You go, I got a new job and put the money. Let's get into it. So let's start off with may Or Shang Tao. Do we have to do? We have to? We have to because we say we're
gonna talk about it. We express a lot of disappointment on the show, like if you're just listening to us because you stumbled across us, or maybe you listen to whatever we put out there, although we're not consistent with it. We're gonna try to do better. I express a lot of disappointment in the fact that I feel like there's a large number of people, a huge community out there in the East Bay that just was hoping that she was going to be the answer to a lot of things, and it seems like she's
the problem to a lot of things. You know. Unfortunately for her, when she stepped in, we lost the a's and it didn't seem like a huge importance to her, even though the warriors already crossed the bridge. Crime has been on the uptick. And it's not her fault because a lot of times we, you know, pin all this stuff on politicians. But what are you doing about it? You let go of the one Oakland true like police chief that we had that a lot of people believed in, and I
do feel like he commanded a lot of respect. Let him go, and he's just been vindicated proving that he didn't do anything that he should have lost a job over. And you still won't reinstate him, you know, to our businesses out there being broken into. And this money that she says is the fault of the chief of administration, Yeah, for not getting this million
dollar grant millions multi million. San Francisco got seventeen millions. Oakland probably would have got the same, maybe a little less, But you guys missed the deadline on the page. April work like she is not qualified to be a mayor. Well, let's let's go all the way back to November, when folks were looking at the ballots and when things came through and it was like,
oh, how did how did this woman end up winning again? Because I'm gonna keep against Her name wasn't even on the radar for a lot of residents in Oakland, So a lot of people felt like she got pushed into
that position really without merit, like she hadn't even really deserved it. And to be quite honest, just from things I've heard folks tripping in that you know, political realm, like a lot of it was due to, you know, some people who she had ties with, and it seems like there were a lot of favors that were done to get her in, a lot of favors gonna have to pay back. The first thing she did, like you mentioned, let go of the Ron Armstrong. You know, yes,
the man is out now. I mean Oakland was already being you know, put on a higher list with more crime. The nine one one operator operating system didn't even freaking work, you know what I'm saying. We've had more car thefts now on Oakland that we have had there at least in the last seven to ten years. You know, thirty nine cars and one day, one day and one day, and it just keeps getting worse, and it's like, Okay, I feel like when you mentioned the money, she was
so happy. Yeah, we got two million dollars to try to make the nine one one system better. Oh but we fumbled potentially seventeen plus million dollars to take retail sell right, and we've got business after business needing to close down because they can't keep the streets safe, and a lot of folks are just like fed up with it. And it's like this woman is almost kind of just floundering in the water, just trying to figure it out. Yeah,
you know what I mean. And it's just it's it's it's laughable at this point because now she just got a raise and it's all on the back of the city. So congrats on the new money there, shang. Even though she rejected like the full amount they were trying to give her, that means she took what she took. So now she's the what, the third highest paid mayor in California underneath London Breed, which I feel like London is
earning her money, you know. And when we were having two women mayors on each side of the bridge, I was like, Okay, I had so much hope, and I know, you know, Marylynn and breed faces her challenges, you know, and when you're talking about homelessness or drugs, those are just things that one person cannot solve, right And I know they take responsibility because they're the face and the name of the city. But all these small cases, you gotta be f and kidding me. We did not
get the application in on time for funding for retail theft. That's simple as paperwork, you know what I mean. That is such a huge important thing to all these small business owners who have closed down, and we missed it. Come on, man, the state had over two hundred and sixty million dollars available for all these cities to go ahead and tap into to try to help with this retail theft. You have community after community meeting to tell you
we're getting robbed on a regular basis. People are coming here and it's brazen. We keep seeing people on freaking video robbing people at gunpoint for a couple of dollars in the fucking register, you know what I mean? How could you not take care of that? And then for your response to be well, that wasn't necessarily on me, that was on somebody else, the city administrator. Brou you're the head you're the leader. You're the leader. Yeah, And a part of me is like, okay, because I'm always on
some conspiracy theory type shit. Do you not want these small businesses to recover? Because maybe big retailers are, but how are the retailers surviving either. People are just running in and stealing all the ship. So they're doing as bad, maybe not as because you know, obviously they have bigger pockets where they can recover from other areas, where as small business owners like if they
lose, they lose, Like there's no recovery. There's no other huge chain in another city that can make up funding for what's happening in the Bay Area. So I don't know. Again, I'm just going to lean on the fact that the woman is unqualified. And I don't know if the other guy who you're talking about, Lauren Lauren Taylor, I don't know if he would have done better. I would hope so. And then we have Pam Price.
Oh you know again, I you know, you talk in front of people, and we would hope that the end of the day, your primary goal is justice. But when you've got grieving parents, are grieving family members or whatever, like, you just have to really be careful what you say. You are supposed to uphold the law to the utmost, but also remember
that these citizens put you in this position. So the last thing you want to do, on top of sayn unappealing things in the media, you might want to not fucking hire your boyfriend on as one of your first acts of duty. Mach like. That was just not a good look. And if you don't replace that fucking wig, damn, it is pretty bad. It
looks like Curly Fries. I really want her to somebody, you know, I know, damn Well, somebody then called him and been like, baby, I got a stylists I know for a fact, but you know, bad here aside, A lot of people just feel like she hasn't necessarily lived up to I think justice in the in the in the county, and also keep in mind when she was running, her whole thing was I want to make sure it's of precedence if we are gonna be persecuting these people, meaning
you know, I'm not just gonna go ahead and just because somebody is saying that this person is guilty, we're gonna throw them to the fire. I want to go through the process and fully make sure that we're prosecuting these people properly. Yes, I understand that, But also when we got babies dying on the freeway because motherfucker's want to be out here just shooting, you're gonna you gotta, you gotta tote that line. And that's the position that you're
in. You're a government official, so you gotta, you know, not only do you have to appease the victims, you know what I mean, you gotta make sure justice to serve. So it's just it's a lot of mess, and it's a whole lot of chaos that's going on in Alameda County right now. I think with our elected officials, but I definitely feel like it's been a disservice to the residents as of late. And we're almost to the tail end of this year. Yea, this is just year one.
We don't know what the next two three gonna look like. Yeah, I mean hopefully not like this shit keeps going crazy. We don't have a police chief still, right it's hard to even find people who want to be police officers in Oakland or the East band general. It's just ugly. It's an ugly time to be alive. I said that to somebody just earlier today, I was like, dude, the stuff that our generation has seen, not only heights and technology and then the way things are changing, but also on
the high high end of that, just a dissipating of humanity. Yeah, all respect for each other, shit just getting run. However it's gonna get run, Like where where are the organized, fucking respectable people to help lead what's going on in the Bay Area? So I don't know. I always put pres up for my people every single day. I'm not apolo Attian. I would never want to be in that position, So I don't understand how
hard the job is. Like we're radio DJs. We talk, but I am a witness to it, and in that's saying, I have an opinion about what I'm seeing and what's being done. And the simple fact the application is just fucking dumb. I mean, like, come on, you're grown people out there. I don't unders make it make sense. Yeah, you turn it in your homework late, so you know, I don't understand it.
And it's not just for great it's for people's safety, people's fucking life savings and life work that you're messing up because you're not taking care of business, you know what I mean, and I mean at the top of all off, it's hard just living hell inflation kicking us all in the ass so much. So I know you over here, you know, getting the extra gig just like man, let me make sure I got my pocket straight.
Honestly, I just wanted to educate myself and something else. So sure we can say money, but you know what I'm saying, but it really is just boils down to I had time, so I did something else with my time, because I'm not a lazy bitch. So I go out and I try to get it. So I took these real estate classes. But before we go there, let's talk about the Golden State Warriors, because Dwight Howard is a possible to come onto the squad, and we do need to get
my boy, Kevan Luney a little break. You know, the man's a tree and a force to be reckoned with on the court. But we need another person in that position. Is it Dwight Howard? I don't know. See the most intepre interesting part to me, aside from the fact that he's been overseas doing this saying in basketball and he's been doing great in China is what is this gay thing? Well, I mean there's there's been speculations and
rumors for years around Dwight's sexuality. I never ever felt that. And when I brought it up to you, like are we about to sign Dwight? You were like, yeah, so I wonder what's gonna happen because you know, we got some drama. And I was like, OHO's spelled the tea. Well, you know, he's always kind of, I guess, been an issue in locker rooms that he's been in right from LA to Atlanta.
There's always kind of something swirling around Dwight. Okay, but when you talk about like folks and people being like, well, I mean is he is he doing this in the sheets? Is the X, Y and Z? You gotta go back to when you know he was playing I believe in Orlando and his his his you know, the mother of his child at the time came out and was like, yeah, like you know, the white gotta be back both ways. Never heard that. Who who have they tried to
put him with? Well, I mean she didn't come out and specify any type of names, but definitely during that time he had to be out for a little while. Because they said he had some rectal issues and he ended up missing some games behind issues. Well, they never the team definitely never specified, never dug into specifics, but from just blog sites and other stuff like that, it became a whole thing about him having you know, sexual
intercourse with the man and clearly being injured behind that interaction. So you know, continue on, boom boom. Fast forward. Then a few years ago there was a trans woman who came out and basically was pretty much blackmailing him try to get some money, saying, yeah, Dwight and I have had a relationship for X amount of time and he stopped paying me, so I'm airing everything out leaked. I'm talking about his nudes leaked, also their conversations
even phone conversations around. Yeah. So after that came out, it took some time, the media storm dropped off. Now recently, yes he's been playing overseas, but also he spent a lot of time still in his home in Atlanta. There's a new man who's came out and said I was having relations with Dwight X, Y and Z, and something started going on another you know, pretty much blackmail situation where the young man was like man like, yeah, Dwight hit me up in my DMS. We was having conversations.
You know. I ended up going over to his house. I was like, are you sure that this is what you want? Dwight was like, man, you know, I'm not gay or nothing. I'm just a freak. Said that he had some sexual interactions with this man and the same type of things saying. Dwight was like, oh, man, I'll take
care of y'all. Give you some money by I don't know if it's hush money, but you know, when you're a public figure and you're not out in that way, one would speculate that that's what it is, that's what's going on. I guess, you know, we should be beyond this point. But I guess it must be a little harder for athletes. It's different because an average person who may work like in an office or whatever. Okay, you're gonna face like some controversy or some people who are anti whatever.
You're in a locker room, like you're in with people all like you know, you're same sex whatever, all the time, traveling showers like whole you know, and I maybe it would make some of the players feel weird. I don't know we should be beyond that though. Just because a person likes their same sex, yeah, doesn't mean they're attracted to you absolutely, But
some people still have that, you know, that stigma. Well, you know, when it comes to sports, especially like male dominated sports, athletes used to have that much cheese smoke kind of like you know, I'm talking about just in the industry itself, right still in music. In the music industry, you still you talking about Like but when you're talking about rapping, hip hop and all of this stuff, right, we know they real hard, got all the chains, saging their pants, got guns, but don't
forget your shoes, buddy. Yeah, you know, but I mean, but but these are definitely arenas where we know for a fact, it's heightened awareness. People are like, oh, so and so we've heard such about so and so. So For Dwhite, I don't know if he's trying to quote unquote safe face around this whole thing, but you know, when allegations come out, I feel like now his responses are starting to change. He's just like, you know, whatever, whatever, I'm not gonna deal with
it. I'm not gonna address this blah blah blah. But I mean to be quiet honest, I don't care who you laying next to. Man, can you get ten rebounds a game? Can you help my team get another fucking championship? Because that's all I want. Let's have another parade. It's also Dwight, your grind are gonna go crazy here and somebody checking his phone. He got grinders, but clearly he goes both ways because he's got kids, you know whatever, So whatever it is, what it is. Maybe
he is just a freak, you know. But I mean, if you interact with men, then you have you have that you're bisexual. Yes, by So that leads me to cominga shout out to Jonathan Man. I want this to be the year he spreads his wings. And I'm not saying Cominga's gay because people will listen to this being like, oh my god, Comingo's gay too. I don't know. I'm talking about my new venture. Okay. So I was talking to my colleague now because if y'all don't know, I am now a real estate agent. Shot out the handle again, going back, I am. So during the pandemic, I took the courses because you know, we were home, so I was taking those and then I finally took my test in May. So I'm new, new, but you can hit me on the I G. I'm working on the face, spooking everything else. Sana G find a home for me. I love it. We've been working it out.
We go get it together. It was like San find a home for me. He was doing something like that. It's so funny. So anyway, yeah, I didn't expect it to go this far, but here we are, and I'm working with some good people out there in my neighborhood. A shout out to Jean. She's my home girl and I've been shadowing her. Right. She just showed this six million dollar house, beautiful home out here
in the Bay Area, which was really dope. But she was saying, like, girl, I gotta take you to the ones we do in Atherton. I know that's crazy, Atherton Menlo Park, Like come on now, it was a twenty one million dollar home. That wasn't her open house, it was somebody else's. But when you get to that level of a home buying per situation, she said, they had poker games going on, there was entertainment obviously, free food, like because you've got millionaires coming in.
True true, Ryan. Nobody, not everybody can just drop twenty one million on a house, right, So they want to be entertained, they want to be schmoozed whatever. I get that part, and I can't wait to be there when I do them. Ivite, y'all can come have some you know, shrimp cotail and some poker. Right. That was probably that too. Kaminga comes walking into the house. Yeah, one of our Golden State Warriors, and I guess was interested in looking at the home and whatever.
So you get to that level, boy, you know, you've got people with some serious cash, professional athletes, actors, actresses, musicians, whatever that I gotta come out to that. I'm not there yet. I am just shadowing her. She's a boss, right, And that wasn't her house. That was somebody else's. She went to open house. But that's a part of it. You just gotta mingle, be out there whenever, you know, you know, coordinating with folks. It's a lot that goes into
it. I'm I'm not gonna lie. I'm pretty overwhelmed by all the information that I have to take in. Yeah, and then there's just the everyday process of reporting and being a part of a team and all that stuff. But best believe when I tell you to, your girl gonna get it, you know. And I think you know since I found my house. That is the funnest part of its I know the process. And the crazy thing about it is when I saw my house from the street, I already knew.
I was like, that's my house. And when I walked in my homegirl Stacy shout out to her Stacy Moreland, she walks. She was like, this is the one and I was like, I know. So when I you just have that feeling, it's so weird, and for all your first time homebuyers, like I want to share that feeling. I want to give you that feeling. That's the thing that I loved about it because my real estate agent at the time he doubled as a fireman and it takes a
lot o wow. He was showing me these huge properties and I'm like, I've got my baby Naya in a in a carrier. Yeah, I can't. I don't have time to replace walls, and like, you know, so we have a smaller home where we're happy in our house. It's our home. It's cozy, it's beautiful. I love it. I keep it up but you know when you guys are ready to step into that realm. Sona gee found a home for me. It's over there on the IG so
you can always hit me up and we'll figure it out. I'm still new, so give me a little bit of time, but best believe when I'm ready, I'm gonna hit the streets rolling. What's the worst that could happen if you're not investing your life savings, if it's just your physical effort. you know what I mean. And now look what I've turned it into at this point. So whatever it may be, you know you talk about voiceover work or pursued as shit, all you gotta do is go online and find some agencies, like you know, anybody out there, whatever you might want to do, whatever you enjoy, because that's what's actually going to give it
the propulsion that it needs. Again, I didn't think it was going to be this much worker training, but I really love looking at homes and I love looking at people when they're happy or they know, like you see the lightbulb come on like, oh shit, this isn't my spot, and then we make it work. The numbers can be worked. Is just getting to that point where I'm in love with this space. You know, my agent
help me down, had my back. I trust her all of those things are beautiful blessing and they feel like you know, you feel not vindicated. What's the word I'm looking for?
