All right, here we go with a big Friday show, Fred Rogan, Rodney Pete on a five seventy LA Sports. It's Friday. We don't care. I mean, well, we care about you, but you know, Friday, we get ready for the weekend and get ready to have a good time. And that being said, Rodney, Ronnie has suggested I just tell you a story. Oh oh he did. Yeah, he just told me you should tell that story on the air. So anyway, at the top of the show every day before we come on, Oh, you're blaming Ronnie.
No, no, I'm not blaming Ronnie. I'm blaming Ronnie for telling the story. But I'm not blaming Ronnie for this. Oh yeah, but you're telling the story. If you know, then it's on Ronnie first, it's on ronniey day. You tell it. Okay, Ronnie, Well, you know, Rodney, let me just preface it by saying it's a tip
typical Fred's story. It can only happen to Fred Rogan. Okay, okay, all right, So what happened was we always have a tease, you know, right before we call in here, Colin ends said something very witty and then we jump in for like two minute and set up the show. And just before, about a minute and a half before we were going to do the te's today, I sent a text in the group text and I said, I can't make the teas and Rodney, thank you for handling it.
I appreciate you. Here sure all right? And you know, well, why why didn't you make the teas? Because when I sat down and got fired up, here, Ronnie goes, are you okay? I said, no, I'm fine. He said, well, why didn't you make the tea's Because I got locked in the bathroom. That's why I got locked in the bathroom. And then I realized what time it was. Then I realized I might not make it out in time. So I texted and said, can you do the te's? That's why I missed the teas. I
got locked. You got locked in the bathroom when some unlocked you in the bathroom. Well, it's see here, it's different, you know, in some regards it's well it's not modern at all. So in no regards as it modern anyway, it's not even kind of It's like a house bathroom. If you go into the house and you lock the door, you're in the bathroom, not like in a business. There's one of these kinds of bathrooms here. It's right down the hall. And also if you need to take
a shower for whatever reason, you can take one in there. Although I would never take a shower in that bathroom. Okay, anyway, I go in. There's two doors. There's the door to go in, and then there's the door to the rest of the bathroom. My mistake was the door, the first door somehow jammed and I couldn't get out. I couldn't get out of the bathroom. So somebody came with a key and opened it from the outside and then I could get out. And that's what happened. That's
why I was late. So I'm sorry I got locked in the bathroom. Did you follow that, Kevin, I'm trying to understand how you get locked in? Okay, you locked inside of a bathroom? Oh yeah, Oh here's why. Here's why. Okay, all right, No, it's fair, it's fair. It's fair. You go into your bathroom in your house, you close the door. There's a lock, right, you turn so far. Yeah it's locked. So you're good. Now you're in the bathroom. Nobody can come in. If they come in, they'll realize the door
is locked. When you walk out of the bathroom, you walk up to the door and you twist the thing in and unlocks and you walk out. Is that fair? Does that make sense so far? Is everybody on the same page here. That's how you do it. You ulick the lock to get out. You unlock the lock to get out. Pretty simple. Okay, all right, fine. I went to unlock the lock and the lock wasn't unlocking. So I was twisting you know, the little thing you go like this. I'm turning it like this, and it's not coming out.
It's not turning, it's not working. So then somebody came from the outside with a key, put it in the door, turn the key, the lock opened, and I came out. That's what happened. It would not unlocked from the inside. I don't know why, now I understand, but that's why I was late for the te's and I think I need to be transparent and let you know that and thank you for doing the teas. Okay, okay, uh question where you How nervous were you in the bathroom?
Okay, here's the thing. I'd for a while. The only reason I was nervous is because I knew the show was starting. If the show wasn't starting, I you know, I wouldn't have sweated at all. Somebody finally would have let me out. But I knew we were starting here, and I'm pretty prompted on time normally. Yeah, that was bothering me. Sure you are, so that was bothering you more so than you were. Just afraid for your life that you are locked in the bathroom. Well, and
there's this. I gotta be honest, if you're going to be locked in any bathroom, nobody wants to be locked in the bathroom. Nobody wants to be locked in the bathroom in a business. They don't want that. But you especially don't want to be locked in that bathroom because that is just it's not good. I'm just saying it's not good. Okay. Yeah, No, I think we've all been in situations and experiences where the uh, the
bathroom situation, public bathroom situation was not ideal. Look at it like this, Do you really want to go to the bathroom at seven to eleven? No, you don't. Or a gas station seventy six, No, you don't. Let me tell you another one to avoid Taco bell, don't go to those Yeah, all those Taco Bell McDonald's. Yeah, those those bathrooms like yeah, and they officially had to start putting locks on those for customers
because you know, anybody would come in there and use those bathrooms. I almost beat my kids life out of him when he RJ when he was younger using one of those bath I think it was a McDonald's might have been one of those, using those that bathroom, just going in there, willy nilly, you know, I'm going to use it. And it was not number one, he say. I said, this is a lesson for your risk your life not ever you're in a public bathroom. You hold it. We'll
get you some diapers or whatever you need. But you are not doing that in a public bathroom. Because kids, they don't always know. He was really young, so he doesn't always know to put the you know, the cover on the seat and all nine and all that kind of stuff. They just look at it, and maybe they even lucky if they even try to wipe it down. But they look at it and go, Okay, I'm just got I gotta go right right. No, No, you don't, you don't got to go. You know you actually is very disturbing. It's
very disturbing. Yeah, it's traumatizing. Yeah. I mean the only time you should do that is if you're in bad shape. Yeah, like your insides are gonna explode. Yeah, you're in pain. You gotta do that. And then the same thing you gotta do what women do? You gotta hover? Right, you ho her? You have her? Have you ever been in the bathroom? You go into the bathroom after you know, you wait and wait and wait and go in the bathroom and you wait and wait
and wait and you get in that bathroom and it's so disgusting. It's so disgusting. Yet you do it and you come out and there people waiting. You're like, I don't want them to think that was me exactly time. So what do you do in that situation? You trite it, clean up a little bit, or you just let it go and say that wasn't me when you walk out. You do what you can. You do what you can. It's like if you have to go to Crypto, if you have to go there, yeah, you it's it's bad. You don't want to
go in those stalls there, No, you don't want to go. Can I tell you the weirdest, weirdest What do you do me? Yes, if you put my head down here, here's what I do. I put my head down and walk in the determined matter out of there. Yes, I'll turn into the town's crier when I walk out. It was not me, I swear all let me say, somebody dropping you get there, man, wasn't me? All right? When you may not want to go use
this one, I'm telling you it wasn't me. But I'm just letting you know that was not to me. Yeah, I do the same thing. Yeah, But the problem is, if you're the last one in there, no one's gonna buy that, Rodney or or what I'll do is I'll go in there and we're like, damn, who was in here before me? I say it really loud so the people know that I witnessed that when I first walked solid, very solid. I had to repent at church one time
years ago, and I walked in. I literally walked into the church bathroom and say, hell no, I'm not Catholic. I have to do confessional that though. I'm sorry. So what are you going to say? Oh no, I'm going to tell you a bathroom story that's going to trouble you, okay, and it will probably trouble everybody listening. But I think it's important that we don't hear the story. We're already on the topic. Not No, this is a different kind of thing. Okay, So I ever
tell you about the I know that that's the line. He starts, Get the T shirts made up. We've never heard this story before. No, no, just tell you about the all right. Have I ever told you about the story of Josh Rogan and the airport bathroom? Have I ever told you guys the story? No? No, not heard that? All right? So anyway, I can't remember where he was flying. The airport was not Burbank or La X. Okay, So he's in another city, and this is the God's truth. So they got off the plane. You know,
he's got to go to the bathroom. He goes to the bathroom. He comes out of the stall. He looks there is a guy standing there staring direct lean into the mirror, his pants pulled down. He's got you know what you would dry your hands with one of those paper towels. He is washing hiss, yes, washing them, looking into the mirror, and then drives them off. Pants pulled down middle of the bathroom, looking into the mirror, washing his privates, drying his privates, then pulls his pants
back up. That happened. That is disturbing. What did Josh do? He didn't know what to do. Fred was there only one sink? No, there were multiple sinks. So Josh didn't wait to go around that guy. There were multiple sinks. But he looked at him. He wondered if he should say something, and then he walked out. What would you do if you saw that? Because that actually happened. What would you do? What would you say? I would say nothing and just keep it moving and
we keep having Yeah, what would you say? Uh and say, yeah, I'm just gonna I'm gonna wash my hands at another another place and get out of there real quick. Or it depends on what mood I'm in, because if I'm in one of those mood because you said it's at the airport, right, Yeah, the airport can put you in a certain mood, right, depending if your flane's laid, you're delayed, or whatever, so
you can it can it can mess with your mood a little bit. If I'm in one of those moods, I might say, come on, man, come on, come on, man, you can't be doing that. And here, what are you doing? I might, I might come at him like that, but I think in most cases I would probably just walk home by. God walk home by. Uh yeah, I would have just probably walked on by. But there have been occasions where I've you know, got a witness people doing some odd things in there, and I walked on
by. But there's been other occasions where I've said, come on, man, come on, what are you doing? What are you doing? And the same kind of thing the guy was doing, he was doing a similar thing, but with the blower. No, he wasn't. But but but he didn't have his pan, he didn't have his pants all the way down he had I think he had urinated on his pants, and he was trying to clean him. And he was standing in the corner and he was bob doing his thing, trying to hold it up to the blower, the heat
blower. Who's got worst bathrooms? Women are men? Men? I bought that too. All right. You ever walked on a women's a women's bathroom? Have you? On accident? Yes? By accident? I have, yes, If I have too, Yeah, I've walked, you know, because I at times I'm mindless. I have walked into women's bathrooms. Fortunately, uh there have not been women in there. One time there were women in there and I looked at him and I said, what are you guys doing in here? And they said, this is our bathroom. Oh,
I'm sorry. I made a mistake. I didn't know because I was just mindless. No, those are very different. Those are kept up better, they're cleaner. Yeah, right, they are. When they're not, they're disgusting, That's what That's what Ali said. Yes, I told me that, as he said that, you know, you get the you don't get in between, you get where. You know bathrooms are they kept to keep them pretty clean, and then when they're bad, they are absolutely disgusting,
he said. She said, it's ten times worse than a man, ten times worse than the man. I would have no idea. Wow. Yeah, okay, listen for any of our listeners men that oftentimes going to the women's bathroom, can you call and tell us disgusting? Hey, what's your worst bathroom story? It's Friday, we need to hear it. We'll tell you. Lauren and I went to Talo Steakhouse downtown. A couple of years ago maybe, and the bathrooms it doesn't say men women, it says yin
yang. And I dumb ass didn't know the difference at the time. I literally sit out there for forty five seconds, like looking at it. Yeah, when do I go? I set foot for a half a second into the end, I was like, yep, that's the wrong one. Have you ever been in the ones where it's community wash up area? Yeah, yeah, there's been installed, but it's community when you wash up are Those are not good too? No restaurants have those now, you know, really
fancy restaurants or going to that kind of thing. Uh huh yeah, like a communal sink wash area and then just a second place for the for you to do your thing. I don't like that. Yeah, I don't like it. I don't like them because everybody used to do their business in private. I don't know. You the volume you can hear. You can hear us talking and hunting and all those things, and men tend to let it, let it really go. Before you got this guy's going there to start,
they close that door. Boy, It's like, whoa damn man, what are you doing? Well, it's Friday? What did you eat? Look at Kevin's face Holly to start the show Fridays Friday, Baby Friday, Yeah, the Big Friday Show. Now on the Friday Show. Today we have Fount and Blue again, that's great. We got the two night state the Pount and Blue in Las Vegas. How we how we got this? Wait, Rodney, how we got this two days in a row? I don't know. I don't either. I don't know why they do. They
let us do something which is great. We actually have the Cool Prize to give away today, so we're gonna do that between now and three o'clock. We also, that's not all we have today. We got the Spotlight on Blue segment and that is presented by Spotlight twenty nine Casino, Eric Dickerson's favorite casino in the Coachella Valley. We have two tickets to see Todd Rungren, So we had a lot of stuff to give away. Love it and what we'll do because we all know how that first segment went. When we come
back, we'll actually restart the show. But before we do that, we have to talk about something that's right. They don't you know this week to call Jacob and Morani. Call Jacob right, because if you're injured in an accident you've been through just like we talked about, a very traumatic experience. Here's It's good Jacob's spot is here because what we just discussed. I think many people should call Jacob if they if they encountered anything like we did,
because they have suffered a person injury. Your body is trying to recover, that's right. Your mind is racing. You need to see the doctor. A lot of confusing phone calls for it and sounds and eventually medical bills and more headaches. Hey, so if you're injured in an accident, just remember one thing called Jacob. Instead of dealing with everything yourself, make one call
to Jacob and let him handle the rest. Jacob will guide you through the process and on top of all that, he'll also fight to get you the settlement you deserve. You should take it easy, don't stress. Let Jacob deal with the rest. Remember a lot of attorneys say they'll fight for you. Oh, you call Jacob and he'll win for you. Call him eight four four twenty fourth Jacob eight twenty fourth Jacob, Or visit called Jacob dot com and make sure you're following. Call Jacob on Instagram, go to at
call dot Jacob for great advice, prizes and more. Call Jacob. Okay, now we'll get started. It's cover. We got that, how far check? I have to be really honest, Kevin. It's Friday, so I'm not gonna pull any punches. This is the kind of show. When we go to the break, we hear from Kevin. I don't know what you guys are doing. I don't know what you're thinking of. Is this how you want to start a show. I'm not gonna say anything. Fred, have to go to the bathroom, so you can just go to I
will get to the Dodgers next. We absolutely positively do not care. Rodney Pete, Fred Rogan on a Friday, A beautiful Friday. I might add beautiful Friday again. You do it out there, Fred, I don't know if anybody's called in about their bathroom stories. You know what I know we might have to have a like several screeners on these calls. We think the problem is if anybody did call in, I don't think Ronnie's gonna answer because it's Friday and he doesn't care. You got that right, Fred, Yeah,
she doesn't care. So Eiter, if you call, he's not gonna answer. I don't think the boss would take kindly to us taking bathroom calls. I don't think that's a good weight in the week. Do you want to take the heat? Boys in there not? On a Friday, Spotlight I'm Blue presented by Spotlight twenty nine Casino, Eric Dickerson's favorite spot in the Coachella Valley. It'll be quick and then they're back on the road again. But Rodney, interesting, here we are in the season. Yeah, and people are starting to write, okay for October. By the way, it's the end of May. But for October, here's what the club needs to do. Here are some changes they need to make for October. At the end of May.
Yeah, And what I'm thinking is it's a little soon for that to start determining now what you'll need in October. It's a little early, extremely early, extremely early. But listen, given what has happened in the last five years with this team, you know, having pretty much been the favorite for those last five years to win it and then only getting one out of it.
I think the anticipation and people feeling anxious about what happens in October because it hasn't been great and we've had our you know, Dodger fans has had their heart broken or ripped out that they are looking to October. If they could fast forward, If Dodger fans could fast forward the clock and put us right into October right now, they probably would foregoing the summer. They would probably say, you know, whatever summer plans I got, I might be
traveling around the world this summer, but I would forego all that. Put me in October right now so I can see where the Dodgers land. They would do that because it's all leading up to October. So I get where they're coming from. But you still got to play season out. You still got to play the season out. And the way the baseball goes, there's ebbs and flows. It's one hundred and sixty two games. Guys get hot, guys get cold, Guys stay in the middle. There are slumps with
teams, sumps with slumps with individual players. You gotta let it play out because like we say all the time, when it comes September October time, it is about, first of all, who's good enough to get there. But you gotta be playing the best baseball, and you gotta get hot, you gotta be playing well, and the only way to do that is continue
playing together. This is a there's a lot of new faces on this team, and so you got to you got to allow for some of that time to kind of play out so these guys get settled in, even if it's not. It's not you know, all nine positions, but there are new faces on the pitching staff, hitting in the field. So it's not just gonna happen overnight. I don't care how much money a guy's making, and I don't know how how talented it is. It's gonna take some time for
a team to totally gel. All right, So but we have to let's say, we have to. We have to decide right now what changes need to be made for October because there's a gun to our head and we have to make a decision. Let me give you some things we need to do. Okay, we got to show up that bullpen. Got to show up the bullpen. Are we talking doing it? Now are we talking about the trade deadline? This is what we got to do a trade dead No, I'm saying people are saying, right now, what do we need to do?
And of course we only need to worry about it as we get closer to October. But if we have to do it right now today, here's what we have to do. Got to shore up the bullpen, got to get another starting pitcher. And by the way, we've got to make sure there are guys in the bottom of the bottom of the batting order that hit. That's what we have to do now. If we're to be honest, that's the same conversation you have every single year about what you must do.
It's the same conversation when we get to the trade deadline. Let me tell you, well, they can use another rominat bullpen. How do I know that because we say the same thing every year, and by the way, every team says that exactly. All right, you know what else we need, Ronnie, You we gotta get a guy that can a workhorse a stop, or we gotta get a guy that go out there and give us eight innings. We've got to have that guy length starting a starter they can give
us some lengths. Yeah, you know what, you say the same thing every year, and then what else do we need to do? We got to show up that batting holder. I mean, we got some guys that aren't hitting. We got to get some veterans in here that know how to play in the postseason that can hit. It's the same thing every year. Yes, it's the exact same conversation every year. Every year we say the exact same thing. So when you are saying, what's the biggest need the
Dodgers have, I just answered it. And I don't even know if that will be the case or not, but that's what you're gonna be saying. It's way too soon to make decisions on that kind of thing. It's way too early to start trying to put those puzzle pieces together. Absolutely, Look, it's been a blessing because glass Knell has come out of the gate and
he's been pretty phenomenal. Right even in the other day when they you know, Dodgers ended up coming back and winning that game, but he was down too old, but he he pitched a very good game and has pitched pretty much a very good game and most of them is outing. So he's been a Blessing. You don't think Yamamoto is gonna start figuring it out and coming around with his talent, all right, So he's another one that's gonna get it going. Walker Buehler, you don't think he's gonna, you know,
work himself back into form. So you're gonna bring somebody in to replace those those guys. If you're saying, Okay, starting pitch, we gotta get ed No, no, you're not. And then on top of that, wanna get Joe Kelly back. You're gonna get graderol back. You're gonna get Evan Phillips back. You got guys coming back that had performed for you. So this this thing in June first that we need to make dramatic changes. Absolutely not, absolutely not, Max Mounts, he's gonna come back. Talk
about bottom of the lineup or towards the end of the lineup. I know he's probably a fifth or sixth hitter, and what do we do six through nine? Right? So you know, you start the season, you think, okay, this is this season for Gavin Lux to do his thing. And he and you know he's got enough talent to turn his situation around. No one expected CT three to be this bad right off the gate, right and based on his contract and what has been told to us, he's not
going anywhere. He's still You're gonna continue to get in the bats from time to time. Maybe he gets it going, but it's not time to panic and say let's change everything, because you still have some quality play on his team that you don't want to get rid of. At this point, you just don't know and you have no idea where you bring in is going to be better than what you got, right, You don't know. You don't even know what you're doing yet. I'm just being honest. I mean,
they're gonna win the division. They're in first place in the division. Now if that, if something happens there for whatever reason and all of a sudden, that's a battle, all right Now, You've got to make adjustments quickly. I don't think that's gonna happen. Don't win the division all right now, keep looking at things. You're gonna be the way you are right now. Look at the start of April to right now, this team has looked different. There have been injuries. Yeah, guys have gone to the slumps.
Some guys didn't perform, some guys performed better than expected in two months. It's very different than when it started. Bobby Miller's another one's gonna come back, right, It's very different. All right, by the end of June, it'll be different again. You need to given what this needs to be to stay the course, keep your eyes open, and stop worrying about
the adjustments. What's our biggest need. Your biggest need is everybody should hit ten home runs a game and every pitcher should go nine innings and strike everybody out. That's your big need. Now aside from that, which is not gonna happen, just give it time. You're you're in the midst of the novel. Baseball is a novel. It's not a short story. So let it play out and stop worrying about what you need to do. Ken Rosenthal said, well, you know they still need things. Yeah, they probably
do, but you don't know what they are yet. No, and just because you need them doesn't mean that person is going to be available or what you want is going to be available. Like you go through this lineup, and you go through this team and go, okay, look at my guys here, I got Max Monts he at third and maybe not the best defensive third baseman. But you want his bat, don't you? You want his bat in the lineup, You're not You're not getting rid of Mookie at shortstop,
not getting rid of Freddy at first bat? Who are you gonna bring in? Not getting rid of Freddy at first base? Right, Gavin Lucks Between Gavin Lux, Keith k Chris Taylor. You know, they've they've got guys, you know, and and even now with with Paz playing center field, you talk about depth, they still got outman that went down to the minors that that played well for you. Last year. You got task Hernandez playing in left field, who is at top a lot of categories in Major
League Baseball. I mean, you have a you have depth on his team like no other. So if you're going to go out and bring somebody in, are they going to be better than what you got? Maybe? Better right now statistically at this moment in June, for the last two weeks, maybe, But overall are they going to be better than what you've got? And they better be if you're gonna trade away some guys, are you gonna
are you gonna let some guys go? And I don't know if it's out there you know, unless there's a dominant guy out there that's like I'm at the end of my contract or I'm expiring contract or one year left, whatever it may be, that it's favorable to do a rental. And he's a bona fide guy, maybe, but just to change, just for the sake of changing, when you're still five games up in the division, come on that time to do that yet, fred I agree. So that's all I'm
saying. It's just too early. It's too early to figure out what your biggest need is because you don't know. And Dodger fans, you've lived this for years. You understand how it works. Andrew Friedman, when it's possible, does pull the trigger at the trade deadline. He does. He's not afraid to do that if he has a need to fill at that time. It's gotta make sense to be the right move. But he'll do it. Yeah. Yeah, And I remember that. I've told proven that they're not
afraid to pull the trigger. No, but those out there and older Dodgers don't pay. Yes, they do, they have. I mean, I told you about the story. I was a Channel four. We were doing the show Rodney, and I asked the Dodgers if I could talk with Andrew Friedman for television. They said sure. When they set up the little room, you know, we had a couple of cameras, and I told him point blank, people are very concerned here. You know, the club isn't
performing as the fans look like. I'm sure you're not happy. So what are you gonna do? You know what he said to me, I've never forgotten this. He looked at me. He goes, it's a little early to worry about that. No, we're not even to May thirty. First. Don't you think it's a little soon to be concerned about those things? He told me first to June. All right, now we start trying to figure things out. They're not worried about it anything until tomorrow and everybody is
talking about, well, god, what are the biggest needs? They don't know yet. They know this, they've got a team that can win it all. They know that they've got a team in the conversation, in the minds of many favor to win it all. They know this team has been up and down, suffered injuries, going on a losing streak, had a winning streak. They know that too. That's all they know they don't know anything else. They have these players for a reason. Let's not start figuring
out their weaknesses because we don't know them yet. If you get to the trade deadline and six guys are hitting O forty, you better go out and get a bat. Pretty simple. If you get to the trade deadline and your bullpen is getting lit up like Christmas morning and it's a tree, you better go get a bullpen guy when you get to the trade deadline. If all of your starters, for whatever reason, their arms fell off, you better get a starter. But you don't know that yet. Now it's way
too soon, way too soon. Make sure to tune in to Spotlight on Blue every Friday with Roddin Myself, presented by Spotlight twenty nine Casino, Eric Dickerson's favorite spot in the Coachella Valley. You don't want to get into a personal littree injury called Jacob and RANI call Jacob, all right, listen, that's on me, that's on me.
But I get overwhelmed sometimes when I think about Jacob. Not only is a good friend of ours, yes, but he is somebody that is available to all twenty four to seven. Let's do it on a Friday. Rody Pete, Fred Rogan, Let's go,
Hey, Ronnie do we know who won Todd Runggren tickets. As a matter of fact, we do fred who won Leroy Leon won those tickets to the Spotlight twenty nine to go see run Grind Leroy Leon all Roy. What's the odd that he black or Hispanic? Right? Well, with the accented Leon, he's probably Hispanic Leon, probably Expanic. I like the Leroy Leon goes you off a little bit. Well, the good news is you could say that, not mean yes, you could say maybe he's a you know,
a Jewish doctor. Yeah. I could go with that, sure, or or jeweler. Yes, I could go with that. Sure. We're giving away, thank you. We're giving away fought in Blue Las Vegas two nights. Stay stay with us. That'll happen before three o'clock. Dodgers back take Colorado on tonight at the Stadium seventy ten. You listen to every play of every game on AM five seven to LA Sports and stream all games in HD and the iHeartRadio app. The keyword A five seventy LA Sports. It's
powered by l A Care for all of La. Okay, So look, the Angels are struggling. That's not a surprise. You know what was gonna be a long year. Ron Washington, who is considered to be one of the nicest guys in baseball, God bless him. Uh yeah, you know, he took the job. He's getting paid. He's got to sit through that, and I think it's wearing on him a little bit too. He's in the what he's in the Byron Scott situation, isn't he Yeah, he's in the Byron Scott Right. He's like, Okay, Ron, we love
you. Nobody else wanted this job. You get this job, get this job. You got one superstar, right, you got one superstar. Oh, he got hurt. Unfortunately, you gotta ride the season out. Now we're in. We're in the first of June, and now you gotta ride this this way for the next four months. Unfortunately. Ron. Hey, hey, but do your best. Your all is good, and we're not gonna hold it against you. We're not gonna hold it against you. We're
not gonna hold it against you. Ron. We know what you're up against. Nice guy, so don't worry about it. Yeah. I hope he's renting and didn't buy anyway. So not only are the players struggling, some of the employees are struggling as well, yeah, yeah, the vendors down in Anaheim are upset because they're not getting their tips. They're not getting their
tips, and they kind of staged a mini walkout yesterday. They staged a walk out in front and they were very upset because they're not getting their their piece of the pie, they're tips and they had a little walkout. Now you go, well, wow, you know the Angels. No, it's not the Angel's fault. This one is not on the Angels. This one
is on Legends. Who was Legends? Well, Legends is the hospitality company run by Jerry Jones and very much like Levy Foods, Legends contracts out to certain stadiums and they handle their food service, oftentimes their premium seat service. They they are kind of the people that do that. There doesn't the Steinbrenner is a part of that too, right, I think? So how Steinbrenner the Yankees is a part of the Legends group as well. Yeah right, And you know it's it's not a bad business to be in. Yeah,
I've got those two guys. It's that hard for those guys to go in and say we want the contract for the stadium. That stadium they got a lot of it. For example, they got the contract for so far. Yeah, you know, in the dealings, in the dealings with the NFL, and you know everybody's trying to gain a vote. Jerry Jones says, I'll tell you something, Stan, you can kind on my vote, and guess what else I can deliver other people to you too. Yes, there's
all you gotta do. Jump on board the Legends train, Mark Davis. They've got them in Vegas too. Yeah, Legends. I think it's also safe to say that the food is horrific. I don't think anybody it's true. It's true. I wouldn't use them. The food's terrible. Anybody that's meant a SOFI or experience the delicacies of Angel Stadium know that. I don't know what Legends is doing, but that food's not good. It's just not fine. So anyway, these vendors work for Legends, and they're not getting
their tips and they're upset, so they staged a walk out. So Legends sent in an hr person sentiment who had absolutely zero answers to anything. Nothing. Hey, we're not getting our tips, you know what. I can't talk about that, but we're upset about this. That's an issue between you and the company. But you are the company. That's why you're here.
So they had someone supervised the people who were very upset to vendors. And let me tell you what, with all due respect, if you're stuck working in that stadium, you should be paid double just because of what you have to see every night. Whoa Freddy, You should get very happy. Pardon me, you're not making Kevin very happy. He's not lying though, That's what I'm saying. Kevin is a realist. He understands, he knows how bad it is. I think people there should get hazard as duty pay.
Yeah, the Angel should pay us to have to go into that stadium and watch that. It's like if you go down to Angels Stadium and let's say you try to sneak in and somebody catches it and says, what are you doing? Do you have a ticket? I've got the line for you. I'm supposed to be here. Do you think anybody would be here that didn't have to be just use that you think I'm trying to sneak in here? You think I'd be here if I didn't have to be here. No one
would be here if they didn't have to be here. You can use that line. Any time I've used that before, it works, doesn't work, Oh yeah, just seemed bewildered. Look bewildered, which I do on a daily basis, and just explain I'm the last guy that really wants to be here, but I am so please. I wouldn't be here if I didn't
have to just use that when you try to sneak into some word. But this is ridiculous that they it is something that they're owed and they're trying to sneak it by them and not trying to pay them what they're worth or what they're owed. You know, pay the people. You know, they're out there doing a job. They're entitled to it, so why not pay them? Fred? Why why are we having even having this discussion? Why why did it come to a walk out and strike? I don't understand. Because
they're cheap. No, that's why they're cheap people that are working at the ballpark. Let's be honest. They do it because they like it, They do it because they need to make a living. Yeah, take care of the people. Yeah, and you wouldn't function without those people there and are day in and down, and a lot of those people. You mean,
you go out the Dodgers dating Fred. You've been out there forever. I have too, And you see some of the same faces you've seen for twenty years thirty yeh, absolutely, you know the same people, same people, and they always come with a smile on their face and how you doing. And it's just pay the people, pay the people. Here's the livelihood. Yeah it is. And here's the thing it'll get. You think you're going to a game, But if you're the owner of a franchise or a company
like Legends, you know what you're in. Really, you're not in the sports business. You're in the hospitality business. Yes, that is who you are. You're in the hospitality business. And you need to welcome everyone as if they were a guest at a five star hotel. They're spending money, absolutely to come to your building, to your stadium, to your arena, and you need to treat them that way. And you know how you treat them that way by treating the people that work for you that way. When
they're happy, they're your representatives, they're your face. When they're happy, they're going to be happy with your customers. You're in the hospitality business. You can't cheap out the people who are your face, and your face are not the players. When you're at a Dodger stadium, you go to watch the players, but the face of Dodger Stadium is every single person you come in contact with that works for the Dodgers, every one of them. If
you have a question, you exchange people. The people that the ushers, you know, the people are that are bringing you your food or getting you you know, these security attendance, I mean all of those people. It's a machine that has to work the right way, and if the parts of it are not happy, then what are you doing? What are you doing as the owner of this company? You cheap out on your people, and then you wonder why fans aren't happy with the service they get. And nobody's
going to be mean on purpose. But I'll tell you one thing. Nobody's gonna go out of their way either. That's human nature. Is that somebody acting up or throwing a fit, that's human nature. You take care of me, we will take care of you. Whatever the situation is down in Anaheim, they really need to solve that. It is so unfair to those people. They're not asking for two hundred thousand dollars raises they're asking for their piece of the tips. Is that too much to ask? Really? Seriously,
the question is who's getting those tips? They're not getting them. Who's getting them? I think Jerry Jones. I mean, somebody's getting it. They're right always, in any situation foul of money, somebody's getting them and they're not. You don't really treats their employees well. And I know this because I've talked to them.
