old brains" "And life so full of wonder" "When you're always starting over" "Never achieved anything" "Not an accolade to my old name" "I bought popcorn and a soda" "On my way to Minnesota" "When you're always starting over" "The world is flat" "On my way to Minnesota" "I stopped for some candles" "And I'll stand on the stairs" "One day we'll go home" "But until then I'll eat my lunch" "Oh, oh, oh" "Never believed anything"

"Just some thoughts in the soggy old brain" "And life so full of wonder" "When there's nothing to discover" "When you're always starting over" "The world is flat" "On my way to Minnesota" "I stopped for some girls" "And I still cost you" "One day we'll go home" "But until then I'll eat my lunch" "Oh, oh, oh" "Never seemed anything" "Just wondering why I'm so big" "Even ants can't get to know ya" "When you turn down your motor" "Never played anything" "Just didn't touch a darn old thing"

"No perfect sweep it under" "The whole planet is for murder" "When you're always starting over" "The world is flat" "The world is flat" "On my way to Minnesota" "I stopped for some girls" "And I still cost you" "One day we'll go home" "But until then I'll take you home" "With you"

          I Need Your Love

Next up, new song from Two Weeks in Nashville. It's called "I Need Your Love".

"Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "What's it far to do around you?" "To tell the truth" "I want you" "I want you" "I turn the page, but I lose my clown" "I call your name 'cause it won't fade out" "I feel the same, but I won't back down" "I call your name 'cause it won't fade out again" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love" "Wherever you lie, I see stars in your eyes" "Whatever right do I see me in you?" "Whatever the weather, I'll be by your side"

"Through thick and thin, to wear them back again" "What do I have to do?" "To get through" "I turn the page, but I lose my clown" "I call your name 'cause it won't fade out" "I feel the same, but I won't back down" "I call your name 'cause it won't fade out again" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love again" "I need your love again" "I need your love" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love" "I turn the page, but I lose my clown" "I call your name 'cause it won't fade out"

"I feel the same, but I won't back down" "I call your name 'cause it won't fade out again" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love again" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love again"

          Oh My

"You will won't be broken" "You're on the way up" "They said you were gone, but you ain't had enough" "Of feeling and seeing you again" "Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love again" "Oh, oh, oh" "Of feeling and seeing you dance into your own soul" "Oh, oh, oh" "The truth is you're here and you'll never be gone" "They said it was over, but boy, they were wrong" "Your eyes light the street like free birds in the sky" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh"

"Oh, oh, oh" "I need your love again" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "When nights seem like days and the days seem like nights" "Days and nights confused corridors and bright lights" "As the day goes it'll all be alright, oh my" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh"

"Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" "Oh, oh, oh" So I'd like to thank a whole bunch of people. It's not like I know anybody here but in particular like the artists that put out songs that allow somebody like me

          Sats and Sounds

to be able to play them, you know, obviously there's a license but it's pseudo-license free where as long as I put in their value block into my podcast and when people send sats they get 95% of whatever's, you know, whatever's sent on this show while it's playing, they get it. So to every artist that has put out songs, thank you for doing that and allowing some dude in North Georgia

to put on a little show every week for half an hour. Also for Adam Curry and Dave Jones, PodcastIndex.org for creating this whole project, Stephen Bell who created the tools that I use, Sovereign Beats, the Split Kit, Ellen Beats, Music Side Project and then the other guys who have music shows as well, Salty Graham with Up Beats, Randy Black with Mountain Music Happy Hour, Sir Libre with Lightning Thrash as he's coming up on 100 as well, Kyle Bondo with Flonar, Mike Newman, It's a Mood, and

some of the biggest supporters I've had over the last couple of years, Andy Breikhart, Rock and Roll Breikhart, Chad F, Beer who boosted 10,000 sats today, my goodness thank you, Odyssey Westra, I have no idea who you guys are or girls or girls, but they've sent a lot of sats and streamed a lot of sats, Eric Pee Pee who has put together, he's responsible for Helipad right?

Like I said, I don't know everybody but I'm kind of on the inside and the outside, and John Spurlock, I think he's the one that did the OP3.dev which allows me to see people actually download the show and all the listeners that, you know, there's up to several hundred now downloads, I don't know how accurate it is or if it says a few hundred uniques, so cool.

And then all the listeners on the live stream who show up on the live stream, I really appreciate it, without somebody to talk to, I'd be talking to myself. So we're going to wrap this up with some, with the three favorites, going to start out with Let 'Em
