Episode description

I am beyond excited to introduce my new show Disturbing History.

The past isn’t always dead. Sometimes, it’s just been buried... and it’s time to dig it up. Disturbing History is a weekly podcast that dives headfirst into the strange, spooky, and little-known stories that history tried to forget. From secret societies and sinister folklore to lost colonies, unsolved mysteries, and events too dark for your high school textbook — this is where the shadowy corners of the past finally get their time in the spotlight.

Hosted by author, investigator, and storyteller Brian King-Sharp, each episode is a deep, immersive journey into the stories that disturb us — and the ones we have to disturb to uncover the truth. So if you're drawn to the uncomfortable, obsessed with the unexplained, or just can’t shake the feeling that some things never should’ve been buried…

You’re not alone. Follow. Subscribe. Turn on auto-downloads.
And get ready to disturb history.

If you know me from Sasquatch Odyssey, then you know the kinds of stories that matter to me. Strange encounters, unexplained phenomena, and the people who are brave enough to speak their truth. We've walked through the woods together, followed tracks into the unknown, and sat with the kind of mystery that doesn't come with easy answers. But there's another side of me, one you might not know as well.

Long before the Bigfoot casts, the field research, or the podcast Mike, there was history, not classroom history, not flag waving, sanitized textbook history. I'm talking about the kind of history that lingers, the kind that whispers, the kind that keeps a few pages ripped out or buried in the back of the file cabinet because someone somewhere decided the rest of us didn't need to know. And the truth is,

I've always been drawn to that. So today I'm inviting you to come with me on a new journey, one that digs into the darkest, strangest, and most buried corners of our collective past. My brand new show is called Disturbing History. This podcast is my love letter to the mysteries of the past. It's where I get to tell the stories I've been quietly obsessed with for years, the ones that never left me alone. Story's too weird for the history books, too chilling for the average podcast, and

too important to ignore. And we're hitting the ground running. The first twelve episodes are already live. Here's just a taste of what we've covered so far. JFK and the Lost Prophecy Files. Yes, that JFK the war hero, the President, the myth, But underneath the legend was a man deeply fascinated with mystics, psychics and ancient esoteric knowledge. Was he just curious or was he searching for something more? Mary

Todd Lincoln and the Afterlife? A grieving mother and widow holding seances in the White House, guided by mediums, haunted by death. What drove the first lady to embrace the spiritual world so fiercely? And why was it written out of the official record? Richard Nixon and the Bohemian Grove behind closed gates in the Redwoods of California, World leaders gather in robes before a stone owl. Nixon hated it, said so on tape, but he went what really happens

at Bohemian Grove? And how deep does its influence Go the hidden tunnels of Old New York. Beneath Manhattan lies a forgotten world, sealed off subway lines, Masonic passageways, and secret chambers built for reasons no one wants to explain what's down there and who's still using it. The Georgia Guidestones, a mysterious granite monument in rural Georgia with chilling commandments for a post apocalyptic world, erected in secrecy, destroyed in silence.

Who was R. C. Christian And what message was he really trying to leave behind? And that's just the beginning. We're covering vanished colonies, occult experiments, death ships, underground cults, bizarre medical history, and the true stories behind the myths we were never supposed to question. Each episode is researched, written and narrated by me, and produced with the same care and passion you've come to expect. This show isn't

just about telling stories. It's about uncovering what was lost, forgotten, or buried on purpose, because sometimes the truth doesn't disappear. Sometimes it gets covered in dust and locked away in the archives, just waiting for someone to disturb it. So I'm asking you person to person as someone who shared hours of stories and curiosity and mystery with me over the years. Take a moment, click the link in the show notes and give disturbing history a listen, follow, subscribe,

turn on auto downloads. And if something you hear grabs you, shakes you, makes you go wait what, send it to someone else. Help me spread these stories, because if we don't keep asking questions, who will. I created this show not just for history lovers, but for truth seekers, for those of us who believe the past isn't finished with us yet, and that looking back is sometimes the only

way to move forward. Because sometimes history is disturbing, and sometimes we have to disturb history to get to the truth. Let's dig for the truth together.
