Short-term memory can create a formidable challenge to situational awareness. Long-term memory is huge, some might argue it’s limitless. Short-term memory, not so much. The capacity of the average person’s short-term memory is about seven pieces of unrelated information, give or take a few. We’ll discuss this challenge and some tips for how to work around this cognitive shortcoming.
