Los Alamidos is the second smallest city in Orange County, California, but maybe the bravest. This week, their city council voted four to one to opt out of the California Values Act. That's the sanctuary law the California Democrats passed last year and took effect on January one. After two hours of debate, the council passed the proposal, which was introduced by Los Alamidos council member Warren Kusamoto. He later said the issue was never amount immigrations, about looking out for the citizens
of his city. As mayor of Los Alimidos, concluded Mayor Troy Edgar, we are not a sanctuary city. He said he hopes that other mayors follow suit and declare their cities as non sanctuaries. The city council then directed the city attorney to write an amicus brief supporting the lawsuit the Trump administration filed against California sanctuary law earlier this month. Now it would be one thing of these four council members cast this vote in a safe state. They did
this in California. This is the deepest blue state there is, and they had to know that. By declaring themselves a non sanctuary city. They're going to get a whole bunch of fury and anger and hate from liberal Democrats are running their state into the ground. But they did it anyway, folks. This is what political courage looks like.
