Episode description

What happens when men of color from a cross-section of lived experiences get together and talk about romance, sex and intimacy? Listen to Romance in Colour's inaugural Men's RoundTable featuring authors and fans of speculative and romantic fiction as we talk about romance, room for men in romance, and portrayals of men (especially queer/men of color/neurodivergent) in romance. On the panel we have a great group of fellas: R.M. Virtues is a mythology junkie, lover of love, and creator of worlds. He writes erotic romance and dark fantasy about underrepresented characters who get to live and love in a history unabridged. When he isn’t busy conjuring romances, he can be found watching horror movies, playing fantasy video games, or eating Korean BBQ. He currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with his Funko Pop horror collection. You can find him online at rmvirtues.com or @rmvirtues on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Patreon. Moe Shalabi is a Palestinian-American author of literary works, often with a speculative edge. Moe's short stories appear in multiple literary magazines both online and in print and can be found in the Nonbinary Review and Reed Magazine. His short story Palestina, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. You can find his nonfiction work in the Washington Post. When he's not working on his many manuscripts, Moe is busy being a full-time consultant in the Washington D.C. Metro area.  Find him at https://moeshalabi.com/  and on Twitter @Agent_Moe Ja-Mel Vinson (He/She) is making lesson plans and going to class. Given her love of over-analysis and deconstructing video games, books, and movies, it was clear to everyone around him that she'd become a high school English teacher. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. Follow them on Twitter at @@AuthorJVinson2  and at their website  (under construction) jamelvinson.com Rory James is a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) professional and Public Health practitioner who has worked in both higher education and with HIV outreach/education.  A trained epidemiologist, Rory is passionate about educating new adult populations on sex, health, and intimacy. Currently, Rory is the Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Indiana University- Bloomington.
