Jesus quice, you better hello, hit the boddy out here? What quin on out there? It's thought of a bit about text fort nine? I don't know, easy annount there, Yeah, I'm walking right head. Among the various opposed witnesses of the giant Hairy Man of the Northwest or Bigfoot, we have accounts from people
from all walks of life. There truly is a vast spectrum of sightings that range from locales and witnesses, some which are intriguing and some which are bordering on the absurd. Yet one type of report that always catches the attention are those made by the men and women of law enforcement. After all, the trained professionals usually not out looking for some strange, hairy ape man, so
when they come forward with their own accounts, people tend to listen. So here's a selection of odd encounters with police officers in which they came across something that their training and experience didn't prepare them for. A very well known bigfoot report made by a police officer that made waves in its time occurred in August of no nineteen seventy six in the rural area of Whitehall, New York.
On this day, officer Brian Goslin was driving on the outskirts of town along the lonely stretch called a bear road, when he saw a massive, hairy manlike creature with red eyes lumber out of the woods about thirty feet in front of him. Gossam would describe at a standing seven to eight feet tall and weighing at least four hundred pounds. He was so alarmed at what he was seeing he reportedly got out of his car and trained his spotlight and his firearm
on it. Yet he was unable to shoot it. The strange beast, caught in the beam of the spotlight, issued an unearthly shriek before barreling off into the trees, leaving behind giant footprints on a nearby field. Over the next few days, other officers would apparently see the creature. Even Goslin's father
and brother would see it. Goslin would eventually write his surreal experience in his twenty eighteen book A Bear Road. The true story with this wouldn't end the strangeness in Whitehall, because, in fact, feb Bewary of nineteen eighty two, another police officer in the area named Dan Gordon and his partner had their
own experience. The two had been on duty patrolling along Route twenty two, half a mile from East Bay at the base of Lake Champlain, when an eight foot eight bl like creature ran across the road and climbed right up a steep embankment to disappear into the brush. The creature was described as being a little different from a typical bigfoot. It was long and lanky, and had
narrow shoulders rather than bulging with muscles. They also reported that it slouched heavily and had extremely long, thin gangly arms, and it was remarkably fast and agile, far beyond any human's capabilities. Gordon allegedly got out of the car and tried to pursue the creature as the other officers sat frozen and terrified,
but the beast was already long gone. The two would keep their experiences to themselves for years, only going public with it in two thousand and three, after which Gordon was interviewed extensively for news stories and TV programs, including Monster Quest and Mysterious Encounters. The report also appeared in the book Bigfoot Encounters in New York and New England. Gordon was described as an incredibly honest and trustworthy man, and insisted on the veracity of what he saw right up to his
death in twenty fourteen. Although these are the reports that have perhaps been most covered in the news and discussed by cryptozoologists, there are actually many other such accounts given under oath by trained police personnel from the Bigfoot Field Researchers organizations archives.
Comes a report from nineteen seventy in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. In the spring of that year, two police officers were called out to a home in the town of Morero at approximately nine pm on a report of a prowler by the terrified homeowner. The officers arrived at the scene and questioned the female homeowner, after which they did a perimeter sweep of the area, even calling in a canine unit. As soon as the dog arrived, it apparently went absolutely
nuts. The dog became very agitated, It was cowering and was clearly scared of something. The officer circled around the darkened house with guns drawn, now convinced that there was a trespasser lurking about the property, but what they saw was beyond anything either of them had ever expected. As they rounded the edge of the house, they came upon a large, dark figure huddled against the side of the building. They could tell immediately that it wasn't a human because
of its massive size. They reported that the creature was at least eight feet tall and it was very wide. As the creature fled, it took extremely large strides towards the street, where it passed under a street light, and both could see that it was covered in dark brown hair. They got a very good look at it while it was under the light, and then it
bolted off towards a wooded marsh area near a canal and vanished. When interviewed by the BFRO investigator, the witness would say, the incident with this entity was officially reported in the record system of that jurisdiction. I remember that we did not emphasize the subject beyond describing it as very tall and dark in color, with no specific description of any clothing. Because it wasn't wearing any clothes
in those days, I had no idea what I was looking at. We told our superiors verbally what we had seen, and then it was dropped. We handled many unexplained incidents, as other police agencies do. The public just never knows about them. This is what I mentioned to you about going back seven years later and not being able to find the reports. My partner died when he was just thirty seven years old, so we never had a chance
to speak about anything again before he checked out. He was a quiet, no nonsense guy who wasn't comfortable talking about a lot of the incidents that we handled, including the unexplainable ones. Another rather intriguing account from more modern years was reported on the North American wood Ape Conservancy from an off duty police officer who had a rather strained sighting in the area of Liberty County, Texas.
He was traveling along at night on the Farm to Market Highway one thousand and eight north of Kenneflick, and he was directly behind a big rig truck when a fleeting movement from the side of the road caught his attention. He says in his report. I am a police officer. I was traveling northbound on FM one thousand and eight, and there was an eighteen wheeler truck in front of me at the time, and we were traveling approximately fifty five miles an
hour. I observed a large creature in an upright position run out of the tree line on the east side of the highway. It ran in front of the big truck in front of me. The truck braked and swerved to the east side of the road, and the creature was unharmed and cleared the road and ran into the tree line on the west side of the FM one thousand and eight. From what I could see, this creature appeared to be as tall as the cab of the eighteen wheeler, maybe eight feet, and it
was very bulky and covered in air. I estimated the speed at which it was running to be about thirty five miles an hour with extremely long strides. There are other police and fire service members in the Kenneflick area that have seen this creature, and I have personally heard numerous stories of other sightings. If I had not seen it firsthand, I would not have believed it myself.
Investigator Daryl Collier would do an in depth follow up interview in this case with the witness and uncover some further details, of which he says it was the witness's perception that this figure was very tall and covered with grayish hair. The witness was certain that the figure was a biped and moved extremely fast, perhaps thirty to thirty five miles per hour. The witness could not recall much in the way of detail. The event was estimated to have lasted only a few
short seconds. The witness was impressed by the height of the figure. Using the cab of the eighteen wheeler as a gauge, the witness estimated the subject's height to be possibly around eight feet tall. Because of the figure's speed and overall size and height, and the fact that it nearly collided with an eighteen wheeler, the witness categorically ruled out the possibility of a hoax. In retrospect, the witness wishes that he had slowed down or even stopped to get a
second or better look. He also wishes that he had flagged down the big rig and somehow got the truck driver's perspective. However, the witness told me that what he saw greatly intimidated him. At the time, he had absolutely no plans for stopping. He carried a forty five caliber semi automatic handgun with him, but the side arm gave him little to no security after witnessing such
an incident. From the following year, we have a report from the BFRO in the fall of two thousand and three from a Toronto Police officer who had a very strange encounter while off duty moose hunting near the small town of Search Mount, Ontario, Canada. In October of two thousand and three. The witness was with his brother in law and they had just finished putting out a moose bait and issuing moose calls to draw in their prey at around eight am.
One of the animals didn't make an appearance, but displayed atypical behavior as if it were spooked by something. Indeed, the large bull moose ran off in apparent fear. He called his brother and they went about seeing if they could track the animal and draw it back in. The witness sprayed some moose in heat here and around to lure the animal back, and sat down waiting for something to happen. At around one thirty that afternoon, something certainly did
happen, but this time it was no moose. The witness says. At about one thirty PM, I started hearing heavy thumps behind me every now and then. Every time I heard one, I would turn around, but there was nothing there. I should mention that all this was happening while it was raining. The sound of the rain hitting the ground of the leaves was quite loud, but these thumps were much louder. They sounded like a stone or something heavy hitting the ground. But every time I turned around, I saw
nothing. At about five twenty five PM, I got off the ATV to stretch my legs and have a smoke. I put my gun on the front back of the ATV to make sure that it was in arms reach, and I stood in front of the ATV facing the gully, which prior to this had been in the rear of me. While I was having my smoke, I started hearing the distinctive sounds of foot steps coming from the gully, snapping branches and crunching leaves. I kept my eyes on the gully while I reached
for my rifle. I thought the bull was coming back. But when I looked into the gully about forty yards straight in front of me, I saw what I thought was a man walking towards me. He was stooped over and looked like he was having trouble walking in the bush. He grabbed a tree and swung himself around, or ducked or dove under some thick brush. The total time this took was three to five seconds, and he disappeared. He looked to me as though he were dressed all in black with a black belicava
or tuc on his head. The reason I thought he was wearing a tuc was that his head seemed to be long and black. It looked like it was wearing a jacket, and in the front of the jacket was open halfway and I could see a different color of the lining showing around the neck. It looked like it was light gray or almost blue on the chest area, and it was in the shape of a V. I really couldn't say how tall it was because its legs were behind the thick brush and I could only
see to about the mid thigh. But I would guess at the time that it was somewhere around five foot eight to six feet tall. But he was about forty yards away, and it's hard to judge height and size in the brush when you're not sure of the distance. His arm seemed to be too long for a man, but he was extremely muscular, like a bodybuilder with a typical V shape build. There was definitely no fat on him at all.
I could see all the different muscle groups on his upper body, and his arms were bulging out, and I could see that he had a washboard stomach. When he grabbed that tree, I saw that he had hands, not paus. He swung around that tree and dough for cover, as if he were trying to hide from me. As I said, it was a dull day and it was raining, and he looked wet. He was covered with black or dark brown hair, and it looked like the hair was stuck
to him fairly closely because he was wet. What also gave me the impression of a bodybuilder was that he seemed to have no neck, or he had so much muscle on his shoulders that it gave that appearance. On top of all that his shoulders were extremely broad. The witness watch this strange figure for a time, and he also noticed that whatever it was was making a raspy coughing sound as it moved, and that it began issuing a long, hoarse,
sad sounding howl before disappearing into the wilderness. It was this howl that really got him thinking that he was witnessing something very bizarre, and he says, when I first saw it, I thought it was a man lost in the bush. But my first thought was why is he wearing any orange? And if he's lost, why didn't you just ask for help? But that howl made me realize quickly that it was no man. The next thing going through my head was what the hell was that? That was no moose.
It definitely wasn't a wolf. For a bear, it was like nothing I had ever seen in my thirty five years of hunting. What it looked like to me was a gorilla, or very close to one, but it walked upright, not on all fours. I stood there motionless for almost an hour and a half waiting to see if it would show itself again. After a while, it started to dawn on me that what I had seen might be
a bigfoot, and I started to get a little scared. I normally leave the bush after dark one hunting, but this night I left about an hour and a half prior to when I would normally leave, to make sure that I had lots of time. I was going to go back to that area the next day looking for that bull, but I couldn't bring myself to go anywhere near that spot. That was the first time in thirty five years that I've been afraid in the bush. Since then, I've wondered if this thing
I saw was what scared that bull away. Like I said earlier, I've seen many moose in the bush, and I've never seen one run for me like that. Interestingly, though, from where that bull ran off and to where I saw this creature was only about fifty yards. Another thing, and I don't know if this means anything or not. Where I was sitting, I saw what was probably a moose bone laying on the ground about five feet from my ATV. It wasn't cut or sawed, it had been broken or
snapped. It looked to me that it was at least a year old. I was supposed to sit there for the next three days and finish the hunt and wait for that big bull, but I didn't want to be there. I've never been that scared in the bush in my life. I never did bag that moose. Brian, I've got a story to share that happened back
in the early eighties when I was still an active duty shriff deputy. It was something I'll never forget, and I think it's high time I shared it with others so that they might hear it and know that they're not alone. I've been listening to your show since the very beginning, and I appreciate your approach to the subject and the way that you treat the witnesses that come on to tell their stories. You being a former police officer is an added bonus
for me. I know that you had to see some real shit as an Atlanta police officer, and I can tell that makes you a better interviewer. I'm telling my story to you now only because you've earned my respect. So one day I get this call from this elderly couple who lived way out in the boonies. They were all riled up because some chickens had gone missing from
their coup and they had been hearing some strange noises at night. Now, chickens go missing all the time, and there's always strange noises in the woods. But I figured I'd go check it out, just to be on the safe. So I drive over to their place, and what do I see. The coop was wide open, and it looked like someone or something with hands had broken the latch and opened it up. Now that was just the start of something really weird, because over the next few years, I found
myself responding to calls at the same house time and time again. Now, as if the chicken heist wasn't enough, this couple starts discovering these massive footprints in their field. Now I saw these things a couple of times myself. We're talking about human looking footprints that were over eighteen inches long. Shortly after they saw the first set of footprints, they started losing cows left and right. It was just like the cows were vanishing into thin air or something.
I joked with my fellow deputies one time that I thought the cows were being taken by aliens. But it really was strange. They would just up and disappear like a fart in the wind. I honestly didn't pay it much attention at first. I just thought the old couple might be seeing things or hearing things and just having a run of bad luck with the cows and the chickens, you know. But then one night I got a call with them saying
that something was lurking around outside their house. They sounded terrified, so I hopped them up patrol car and I raced over there as fast as I could. When I pulled down into their driveway, I couldn't believe my eyes. Right there in the headlights of my car stood a creature that I never thought i'd see in my lifetime. It was a sasquatch, a real life sasquatch. This thing was humongous. It was at least eight feet tall, and
it was covered with hair from head to toe. This thing was standing between their house and this small outbuilding that covered up the head of the couple's well. This thing froze when my headlights hid it, and it looked directly into my eyes. Those huge, dark eyes, man, they pierced right through me. This thing looked at me for a couple of seconds, and then it turned around and bolted, and it moved faster than anything I'd ever seen move before. Before I could even get my car and park, it was
gone. Now, let me tell you, seeing that sasquatch changed everything for me. I couldn't deny what I saw. I went from being a skeptic to a true believer in just a matter of a few seconds. And now I feel like it's my duty to share my story with as many folks as possible. People need to know these things are out there wandering around in the shadows. So I'm here writing you now, hoping that my words will reach far and wide. I have no intentions of coming on the show. That's
not what this is all about. This is simply about getting the story out there to as many people as possible that maybe going through the same thing that that old man and woman were going through. After seeing what I saw that night, I had to go into the house and tell them the truth. I wanted them to know this thing was around their house and it was probably what had taken their chickens and cows. I had a duty to serve and
protect, and I know you can relate. I took that oath very seriously, even if I had to look like I'd lost my mind and tell these folks I'd just seen bigfoot in their yard. They were kind and generous people, and they were obviously shocked when I told them what I saw. They said they appreciated me coming out so quickly, and that I'd been honest with them, even at the risk of something like I was crazy to be honest with you. I still don't know if they truly believed me when I told
them I saw bigfoot in the yard. They never called me again after that night. I would stop buy and see them from time to time when I was on patrol, and I even ask them a couple of times if they had any more issues. They said they hadn't seen anything or heard anything strange, and that they hadn't lost any more animals. They both passed away just a few months apart that following year. After seeing what I saw that night,
I couldn't let it go. I retired in the late nineties, and after the internet became more accessible, I started investigating every sasquatch sighting and every encounter I could find, and boy, let me tell you, they were way more than i'd ever imagined. I reached out to other law enforcement officers, park rangers, and even civilian folks that had claimed to see these creatures. It turns out that my sasquatch encounter was the tip of the iceberg.
These reports were all over the country, from the dense forest and the Pacific Northwest to the remote swamps of Florida. Some claimed to have seen them lurking around their campsites, and others caught glimpses of massive forms dashing through the trees. It seemed like sasquatch sightings were happening more frequently than anybody realized, but I believe that most folks are too scared or too embarrassed to talk about it.
I started putting together my own file, collecting witness statements and any other evidence I could find. I even reached out to a few cryptozoologists and anthropologists who could maybe shed some light on these creatures. What I learned was fascinating, and it only added to the mystery. These sasquatches are bigfoot, as some people call them, at least from what I can gather, seemed to be highly intelligent beings that possess a level of stealth and agility that's allowed them
to evade capture for centuries. Their masters of camouflage, and they blend in seamlessly with their surroundings. But what struck me the most was their elusiveness. They seemed to be experts at avoiding human contact, yet people including me, report seeing them all the time. As I got deeper into my research, I started uncovering ancient ledge in folklore from different cultures around the world. It
turns out sasquatchlike creatures have been a part of human history for centuries. Native American tribes tell tales of encounters with tall, hairy beings that possessed supernatural powers and guarded the sacred lands. But what was their purpose? Why did they choose to reveal themselves to some and remain hidden from others. These kind of questions still haunt me to this day, and I'm still trying to piece together the puzzle. It is clear to me that something bigger is at play here,
and these things are way beyond our comprehension. I truly do believe that sasquatches are more than just a mythical creature and figments of our imagination. They're guardians of our natural world, protecting the balance between man and nature. But as our world and croaches further into their territories, these sasquatch are being forced
to retreat deeper into the wilderness. They're like ghosts vanishing before our very eyes as human civilization expands, and it's up to us to find a way to coexist and to respect their domain and preserve the fragile line between our worlds. So Brian Sasquatch are not just creatures of legend. They are real, sentient beings who deserve our respect and protection. And if, by chance, you come face to face with a sasquatch, just remember I've been there too.
So I'll continue my quest and I'll share my knowledge with anybody who's willing to listen. But I don't want any fame or fortune from it. I just want people to know that they exist. I know because I've seen one. Stay tuned for more sasquatch ott to see. We'll be right back after these messages. In two thousand and six, there was a spat of bigfoot sightings
in the vicinity of Pine Ridge Native American Reservation in South Dakota. People began to call in with numerous reports of seeing a ten to fifteen foot tall brood of a beast stalking about the wilds with a hunchback, and in some cases even bizarrely reported wearing a stove pipe hat. The sightings flooded the reservation's law enforcement agency, the Oglala Sue Tribe Department of Public says, but among these, perhaps the most compelling is a report made by officers at the scene of
such an account. The report was made by an officer by the name of James Twist, who would tell the site crypto mundo. Hello. My name is James Twist. I am a police officer on the Pine Ridge Reservation. I am passing on information regarding the rash of sightings of a tall man or bigfoot on the Pine Ridge Reservation. During one of these sightings, I had our department's thermal imaging camera and along with six officers, I did in fact
pick up a large heat signature on the camera. Unfortunately, we did not have a recorder yet for the camera, so we weren't able to record it. We did watch it as it moved away from us down at Gully, but it was missed by the other officers as they tried to find it with their flashlights. It is hard to explain as it must have already been past the officers before they arrived on scene. We watched it go into a creek area which runs through town. We heard a flurry of dogs barking, but
wasn't able to load. Also, to set the record straight, the first two Sidings was called in as a ten to fifteen foot tall man who appeared to be wearing a stove top hat and a long coat. It was reported to have been peeking into apartment complex common rooms, where there were several witnesses.
In twenty fifteen, there was a curious report making its rounds from police officers in the state of Pennsylvania. According to a report on the site Crypto Sidings, a police officer in McDade Park in Lakawana County, Pennsylvania, said that he was out on patrol when he noticed a looming dark shape leaning over the roadway with a large hairy section, including a big hairy wrist an extremely
muscular leg. The officer, who claims that he's an eighteen year veteran of the force, said of his outlandish encounter, I was driving on patrol in McDade Park in Scranton, PA, it was late at night, and I was checking the park, making sure that it was okay, and I just noticed a very dark object leaning over the edge the road near the pool. As I drove past, I passed extremely close to the object, close enough for me to feel shocked to see a hairy section as well as a muscled
leg and a big hairy wrist in hand. As the creature turned, I screamed and grabbed for my cell phone to snap a picture while also grabbing for my gun. I slammed on my brakes and I was ready to shoot. I'm combat trained and I have a weapon. I just had to see what the hell this was. I wanted to see the entire thing for myself, but what can I say? Whatever it was for me was either a huge monkey or a bigfoot. I'm not going to go public with this because it
would cost me my job. There's something in that park. I've heard stories about something roaming around the park late at night. Interestingly, there is another police officer report from Pennsylvania in August of twenty seventeen, who, on this evening, was driving along a road in a wooded location in southwestern section of Westmoreland County and he had a rather bonker's close encounter. As he made his way through the gloom of this remote place. He says that he noticed the
odd detail of a slivery sheen of light ahead low to the ground. As the officer approached, he then became startled, realizing that the light was emanating from a ball of light that seemed to be going just ahead of a decidedly bigfoot light creature. Researcher Stan Gordon would investigate this, and he says, of this off the wall account, the ball of light was actually ahead of a very strange being that looked to be about six feet tall or larger.
It was tall and almost skeleton thin. The officer was of the opinion that the creature when he first observed it, had been lying on its belly on the ground, with its head facing towards the road. It then stood up facing the road in that dark location. He saw the dull light glowing from the head, illuminating the upper section of the body of the creature. While the officer watched, the creature turned towards the right, a dull illumination from
the head lit up the shoulder area. The creature then turned and faced him, and then turned to the left and took off at an incredible rate of speed towards a location away from the road. As it moved off, the witness could see its arms swinging. The officer indicated that it took off at a speed that he could only call abnormal. It was faster than anything I'd ever seen. It was there and then it was gone. The officer assumed that the creature moved on two legs. However, he couldn't see the lower
sections of the body in the dark. The officer described what he saw as standing around six feet tall or taller. He said the head was about eight to ten inches in diameter and shaped like a ball. He said that the head was just a ball of light, possibly egg shaped, but still pretty round. The light that was being emitted was a dull white. The light illuminated to the shoulders, to the top of the chest, and a section of the arms, but he wasn't able to see the hands. The chest
looked like it was about eighteen inches across. The waist appeared to be small, but the arms were abnormally long. The long limbs also looked skeletal, with no muscle mass. The skin tone of the body appeared to be a dull grayish blue. The officer said that he was unable to see any facial details. The entire experience only lasted about ten seconds. The officer was confused
about what he had saw and how it could move so fast. He pulled his patrol vehicle to the location where the creature had been seen standing and turned on the vehicle spotlight. He looked around the area but saw no evidence on the ground. After the experience, the officer continued to try to make sense of what he had seen, but he couldn't figure it out. I was contacted soon after the incident, and we later discussed the incident in detail.
What in the world is going on here? Finally, we have a report from the BFRO that allegedly happened as recently as July of twenty nineteen in the state of Wisconsin. The witness is apparently a respected retired law enforcement veteran who was out driving with his sister and his brother near Tripoli, Wisconsin, when they had a brush with the truly bizarre. The witness says, the day was clear and cool. We were traveling approximately ten to fifteen miles an hour
in my Chevy Suburban. I was looking out across the clearing when I saw a large, reddish brown upright figure moving along the tree line in the distance. It was too large to be a deer, and it didn't have the proper height or gate to be a bear. It had no muzzle or neck, and the smaller trees moved aside like it was pushing its way out into
the woods. Reports like these are truly intriguing in the way that they come from actual law enforcement personnel, whom we wouldn't expect to be making up things or telling tall tales. In addition, police officers are typically thought to have better than average perception skills and eyes for detail, so whenever one makes an outlandish report of seeing something like this, it is enough to make one pause and think it's impossible to know if any of these have any more merit than
any of the other reports of the same kind. And in the end we're all left to speculate and ponder such odd accounts from these supposedly traditionally reliable witnesses. Is there anything to it at all? Do police officers count as better than average or more reliable witnesses? I leave that for you to decide.
