Rome Learns to... Podcast

Started as a side project in the midst of the COVID pandemic, this is now a personal audio journal where I share my thoughts, learnings, and random musings as I experience and learn various things while living my life as a regular human being and while creating content. There might be guests from time to time, but it's mostly going to be just me talking to my past self, my current self, my future self, and to you (my favorite listeners).

006.e 수적천석: Dripping Water Pierces a Rock

This is a four-word proverb that I learned when I visited Busan for something that's totally not related to learning Korean. For me, in a few words, it means consistency and persistence. Find out more by listening to this episode.

Time Travel: A "Letter" To My Thirty-year-old Future Self

I recently came across a video by Nathaniel Drew wherein he created a video message for his future self. While this concept is not really new and I have been doing this by actually writing letters on paper for my future self (I don't know where those are right now), I just thought this method can be a way to remind my future self to look back on my journey to becoming the person I am yet to become. (PS. I am forgiving myself for mispronouncing "patreon")

Hello! Here I share my story about introversion in a different language and in a different light. For everyone who saw the Korean version and didn't understand me completely, this is for you. This is not a mere translation and there are some stories here and there that don't appear in the Korean and vice-versa. Hope you get some bits of wisdom here!

001.e Quatro: How I Learned Four Languages (Pangasinan, English, Filipino, and Korean)

This is my first full-length episode and here I try to remember fond memories of how I got to learn the languages that now makes me whole as a person - Pangasinan, English, Filipino, and Korean. In this time of Covid-19, it's a little hard to just stay at home and do nothing so I decided I'd look back at these memories and share them with you. Listen to this episode and you'll get to know me better and perhaps you'd also pick a few language-learning tips scattered here and there. Thank you!
