Episode description

I went into the NYC Marathon ready for my comeback. After injuries and heartbreaks, I was ready for the race I deserved. And I got it...it just wasn't the race I thought I was going to have. This marathon was a forced pause. A chance to reflect and force myself to acknowledge the community we've built and how far I've come. And most importantly, it helped me remember why I run and why I started running. Grief. Loss. Heartbreak. A fear of failure. The list goes on and on....

It's hard to describe just how much running has changed my life but this year's NYC Marathon was a giant reminder of what's truly important: Never giving up on impossible.

There's only one thing harder than changing the way you see yourself, and that's living with an inner critic that says that you aren't worth fighting for. And it's only because I started running that I now believe that I'm fighting for.

This episode is nostalgic one but without any further ado, let's talk about what went down during the 2018 NYC Marathon.
