Good morning my friend. It is going on six o'clock in the morning here in Vinhoot Namidia. Perhaps where you are, it is afternoon or evening. Whatever the case I hope that God is with you and that you and your household are well in every way. Holiness is a quality God possesses. The ability to make something holy is something holy. Only God can do. Holiness is a quality that naturally belongs to God. Making something holy is an ability only God possesses. No human being, no angel has the power
to make something holy. The angel or the human being can recognize what God made holy and respect it. But I say again, no human being, not even an angel, can make something holy. Having said that we will now read the opening statements in the fourth commandment. Remember the sub of day to keep it holy. We are to keep it holy because someone previously made it holy and that person is the creator God Jesus Christ. He invites us to preserve
what He has made. If I take it upon myself and I speak kindly, but I must speak forthrightly, if I take it upon myself to regard the first day of the week or Wednesday or Thursday as holy, I am virtually saying that I am God and I have the ability to make Sunday or Tuesday or Thursday holy and this is all together blasphemous in the eyes of God. We are called the Pond to live a godly life. We are never called upon to be God. Only God can make a day holy.
Which means while the Bible says, remember the sub of day to keep it holy, the person who observes Sunday is virtually saying, remember the first day of the week to keep it secular. Why is that? Because no amount of church service on the first day or the third or the fifth can make that day holy because the holiness of a day is not attached to the activities that human beings perform on that day. The holiness of a day is the result of the direct activity
of God. Sunday worship them is virtually someone saying, remember Sunday to keep it secular, but God wants us to keep something holy, not keep something secular. But since Sunday is not holy, all the Sunday worshipers can say, honestly, let me keep Sunday secular. Why? Because God made it secular. But you made the seventh day holy. My listening friend, let us reason together. That's what the Bible tells us in Isaiah 1.18, God tells you and me come.
Let us reason together. Remember the sub of day to keep it holy, because God made it holy, since God did not make the first day of the week holy. Anyone who regards that day as a sub of is virtually saying, I have made it holy or I have recognized the action of some other human being who has made it holy. This is blasphemous against God. Remember the sub of day to keep it holy, because no other day is holy. May the Lord bless you my listening friend as you cooperate
with God and by his power offered to you, keep a holy day holy. It is holy because God made it holy. If you regard any other day of the week as holy, you're virtually saying, remember the first day or the second day to keep it secular because you cannot keep it holy. May the Lord bless you as you honestly and I'd love for God, keep the sub of holy.
