A couple of weeks after The New York Times was hit with a lawsuit for age and race discrimination, they're making more news and here it is fit to print. There is widespread pay discrimination at the so called paper of record. The political reports on a new study released by the News Guild of New York. That's the union that represents people at work there. And guess what. White men at the paper are paid better than women and minorities.

Among the New York Times employees, minorities make an average of ten percent less than white guys. Women make an average of seven percent less than the white guys, and older women are hardest hit. Women who have been with the company for twenty years making average eleven percent less than the guys. Women who have been at the Times less than six years have a mere two to four percent pay gap with men. Apparently, not only is beauty in the eye of the beholder at the New York Times,

so are wages. Now the Times doesn't only hammer the little women. Big wig women get the big diss. When the company fired Joe Abrams in their first and only female exact editor, she revealed that she had been paid considerably less than the male editor She replaced now. Since The New York Times loves big government so much, I expect they'll be calling for federal intervention, maybe an investigation, to force themselves to treat minorities and women fairly.
