In today’s show Jamie Howison speaks with Gerry Bowler, a man perhaps best-known as Professor Christmas seeing as he is the author of three books on the topic. Together they explore why this annual celebration is (most often) on December 25th, why it’s been a mixed blessing throughout the centuries and together they lament the lack of great Advent hymnody.
