Ladies and gentlemen. The Reverend Jesse Jackson has weighed in on the NFL protests. It's a take that only he could come up with, because he's dead wrong about everything. He was on Fox Sports one. First, he accused the NFL of committing illegal workplace harassment because he says the NFL allows owners to cut players that protest the anthem without having to pay out the full contract, unlike Major League Baseball. In the NBA, they can cut players, but
not because of the anthem protests. There's no question in his mind that Colin Kaepernick was the victim of collusion since he hasn't been picked up by any other team. Reverend Jackson took issue with the Star Spangled banner itself because it was written by a slave owner and has offensive lyrics in one of the verses. But the kicker is this quote from the Reverend Jackson. To go from picking cotton balls to picking footballs and basketballs without freedom
is not very much progress. Now. I don't know how many football or basket ball players picked cotton balls before being signed by professional sports teams, but I guess not very many. Larger point is this, if Jesse Jackson is correcting his claim that protesting football players don't have freedom, that they are just as oppressed as slaves picking cotton word two centuries ago, while they earn millions more than average Americans. Then, the entire civil rights movement has been
a total bust with him leading it. H
