Saint Frances (2019) with Kelly O'Sullivan, Alex Thompson and Nate Hurtsellers

Hello! Welcome to a very special episode of the audio commentary podcast hosted by me, David Hughes.

My favourite film released in the UK in 2020 was Saint Frances, written by Kelly O'Sullivan (who also plays the lead role) and directed by Alex Thompson. I really wanted Kelly and/or Alex to record a commentary for the podcast, and when I found out they'd already recorded one – but that it was only available on the American Blu-ray edition – I decided to break with tradition and licence the recording from the U.S. distributor, the wonderful Oscilloscope. As a bonus, Kelly and Alex are joined by cinematographer Nate Hurtsellers for a walk through their enchanting low-budget film. I'm indebted to the commentators as well as everyone at Oscilloscope for making this happen.
