We have a legal decision on sanctuary cities, and it's a good one. The three judge panels Second Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously overturned a district court judge who ruled the Trump administration could not withhold grants from sanctuary cities. That was part of the anti Trump resistance movement among
the judiciary. In seventeen, then Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Department of Justice was going to withhold grant money from states who defied federal immigration law by granting sanctuary illegals. Well, it didn't take long for the resistance
to act. Seven states New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Virginia, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Washington State ran the federal court and sued, and, as so often happens, coincidentally, the resistant states found a friendly resistance district judge to go along with them. Trump administration appealed. So now finally we've gotten a common sense ruling from the appellate court. They ruled that, of course, the federal government can withhold grant
money from states who break federal laws. A no brainer. Now, this will probably end up at the Supreme Court because Liberals never give up the fight, no matter how ridiculous or absurd it may be. But at least for now you can file this under We're not tired of winning and victory is so sweet.
