And we continue on Fred Rogan Rodney Pete on a five to seventy LA Sports Dodger tickets this hour Red Sox game Sunday at the stadium. Hope you win, Hope you get to go, and do not forget. Monday, we will be at a Hollywood Park in Englewood noon to three, Austin Barnes our special guest. We are giving away baseball tickets. We are giving away prizes, Kevin. Have we confirmed a second no, a third special guest? Jet Have we confirmed a third special guest? I'm working on confirming that special
guest does a greater than ninety percent chance I guess will join us. Okay, so we could have three special guests. That is correct. All right, It's gonna be a big day in Hollywood Park. Absolutely gets it always is, FRETD. What do you mean. I'll tell you this. Food's pretty good. Food's excellent. Don't you think they have those sliders which are not really sliders that basically like they give you like three giant cheeseburgers. I was like, this is this is not a slider, but it's tastes amazing.
It's great. Food is great. They've got drinks Rodney always says, if you get down early and I'll play a couple of hands of black jat, why not sit at the tables a little bit. They have that free play there, that free play black Jack free play. I don't know if they have free play. You know what, I played a win. I know you don't get to play for free, but if the dealer does a certain thing, you automatically whin. It's great. I've played this game.
Of course, I'm probably calling it the wrong name now, but it's black jack. But it's got this this bonus tied to it. It's fun. I enjoy it. I'm playing a lot of black jack lately. Kevin Okay in the Coachella Valley. Huh try. I think it'd be more of a bingo demographic than black jack, but hey, whatever works. Hey they have it's not called cross dresser bingo. Excuse me, no, they have. It's not you're right, I mean technically it's called drag queen bingo. That's
what it is. Yeah, that's that is. Ah have drag queen bingo. It is huge. Yeah, it's it's very popular in many places. Absolutely, Oh my god. Yeah, you know in bingo, in bingo there's different ways to play bingo, Crisscross, the four Corner game. I used to sell Dars sandwiches at Boys Club Bingo in Phoenix, Dar sandwiches Dar D's okay, Well, here's what it is. First, the boys Club would have bingo every Saturday night, and the people that would come, obviously
you would pay and you'd bring your dabber. Everybody had a dabber right for the paper game. The dabber is like a giant marker where you just dab it and it covers the number. And what you would do is you pay. You'd buy so many cards and then you'd puy paper cards and you use your dabber on the paper cards. And they have the Crisscross game, for Corner game, the X game, all these games, all these games that you could play bingo. So I would sell dark sandwiches, and dark sandwiches
came in plastic bags and you would put them in a microwave. I don't even think they had a microwave, so it was like a toaster oven. So I would walk around during bingo and say anything to eat or drink? Anything to eat or drink? Would you like something to eat? I would do this for like three hours, and people would buy dark sandwiches, and back then they were like a buck. So then I would take their order, we'd put it in the toaster oven, and I'd bring out their dark
sandwich. That's my bingo story again. What is a dark sandwich? Okay? So it would be like a sandwich that you would put in a microwave today, like what's in it? Oh? Okay, like groast beef with cheese, stuff like that. And then ham sandwich, ham sandwich. Yeah. No, you know where you can get much better food than dar sandwiches. Where Dodger Stadium, which is where I think David sa is right now. Oh, it's David with us now, all right, let's bring him
on. Hello, Dave. My days started with you, guys. So what do you got? We got you, Dave, We got you. Dave. Hey, Dave, you're on TV tonight? Man, Are you all dressed up? Ready to go? I am. I'm suited and booted, ready to go for Sports Net LA and am five seventy tonight, Rodney, ready to go. That's what I'm talking about, brother, That's what I'm talking about, Dave. How important is this is? This series with the Boston Red Sox giving away the Dodgers finished right before the All Star break.
Coming back now having this series at home against Boston, it's got to be a very important series to kick off the second half, right. Yeah, for sure, Rodney, that was a very frustrating ending going into the All Star break, just one in six and since May twenty second, the Dodgers are a game under five hundred, so it's important for them to put the way that first half ended and start off on the right foot. Even
with a seven game lead in the NL West. So very disappointing into July as far as the All Star Break goes, but they've got a big seven game homestand here with the Red Sox and then four with the Giants. And like I mentioned before, there is no magic wand to cure the Dodgers pitching injuries right out of the break, but some encouraging things are happening. Starting
today, the Dodgers activated Joe Kelly. He has only made fifteen appearances this year, but he's back tonight for the first time since May fifth, so that's huge. And also the Dodgers will be keeping an eye on Oklahoma City tonight because that's where Clayton Kershaw is making a third rehab start and he's expected to go four innings tonight. On the topic of pitching, Andrew Friedman talked to Bill Plunkett and said something that I think Dodger fans wanted to hear.
We're not trying to do something marginal here at the trade deadline. We're going for it. We're taking a big swing. We've got to get somebody that can play. We need pitching and the bottom half of the order needs some help. Rodney and I were trying to kick it around, trying to figure out if they really had to give guys up, it's going to cost them. Would a guy like Miguel Vargas be in the package? Would a guy like Lux be in the package? Would a pitcher be in the package?
You monitor this closer than anybody. What do you think, Well, Gavin Lux is not a centerpiece to any package at this point in time, Fred, He would be a throw in, is what I've been told by other teams around baseball. That's how he's viewed right now. So any package, it would be all right, We'll throwing Gavin Lux as well. But I know the White Sox have that interest in Miguel Vargas. Vargas has really improved from a year ago and is resembling the guy that won the Minor League Player
of the Year a couple of years ago. So he certainly is on the table if you're able to find an impact pitcher like a Trek Scoogle or a Garrett Crochet. So yeah, all those guys are on the table, and probably one or two of these Dodgers starters that we've seen make their major league debut over the last couple of years. So you're believing, David, we're going to see them really go for it as opposed to, you know, kind of let's get these guys healthy coming back and see what happens. They're
not going to play the waiting game. As the deadline approaches, They're going to be very very active, and if that includes giving up some guys, they're willing to do that. Huh. That's my understanding, Rodney Andrew Friedman. I think the Dodgers showed during the offseason that they're all in on twenty twenty four in the next few years by what they did and committing a lot of dollars to players, not just for this year, but guys like last
now Yamamoto Otani, over the course of the next five years. It's pretty clear the Dodgers are all in Dave, what do we think about Yamamoto? Will he come back? That's still uncertain Fred and I don't believe we're going to get any clarity until after the trade deadline, because if it is more serious than what we're led to believe, the Dodgers don't want to give away that leverage to other teams. So I feel like after July thirtieth, we'll
have a little bit more clarity. But as of now, Uh, there's a chance that he could come back at some point in time in August or September. But like I said, there's so much uncertainty with his injury. There's really been no details given out about the timeline for him except that he's playing catch a little bit. That doesn't mean a lot these days. Day we did a lot of talk about pitching and what they're going to add, and you know, you know, dealing with the Tigers, dealing with the
White Sox maybe for trade. What about position players? I mean, the bottom of lineup obviously has been something of concern all season long. Are there other guys out there. I know Tommy fam was mentioned several times last month or so. Are there other position players that the Dodge may go after outside of pitching? Right it looks like they're focusing on maybe another outfield bat. Rodney Randia Rose Arena's name has been out there. Luis Roberts name has been
out there as well. They are looking to shore up the bottom third of that order and even be able to add depth to their outfield where they can platoon Andy pa Has and Jason Hayward out there in right field. So there's a lot of different ways that Dodgers can go for that for that bat. And I guess you know, I'm here at Dodgers Stadium. I'm watching Max Munsey do very little as far as drills go right now with Dino Evil.
Are the Dodgers in the market for a third baseman or a player that can play third base until Munsey comes back, because he said on a podcast yesterday that his body is not responding and he's had multiple setbacks. So has the Dodgers' focus changed from the outfield to third base or is it a situation where starting pitching is number one and outfield and a third baseman could be one A or two A and two B. And is there a possibility, David,
in your opinion that they would trade for more than one pitcher. I mean, if you're starting staff is basically two people now, and you want to make a run, I mean, you're going to need more pitching. Could they do that without a doubt? Jack Flaherty's name has been linked to the Dodgers as well. He's pitching for the Tigers. He was a name that the Dodgers considered during the off season. So Jack Flaherty, Trek Scoubele, you could get two guys from one team and call it a day right there.
As far as you're starting pitching needs go. Uh. They the word that Mookie's out there taking some ground balls and and uh at shortstop. Is there any talks of him possibly coming back when he does come back, playing second base and leaving Rojas at shortstop or is there has there been any conversations to that effect of him when he comes back, he's going to go back
to play a shortstop. Well, the Dodgers have not committed one way or the other, because a lot can happen, as you guys know, between now and whenever Mookie Betts comes back after you know, the first couple of weeks of August. So they're not going to box themselves in. But certainly, if Miguel Rojas is healthy, you would imagine that the Dodgers are going to continue with Miguel Rojas at shortstop. Hey, Jay, do you get
nervous when you do TV? I'll just get some butterflies spread. If you don't have butterflies, you shouldn't be here, right, don't know if you're in natural what are you talking about? Man? You do it? Well? Come on, yeah, come on, Dave. You do that in your sleep, brother, And you know what? And now you know, Dave, you don't have to work as hard doing TV as you're doing radio. Yes, I've started to figure that out. Fred. Radio is the
heavy lifting part. But I love it because it gives you a blank canvas for a longer period of time. Yeah, and it also allows you and I'll just you know, be honest here. It allows you to do the kinds of things you do and spend the time you do and get to know everybody and break stories. And because you're really there in it every day, TV can just kind of float in with all due respect, I did it. I know now I understand why you've why you're so stressed free Fred,
Yeah, I'm the most relaxed guy in the world now, Dave. But thanks appreciate out there playing bingo every other night, Dave. He's playing bingo with the with the blue hairs with the dragon queen. All right, Yeah, they've had fun tonight. Do well. We're proud of you. All right, thank you guys. Have a great weekend. All right, there you go, David Vasse. Don't you realize, seriously, don't you realize
a rod You've done TV, so you get it. You know, you understand if you're doing radio, it is a heavy lift, it is. You really have to be prepared. Now. You know, people might not agree with every single thing we say. That's fine, and some people might think we're at it's that's fine too, but we're ready. We're ready to go every day, but are allowed to elaborate and you, like you said,
you'd better be prepared about it. And TV it's really soundbites. You got ten seconds, you got fifteen seconds to get your point across, and you really can't elaborate about it. And so it's yeah, it's a whole different muscle to do radio as opposed to TV. Yeah, I mean TV show up, Say hello, what's going on? Got a minute? Good? All right? Tell me how you're gonna play tonight. Perfect, that's twenty five seconds. I'll feed that in right now. All right, okay,
all right there he goes back to you, Bob. What are they seven in the press box tonight? Let me get up there to eat. Yeah, TV's very different. Radio is a lot requires more work, and Dave, Dave is actually outstanding it both and we appreciate him coming on today. All right, we have these tickets to give away. We're not doing it now, but we'll do it soon. We're not doing it now, but we'll do it soon. Oh. By the way, you may not be aware of this, but you know, and I have a study that
will confirm it. But if you listen to this program, it could help you live longer. We'll explain. Yeah, let's go, Katie, come on, what are we doing? Come on, Roddy, Pete, Fred Rogan, private chats. Let's keep it moving here on a Friday, because we don't care now say hello, no, no, no, no, we don't care Fridays, we don't care. Anything goes, we throw caution into the wind. Anything goes, we just don't care. We don't care. And that's why it should be. On Friday, we're all getting ready
for the weekend and getting fired up. You know, you may not know this, but listen to this program on a daily basis could do something that will help you live longer. And I'm not exaggerating, could help you live longer. Here's why Klaudita was study and I follow these things all the time because Rodney, I read more than you can imagine. I look things up.
I read all the time. I look for interesting factoids. And they did a study, and the study was done in the UK, and according to the study, people that a attend a live sporting event are more satisfied with their lives, They feel their lives are more worthwhile, and they're less lonely than people who if not. Do you buy that people that attend live
sporting events, yes, said yeah, I'll buy that. Buy that because there's a sense of there's a sense of community and sense of camaraderie when you're at a live sporting event that you're collectively out for the same goal, rooting for the same outcome, and it brings a certain joy to your body and those endorphins kick in. And I believe it. It makes it a positive experience that you can enjoy and your body feels that and reacts to it. Yes, I agree, all right. Survey also says if you don't go
to a live event, don't go to a dead one. But if you don't go to a live event, you know, if you watch sports on TV or online, it can be good for your well being. Research shows people who watch sports TV internet also less depressed than those who did not, and depressive symptoms were even less. Like you for those who watch sports with increasing frequency, it's good for you. It makes a body good. I
like that. I like that. I agree with that wholeheartedly. And if that's the case, so I just kind of transferred into what we do. If in fact that's the case, and watching is good or attending is good, then talking about it must be the best because you have more time to talk about it than anything. Yeah. Yeah right, And if that's the case, then you would come here and talk about it. So again, we can save your life. We can prolong your life. And I'm not
just saying it, I have research to prove it. It's factual, Doctor Fred. You know what we should do a segment called doctor Fred eight six, six, nine eighty seven two five seventy. Yeah, if you'd like to ask doctor Fred a question, feel free. We will help you. Doctor right. Why don't we start a segment like that because people have questions, they need advice. I can kind of serve as a life You call
yourself doctor Fred without being official doctor. Yeah. If I call myself like dtr doctor not doctor doctor Phil, does it, then doctor Phil a real doctor doctor of the mic. Right, then doctor but he has a pH d. Doctor Phil, I don't think he does. You know what I'll be. I'll be the answer man. I'll be the answer man. I won't be a doctor. I'll be the answer man. If you have a
question, you can call me and I will help you. I'm sort of a life if you can be going doctor J. I don't think had A was an official doctor doctor J. No, although when I did a story and asked somebody who was doctor J, they thought he was a gyn of coologist. So yeah, we should start that next week. The answer man, the answer man, and you know what, we'll expand it. You can call and ask you know What of is a question? Because we both
have a different life experts, right, we come from different places. The answer the answer man write a question somebody would ask you, I might answer differently, or if they ask me, you might answer differently because of our life experiences. We just want to give back to the people. Is that what you're saying. That's why we're here. People don't understand to give back
to the people. We would actually do this for free, just so we can be with the people and talk to the people and make this a haven for the homeless. We want everybody to come and join for the homeless, that's right, right. We don't want you to be lonely. We want you to be with us. I mean because in our own minds we're very lonely and very depressed people. So it's good to have like minded people with us. Are you speaking for yourself? Do you need help? He does?
Are you crying out right now? Katie? What do you think I mean? He sounds like he's I feel like he's crying out little. Do you think he maybe went to Costco and got that emergency food and now he's in his bunker alone and regrets it. Yes, I don't know. What's going on with him. No. Look, all I'm trying to say is this that we appreciate our listeners and we like them to be a part of the show. And we have research that says listening to this show, going
to sporting events is good for you. And if that's the case, then we're doing well. I mean, actually, we're doing God's work. That's what we're doing. We're doing God's work. We're here for the people. All right. You could be father Fred, Father Fred. I could be father Fred. Sure, father Fred, Father Fred knows yeah, father Fred. And if it's father Fred, then what we'll do is you can call
and confess. Oh gosh, it'll be like a confessional. You can call and confess to do and it will make it will take you know what, It'll take a huge load, a huge weight off your shoulders. You'll feel much better about yourself. Thanks, father friend. Okay, if anybody wants to confess, even during the high coup, call, if you want to confess, and Vicker's doing the high coup, I will put you on and
you can confess. Yes, Kevin, we're doing it right because the people demanded, the people wanted Kevin. The people have spoken I'm sick of you know what. We're not putting up with it anymore. Rodney, you sound like that movie? Was it called Network? Right now? I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore. Howard beal a network and die too. Fred, No, I think he got shot at the end. I think he got shot. He didn't just keel over. I think at
the end of the final scene he got shot. Right. He was delivering some sort of I don't know impassion to plea. But they put this show on the network with I'm extremists from another country and they knew it, and they had him talking. The guy shot him and that was it. Faye Dunaway was in that movie. Yeah anyway, Yeah, remember Faye down Away. I do. That's a good movie. I think I went to the Academy Award. Yeah, it was very good, very network. All right.
Do we need spirituality? We do desperately? After that? Okay, well, just trying to you know, after that, Fred Rant father Fred, doctor Fred answer man, Kevin, Can I be father Fred? Going forward? They gotta be very disrespected with the corsyd till now? Okay, thanks for that. Let's bring on Victor Brick with the daily high coup At two and Victid afternoon, somebody text me and said, what the f is Fred? Saying? You know what, Rodney? You know what Rodney?
I have to tell you. Can I just be really honest for a minute. Yeah, I'm always honest, but now I'll do it for a minute. Of course. I just completed my first come. I sent it to Kevin. Oh you did. I've done a TV commercial and I've just seen the TV commercial and I'm a little I'm not sure. I'm a little off now after seeing what it turned out to be. Okay, you want me to send it to you? The finished product is not what you thought it was. Yes, I'm not sure. Okay, do you want me to
send it to you? Yeah? Please, I'll send it to you, all right, Hello, Vick. He's the doctor of the dojo, as he only goes forward in the sumo TATCHI of Fred Rogan. Yeah no, yeah, he pushes, he thrusts. Rob Yeah VTB we say, Rodney more of a pusher or a thruster. I'm a little bow friend, a little bit equal opportunity. I got you. His grand champion is baby, oh Kevin Vegas Now or come on now. Yeah. And then for Ronnie, her signature move is bolt up. Okay, you Newton bolt up?
WHOA Hi, it's me Katie. Do that, Katie. It's me and Dodger fans. I'm feeling you positive vibe from David Vassa. It's great that Joe Kelly is back tonight against the Boston Red Side at the Ravine. That's that's fabulous news. You know. Butcher's the bullpen a little bit. And of course Clayton Kershaw stretching out the four innings tonight in Oklahoma City. That's a stirred rehab start, so you know he's coming back. And d Stone's
going tonight no more to TBD is a Tiger starting pitcher. Do you say G Stone or d Stone? G Stone? Okay, I thought they traded for another guy, d Stone, Morongo Casino, Dodges on ticket six for Tim Kates, first pitch from the Stoner at seven ish right here, I am he doesn't want to be known as that. You can't do that, big no that he doesn't want to be known as the Stoner. Listen, let's face it. The Azul pitching staff is shatt it. Andrew friedmanhell president
a baseball op, says Azul all In. And we know the top tier of pitchers out there, the Crochets, the Tigers, Tyreek Schooble, the hated Ones, Blake snell I got a sleeper on the margins for you. Are you ready? Yeah? Who is it? The guy through a perfect game just last year for the New York Yankees, Domingo harm On. He's now a free agent, he's tackled personal issues. I think it's worth a few phone calls on Domingo. He's not the top of the rotation guy.
That Darja secret worth a shot. No, well, he said they need a top of the rotation guy. And where's Domingo been the last year and a half. I'm not sure. I just remember Domingo through the perfect game and it kind of went into obscurity. But who knows where he is now. Ronnie James Fellas back to back career highs for the nineteen year old son of Lebron thirteen points last night, five boys, three assists, two blocks, Tree and the Summer League Lakers played some lockdown d in that fourth quarter

Well, we all know it's Japan's number one green tea. That's all you need to know. You don't even know what to be it, don't It doesn't even matter what it calls. Broke right. It's Japan's number one green tea available at your local Dai Sho, Amazon and etan dot com. That's I t O E N dot com. That's all you need to

Rodney would call her number, call her number five. That's five. All right, let's bring it back for the home stretch. Rodney, Pete, Fred rogan Vic the brick Jacobs and Fred. Yes, I saw the commercial. What do you think a little play on dragnet? Is that what we're doing? A little dragnet? Is you
got it? How many peas did you say in that commercial? All right? Now, just be I mean, I'm a popper, a pimping a popping and a pool. Yeah, right, didn't to be honest, was it bad? M m m? It was uncomfortable? Okay? So I felt the same way. It was my idea, but they didn't execute it the way I had hoped, right, and I felt the same way. I swear to God on my kids' lives, I felt the same way. So we showed it some people to get their take on it, you know,
because I want to run it here. That's gonna run during the Olympics. They're gonna run it. People laughed, every single one of them, and I went, are you sure this is funny? I mean, do you really think this is funny. Oh my god, this is great, this is great, And I'm like, Okay, I thought I thought, what you thought? Is that the real general manager, the owner of the toy dealership. Yeah, clearly not an actor. I thought exactly what you thought. No, No, this is a I went, okay, that's
what you want. But good, that's what you're going for, let's do it. I wanted an authentic response. Thank you. I knew I wasn't insane. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Kevin, what's wrong? What is wrong? Kevin? You don't even seem like you're having a good time today. I haven't said anything. All of those are working. I'm just saying, you don't even look like you're having a good time. Are you having a good time today? I've made a phenomenal times right, all right,
Vic, go ahead before here's You're a natural. I'm sure it was big stop up fingers and all sorts of stuff. You direct their faid, I wasn't doing anything. I'm sitting here aiting stuff for the show, sitting their chakes over to Dave Wilice. You know working? Can I work? You go back to work. Fine, you'll look at your commercial later, Fred, you'll look at it later. I didn't say, and to look at it, I will. No, No, I don't want you to think to me, I have a chance to look at it. I don't.
Don't. Don't look at it. Rodnie already told me what I needed to know. Get ready, Kevin, don't look at it now. Rodney already told me that was enough. I go ahead, Vic fred As I said, you're a natural, I would worry about it. Well, you haven't seen it, Vict, That's true. He can always reshoot it. No, too late for that, Vic, That's right. I'll tell you it's
too late. The Clippers too late with Russell Westbrook. I just wanted to vent how much I dig and Doug Russell Westbrook as a Clipper on his way to Denver. Even the Joker said he's good to run with Russ And why not? I mean he balls with passon on every possession he came off the bench. That was instant energy. I don't get it. Apparently didn't fit in with the new Clipper away, but there were CONCERTI shot nineteen percent from
the field during the playoffs. His energy when he came off the bench lifted a squad. There's so few few dudes playing basketball like Russell Westbrook. I mean, he's a nine time All Star. Can still you know, drive to the hoope with incredible reckless, crazy abandon play solid defense. Anyway, It's wild now. But the only LA flavor left with the vision that Steve
Bomber had with the LA guys leading the Clippers to a crown. You got the Beard and you got Kawhi. The Clippers are five and zero in some league. Who knew, who cares? Really some league is irrelevant, but they are five and Oh Jordan Miller is getting a lot of points in some league. Jordan Miller for the Clippers. Meanwhile, Tiger, did you guys watch some British Open today? Didn't? Did not? Missed his third straight
major cut. Tiger Woods finished fourteen over at the World trun A'scarbland seventy nine seventy seven double bogie today's second hole. Then he went into the rabbit hole, the vicious wins the Tough Links course. Tiger played the postage stamp hole, return to sender address unknown, no such number, and Tiger be gone ugly thirty six holes to tiger Woods Tough Course overs. That was a very difficult course. Yes, Larry is your leader. The Englishman, but over

So he'll quickly Asayama Waka taka kage fellas four and one through five days. He is no saft yes, no

He's four in one, Oshama four and one. Young blood Mongolian is four and one. He beat out show you, which is a stunter. He showed him here, what was crazy? O Ho Kimboson bad blood with O Hoo staring down kim Boson after the victory and O Ho very mellow, dude. You know, you know
some wrestlers are stoic. They don't show emotions, but there was bad blood after this match. Oh Ho staring down kim Bosan. I was looking he was cursing Kim Boson as he left the dojo. Very unusual for O Ho. It's a very physical match. So something went down in that match. Even the announcers didn't No, but O Hoo went wild. The Flying Monkey's having a fabulous first five days. Toby Zaru beat Mays. So he's four and one. Constant motion by the Flying Monkey, constant and you know where
that leads is to Vic exactly. Fred just wanted to let you know that the yokazuna keeps winning. Taranafuji is five and no. He looks very tough. Taranafuji five and in the first five days love it. So a lot of yen is on Taranafuji. That's where I'm putting my y Sure you're telling me, And don't forget petrol. Somebney show El Segundo in full effect. Rock and Bruce, It's going to be wild today. Incredible prizes. Get
