She even steals OP's engagement ring under the pretense that she's getting it cleaned. OP decides to turn the tables on her mother-in-law by telling her that the ring is cursed! OP's grandma performed an ancient Brazilian ritual on the ring to curse anybody who steals it. The mother-in-law is so dumb that she believes it, and the ring suddenly reappears the next day.
