Writing in Colour (Episode 5): A Romance in Colour Special Series (ft. Sophia Singh Sasson)

Can Romance and Culture connect? Romance in Colour is starting a new series, Writing in Colour, where we talk to authors of color from various backgrounds and locations,  who are writing in the romance genre. We are highlighting the diversity of the genre and highlighting #Ownvoices with authors who are actively working to amplify writing that is unique, diverse, and most of all, romantic.

Sophia Singh Sasson is many things: immigrant, Canadian/US Citizen, World Traveler,  Modern Indian Woman, Mom and Wife, and  Doctor of Public Health. But most importantly, she is a writer with a passion for romance. Writing under the famed Harlequin "Heartwarming" imprint, Sophia creates diverse stories that feature diverse characters, including those who reflect her own Indian heritage. We talked about her love of travel, how she wants to make readers feel, and why Nancy Drew and Bollywood Movies absolutely stole her heart as a kid.
