It could be the most amusing race to watch this election cycle. Actress Cynthia Nixon from Sex in the City is taking on New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. It is a case of Lefty versus Lefty Earth Now. At her first campaign stop in Brooklyn, she unleashed on Cuomo, who we call here affectionately the son of Mario the Pious. The New York Times says that she questioned whether Cuomo is a real Democrat. She said that Cuomo is beholden to corporate donors. She linked him to the corruption of
New York politics. She hit him for presiding over a state divided into halves and have not, in her words, the single most unequal state in the country. Now, after likening Cuomo to President Trump for slashing taxes on corporations and the super rich, Cynthia Nixon outlined her three point platform. She is going to fix the very segregated New York school system, she is going to solve inequality, and she is going to make the subway trains run on time.
A Cuomo surro get hit back. Former City councilwoman Christine Quinn called Cynthia Nixon an unqualified lesbian after a firestorm, Quinn apologized, said she's just a lesbian. MS. Nixon did pick up a heavyweight endorsement, though, Rosie O'Donnell is all in and that's going to count for something. Whenever Rosie sits in on something, it's big. But think about this well, Governor Cuomo's brother, Fredo eiterview Miss Nixon on CNN, maybe even betray the family and supporter. Like I said, this
is going to be fun to watch. H
