Matthew 6:16-18 FastingJesus reminds us that to live upside down is to recognise our frailty while drawing into closer intimacy with God and this can be down through the practice of fasting.
Matthew 6:5-15 Kingdom PrayerPrayer is an essential part of living the life Jesus calls us to. To live upside down is to learn to pray, the Lord's prayer daily, individually and together, asking God to change our hearts and for it to be turned towards Him and others".
Matthew 6:1-4 Pharisee or Disciple?In Matthew 6, Jesus directly challenges the Pharisees on their spiritual practices of giving, prayer and fasting. Jesus calls believers to give out of their position in Christ to give glory to the Father and not to give to gain worldly recognition.
Matthew 5:38-48 Say What!Part of living upside down is Jesus' radical call for us to exercise active creative non-violence against those who offend us; to pay back all that we owe and even more; to go the extra mile when we are inconvenienced and to practice courageous generosity.
