SAP Experts Podcast Episode 50: Tech Well Told - Sarah Yvonne Elsser

Since a few years the tech industry is facing growing criticism concerning the way its players are communicating with the world outside its bubble, you know I am talking about customers. Criticism is centering about hollow messages that are repetitive, non-individual, and polished until there are indistinguishable. I myself was once approach by the CIO of a customer asking me after watching corporate youtube videos “Are there still people working in tech or are all of them exchanged by robots or assimilated BORG reciting tech slogans and bumper stickers?” Well there is no doubt that the way tech communicates is often a self-made barrier for customers finding their case concerning enterprise applications. What should help becomes a burden. That’s why I am happy that after half a year of planning and shifting I have finally got a hold an Sarah Yvonne Elsser. Sarah is a familiar face in Germany from her past as a presenter in television who has moved into consulting in all communication matters for tech companies, but is an podcast host herself, has her own video channel on youtube called tech well told and has become the face of Mercedes-Benz, whenever complicated technical matters have to be explained in a way that everybody understands. So we are talking about how technology, innovation and change should be communicated, what special things you should consider when interacting with your customers virtually and what are the typical mistakes corporations and professional people do including myself.
