Kato Mealy, the owner of a coffee shop in Lynn, mass Jose. It's found out the damage social media can do to a thriving enterprise. On Facebook, ms Mealy's daughter, Sophie said the shop would never host a coffee with a cop event. She said that cops are bullies. She's adamantly anti police. After getting pushed back online, she doubled down. She said that police uphold an unjust system and the
police commit murder without consequence. While a firestorm erupted, ms Mealy fired her daughter and wrote an apology to the police. She called her daughter's remarks distasteful, biased and hateful, and she said the word police officers due is heroic and that her daughter should never have linked her own personal views to the business. No, none of that stopped the storm. Some of the comments posted by those offended by Sophie's anti cops posts were just as adamant as Sophie's posting.
Exhausted by all of this, Ms Mealy announced the office shop would be closing. Her business shutdown less than two weeks after a hateful post appeared on social media, put there by her own daughter. Now, I have a suggestion for Sophie, who is now looking for work. You know. Have you thought about calling the NFL Players Union. They don't like the cops either. This could be a perfect fit for you.
