But to hear him talk, you know, about his life and backstory, his love for his mama was pretty

large a fan base I think Rodney as anybody on that team. People just love him. Yeah, they love him. He since the moment he got got here, left came back. I mean, he has always been a fan favorite. I think you know number one, he gives it everything he's got and and you know, doctor, fans love that play this heart out, Where's it on his sleeve? And he epitomizes what being unselfish and being a Dodger's all about. So that's why fans love him. And he is

delivered for this team in big time moment. So we love some Keith k Hernandez and it'll be fun on Thursday Thursday, Hollywood Park. We expect to see you there. We've got giveaways as well. It is powered by La Care for all of La now for all of our la we go to Phoenix and welcome on David Vasse and Dave. Thanks for jumping on. Hey, great to be with you guys. And Fred I am so proud of

you. I thought you'd be drowning in tears after the Kings lost last night. So good for you to show up. Oh well, Dave, I'm not saying I'm not a bit morose in a state of depression. But they're still alive. They're still alive, and I'll tell you about that one. But now that they're alive, like the Lakers are alive now. Actually, you might be right, Rodney, but I mean they really, I don't know what else they could do last night. I mean they gave up one

goal. I don't know what else they could do, and it just proves that Edmonton could be better. Yeah, the score too, too, game, That's right, Dave, score too. It's very simple, Fred, I don't know why you're making it complicated, all right. I'm not trying to make it complicated, all right, Dave. So I would say, so far, so good. A loss in Toronto to wrap it up, but overall, just a great road trip, wouldn't you say? Yeah,

the Dodgers are back on the track. You know, they kind of fell away from who their identity was last year during that last homestand but the biggest keys to the reason why they've had a successful road trip is because not only their offense is firing on all cylinders, but also the pitching has been outstanding. And I'm not just talking about starting pitching, talking about the bullpen all of a sudden, now Alex Vesia has found something with the change up.

Ryan Brazier's fastball velocity is back to where it was last year. So right now things are going well. They're not taxing their bullpen too much considering you know, on this road trip, Landing Neck is them six. Tyler glassnow went into the seventh, Gavin Stone finished seventh, so they're getting length from their starters as well. How good does it feel for them, Dave, to see that Toddy glassnow has really settled into that ace role right now because

he is, it feels like, and he's taking the mound. All is good in Dodger Land. Yeah, you feel like he's the most dominant right hander they've had since Walker Buehler was in his prime. Right They've never had a right hander like this so overpowering, And I would argue that Glass now right now has been more overpowering just bullying people with his stuff than Walker Buehler

did at that point in time a couple of years ago. The only question you hold out for is that Glass now can continue to sustain this, because he has a history in Tampa Bay where he has a great first month but then starts to kind of lose himself a little bit. So you just hope

that he can't sustain this and stay healthy. We were all holding our breaths, or the Dodgers were holding their breath when he came out of that game on Saturday, and it turned out to be body cramping instead of just the way they described it at first, of hand cramping, because that could be a symptom of something else. No, no, it was the blister. It's just like, yeah, yeah, you were saying they were thinking it

might be a blister. On TV, it was, oh, it could be a blister, and then it turned into the cramps and then, like you said, hand cramping could be a sign of something else. So thank god it is not right because he had cramping in his calf, he said his left calf during the game, so it went from his calf to his

hands. So I just feel like he was dehydrated. He admitted he was dehydrated because last year, guys, here's another symptom of when you have finger cramping or some some you know, numbness in your fingers, that's a symptom of a problem with Dielbow. The nerve is sending a message to your fingers there's something going on. And last year O'tani left a game with a finger cramping and it turned out a month later that's when he had a torn right

ucl. So that's not the case with Tyler glassnow, just want to be clear, but that's the good news. Andy Pie has has settled in nicely. Dave. Are they impressed with what they're seeing from him? I would say so. Fred Action speaks hotter than words. He's in the lineup every day versus right he's and lefties, and teams are challenging him with a fastball and he's delivering. So right now, he's passing the first test of a

rookie. The second test will be when they start incorporating you know, spin and breaking balls, whether or not he can continue this when they start doing that to him and incorporate a new layer to the challenge of being a big league hitter. But I believe I mentioned this to you guys. I know I did on Dodger Talk. I believe after what I saw training and what he was doing in Oklahoma City, if he got this opportunity, there was no looking back for Andy Pajaz. He will not be going down to the

miners the rest of this season if he keeps this up. Yeah, he looks like he's uh. It looks like he's ready for the moment too. I think from the moment he stepped up here, it feels like he is settling in and like you say, Dave, he is not has no intention of going back down. Is this, David, what we saw or have seen so far on this this road trip. Is this kind of what we all kind of expected from the Dodgers to take two out of three in a series, three out of four in a series, be dominant for a few

of those games. Is this kind of what we expected and fans expected this team to be for sure, Rodney. But it's a long season and you can't expect these guys to match the level of intensity from the opposing team. It's just not going to happen as much as we wanted to. That's just not human nature. So there are going to be ebbs and flows where maybe physically mentally they're not as engaged as they were on this last first part of

the road trip. So it's just part of a full season. But at the end of the day, they're going to be standing the division winners. You look at the rest of the NL West, nobody is over five hundred. The Dodgers are the only team over five hundred in the NL West. So that just shows you the whole landscape early on and look for me. I'm not going to say this is a must win series for the Dodgers in Arizona, but I would like to see them come out and send a message

to the Diamondbacks. This was the place where their season ended, where they were dominated to a team that was an underdog again and went to the World Series. The Diamondbacks are struggling. They're pitching is falling apart. They don't have the depth. This would be a nice series for the Dodgers, not only to take two out of three, but to sweep and really send a message to the Diamondbacks and not open up any door of hope for them the rest of the year. Yeah. Do you think there's a great sense of

anticipation in Phoenix for this series? Unfortunately not, Fred. I'll see when I get to the stadium. But this city has gone through a lot as sports fans. The Suns were eliminated last night. They lost their hockey team, and yeah, so I feel like this team is a very this city is a very depressed sports town. Yeah. And you know, speaking of losing their hockey team, there is talk they might lose the Diamondbacks as well,

or at least out a Chase Field. They've been trying to get the county to kick in for some renovations and upgrade in the stadium, the county saying no. And the Diamondback I mean it's almost not Where would they go, Fred, Where would they go? Well? I don't know. They might stay in Lake City? Yeah, well, right, who everybody can go to Salt Lake City. Now that Vegas. They could be the team in Vegas. Yeah, the mayor, we don't want you, They don't

really want you here. Just stay in Oakland. The worst. Hey, hey, we're glad you're interested. But it's okay if you want to stay. You don't have to come here. Oh my god. All right, Dave. So it's hot, ry guys? Is it hot? It's about ninety Yeah, no problem. I can handle that. I'm a man already hitting the stride in Phoenix, Arizona, ninety degrees on April twenty ninth. I love it. Come on now, yeah. Yeah. Hopefully the Dodger bats stay hot today too. That's right. Let's play indoors. How about

that? Yeah? I think I will be closed. All right, Dave, thanks for jumping on. Way to light the lamp, Fred, all right, goodbye game? All right? That light is that light is lit? All right? When we come back, Rodney, what do you think little spirituality? Yeah, let's do it. Gotta have it, Fred, We'll bring vic on eh ah. Yeah. Let's keep it going on a beautiful Monday, Rodney p Fred Rogan. Let's get it in fit because we need it. Gotta have it, Rodney, I mean, Lakers gotta win

tonight, King's gotta win tomorrow. Clippers need to win as well. Dodgers in Arizona. There's one man to provide the spirituality. Oh, by the way, there's only one. Did you hear before we bring him On. It just made me think, did you hear what Charles Barkley said after New Orleans was eliminated from the playoffs. Did you hear this Rodney about not going to CanCon going to Kelvis? My god, I laughed so hard. I couldn't believe it. I could not. Adam, see if you can find

hilarious, hilarious, see if you can find it. If you find it, let us know. That was the funniest thing. What do you call it? Dirty ass water? They think you're going to the beach. God, that was funny. All right, now they say, hey, he's Texas. He goes after San Antonio women and now going after the beaches in Galveston. What is wrong with y'alls? All right, wait a minute, we have it. We have it. Let's just play it real quest here

Charles Barkley, Pelicans look awful. They're eliminated by Okay, see listen to what Charles Barkley said. Know where they're going, Chuck Galveston said, dirty ass water. They not even going. We're not even gonna sitting in the cant cooon. We're gonna sit there the Galveston with that dirty ass water be washed up on the show, and the people think they're in the beach. Y'all, y'all, we all gonna sit, y'all a can't cool, y'all. Drive y'all, y'all quit Galveston, Come on, Mantle, they need

to try. Man, we're not getting the no plane tickets to the beach. We said there has to Galveston, Texas. Right with that dirty water wash up on the beach, I can't even get in no water. Oh my, what not the best? Oh God, I couldn't stop laughing. I played it back like five times. It was so funny. And he'll say whatever he wants, whatever's on the top of his mind. No filter, whater What kind of delay they have? I know that, you know,

normally a seven second cut. I wonder if there's a fifteen second delay for Charles on that show. God, he's funny. All right, Let's have spirituality and walk theme on Victor break VIC, good afternoon. He told Eric Church to drop the acoustic set at Stage Coach at Coachella, and it was a bust rogan that was not me. Hello, Vic. He only plays the hits Rodney Pete, VT PTE and a humongous mazzl tav to Kevin figures he and wife Lauren proud parents of a beautiful baby boy. Oliver Kirk

figures Mucho mucho mazzl Kevin and Lauren sensational. We're all giddy and in for the proud Papa is double a animalstly big daddy k pig. Y'all yeah, and he's cave Ellen for Kevin. Happy clap along if you feel like a room without a roof because we're happy. Put your hands together, y'all hits king flavor. Yeah. Can the Lakers play more desperation basketball? As the notch in Denver, Colorado tonight? Game four was tremendous. They put it

all together, sensational forty eight minutes. They finally out rebounded the Nuggets. And what have I been saying all series? You got to box out, Gota got get the boards, man got to Finally they out rebound the Nuggets. That's the first game of the four where they out rebounded the Nuggets. I think it was forty six, forty whatever. Anthony Davis bliss out on the brow twenty three boards for Anthony Davis, he outplayed the Joker for the

first time. Am I right? Did he not outplay the joke poker or what he looked at it against him vico it defense. Joker got his numbers, but Anthony controlled the glass and the defense, and that's how you beat Denver. The blueprint? Was that the blueprint? And can they duplicate that blueprint tonight? Up in the mile High? I mean Bron was sensational. I mean he's picking up offensive fouls. Do you ever do you see any of the ballplayers picking up charges like like Bron not at forty big exactly,

Rodney. You see that video of him jumping along the sideline when they said he had dribbled out of bounds that he wanted to challenge and the Liker bench didn't challenge it. Did you see him jumping on that that veil? You know, if Ron is so is so animated, you got to challenge it. Even if you don't you don't think it's right, you know, you gotta challenge it. For Broun's sake. It gives players more confidence in the

coaching staff where you challenge the call that they think is wrong. Yeah, but all the time sometimes the players don't understand what how many challenges we have left with the ramifications of that challenge is you see all the number of guys just twirling their finger all the time. But as a coach, you got to sit down and weigh the options and weigh what you have. But you have left. As a player on the court, you're not thinking about, oh, we only have one left, or we're gonna lose a time out

or whatever it may be. So it's not always that just simple. As a player says, challenge it, challenge it. Is there a more acute basketball mind then Lebron James. If Broun thinks it's out, I'm coaching a team, I'm gonna say, refs, I'm challenging that call. That's just my perspective. Yeah. You D'Angelo Russell, Bamboo he bent had the horrific Game three when he was held scoreless. Was he oh for six from from three? And then game four you saw some visage D'Angelo Russell. I mean

that Game three from hell. D Russell went back to his Game two form. He hit the threes, he drove to the hoop. I think that's key. You know, when the Angelo bursts and explodes to the basket. He's making plays and he's just not relegated to being a three point Shooter. I love when when d Rusk shows all facets of his game, and that's what he did. He had the twenty one, but more importantly, he was setting people up, you know, with the pocket passes, the whole

thing. I'd have Moss d Russ. He's got to duplicate that performance for the Lakers. Have a chance tonight and Austin reeves. Fabulous game twenty one for Austin, And when the Nugget were making a late charge, I believe they cut it to about seven late fourth, Austin went into the into the into the paint, made a nice little j and the Lakers got back to control. So when those four guys are hitting over twenty, that is the blueprint, that's the formula, and you play insane defense. And that's what

they That's what the Lakers did. They double team the Joker, which I liked and I've been I've been screaming that from the beginning. Get physical with Joker. Double team Joker. He's insanely effective. You've got to get into him. He's got to feel you, all right, let's not get too personal. Why not? I don't know if he needs to feel you. Oh yeah, Joker needs to feel the Lakers around him. He just can't operate at will, you know, and pick him to pieces with his insane

passing. Well, the key to night vic Jamal Murray may be out. That'll give the Lakers a break. They really played some ferocious d on Murray in Game four. I got to give it up because they banged Murray. I think he was nine for twenty three from the field. They banged Murray. I know he's fifty to fifty for tonight. He's got the angry calf muscle. But a lot of that was a collective defense when they swarmed the Murray so esther Notcee. You got to learn from the Game four rebound attack

glass swarm the joker body of Murray. I picked the Lakers in seven. Friend, I know you like the Lakers early. Then you jumped off. I'm not jumping off, all right. History. Great article from Dylan Hernandez and the La Times. Why not the Lakers? Yeah, the Lakers make history. That's what Dibenham said. Why not us? Why not? Why not? The talent's there, the blueprints there. They just have to execute what they did in the Game four. But it's it's it's hard you know,

doing it in Denver is different than the downtown hooptojo. But the Lakers have proven that they can play really well on the road. And the narrative is over. The over Denver narrative is over. They have beaten Denver. That's a gigantic burden off the Lakers heads. I like the Lakers tonight. Tight game, tight game. They will force a game six. They will force the game six. Swarm the joker, swarm the joke and got to give it up for the Clippers. I know, you guys hit upon it.

What a fabulous game there was. I mean, I forget the fact they're up thirty one. They blew the lead, they held off the Mavericks running hit me. James Harden, float on? Look at you? Yeah, float on, James Harden. You know James is a virgo. Uh huh. But when he hit those what four or five floaters yesterday, I just said, James float on, y'all? Is that what you said, vic? I did? You just said flow hold on? Float on? His name is James virgo. We know the thing about it is for James

Harden, who you know has had a bit of a stigma. James. Yeah, all right, a bit of a stigma surrounding his play in the playoffs. This is very important. No, he has been a bust in the playoffs throughout his career, and I have been on him throughout how long has James been in the league? Out of a Tisia float on James,

he's a virgo. His playoffs have not have not been very positive. But when he went you know, one on one with Kyrie basically you know and Luca yesterday along with you know, PG, that was the greatest performance of James Harden's playoff career. You can quote in that double A Are you with me on that? No, I'm not, actually, uh, you know, He's He's had bad closeout games. Those are more magnified. But I think sixteen times in his playoff career he's averaged twenty five or more in a

playoff series. It's just been up and down. Like last year against Boston. He's got the forty point games in that series and then the duds at the end of it. But it's just icee hot, I guess, as Shaq would say, at this point, up and down, hot and cold for James Harden the playoffs. But that was a great fourth quarter. Vic no doubt about that. Five floaters made by him appropriate music there by you flames. He is a virgo, Fred Yes, Bick, What are the

characteristics of the virgo? Hitting floaters in the paint? Okay, so when you check the astrology chart, hitting quoters in the paint would be number one when it comes to virgo. Yes, clutch clutch floaters in the plant in the paint would be a characteristic of the virgo. All right, we'll get more into that, like we haven't had enough, we'll also continue on and we'll have our spirituality. All right, Come on, let's go down to

home stretch. Rodney Pete, Fred Rogan, let's go another reminder Thursday Hollywood Park, Inglewood, Key k Hernandez non to three will be giving stuff away. We invite you to come down and be a part of the show. So come hang with us Thursday at Hollywood Park in Inglewood. All right, Vic, if you would be so kind to continue playoff Fever runs amok all Los Angeles Kings. I know you guys touched upon it earlier, but that was such a gut wrenching loss last night at the Downtown Frozen Dojo. I

mean, you outshoot the Oilers thirty three thirteen. You give up just the one goal and you still lose. Fred, I know you are an oddent fan. Can the King send it back to LA for a game six? You know? I think they can. That's the funny thing. I'm far more confident in the in the Kings than the Lakers, to be quite honest with you. But it's Edmonton's style of play that seems so baffling. I

mean, the King's turn and there's somebody right on them. And look, I'm a fan and I've watched the game forever, but you would think there would be some sort of adjustment to that. And I don't know what it is. It's just anytime the Kings get the puck, there is somebody standing there, so there's no space, there's no open ice. You can't do anything. I meant and Vic last night they outshot them. They out hit them thirty three shots, but four were like real opportunities. I don't know.

It's there's something about them. There's something off and I cannot figure it out. So do I think they can figure it out? Yes? I do. I think they can figure it out, and quite frankly, they'd better do it pretty fast. That's a tough bonn Rajahs. Yeah. Up in Alberta. That's a tough bond. That's a brutal bond. But they can, they can get it done. They went up there, they've already won up there in the playoffs. That's right. The Topey goal, the

overtime goal, they've done it before. They can do it again. Why not the incredible copy tall goal in the in the in the overtime. So they've done it in their minds. They've planted the sea that they can. They can beat the Oilers in Edmonton. You know, allah of the Lakers have planted the sea they can. They can beat themruggets. Right, you're gonna have the plet that seed planted. That's the How about the NFL draft, Fellas planted a lot of seeds. If you're gonna draft the squads,

let's start with the bolts. If you're gonna give grades, I give the charges an A minus. Love Joe Alt, He's a man mountain. It was he six' nine three, twenty Love that pick. Love Lad mcconkee out of Georgia, the whine out, Yes, And I love the Michigan defense of Maestrad Junior Colson. I know Harball loves him, and a sleeper to a heap still dB at a Maryland. So yes, very very very

very strong draft for the Bolts. I give it an a minus. They still got to replace, you know, Alan got to replace Mike Williams. But I love the smash mouth football and it's here. What do you guys think about the both draft? I like all, I like you. You know, if you got a superstar QB, gotta make sure he's protected. Harball likes to be physical. They're gonna run the football all It was the

best one on the board. So they got their guy for a number of years that's gonna be up front and be the anchor of that offensive line. So great draft, I think they did. I think they did what they wanted to do. Vic and Chargers are. Chargers are in a new direction already under Harball. You can already feel it. I think it'll be fun to see how this plays out. Now. You know, this is very different for them. I agree with him in charge. You feel it's different.

You just sense it. Now. Let's see if it translates and the game is different than when he was coaching for the forty nine Ers. The NFL is a different game. Now, let's see if it still translates into some of the things that he wants to do. Smash mouth, you know, work a few years ago. I don't know if it works anymore. Well, you know what Eric says, you gotta run the football, Rodney, you gotta run it. There's a difference being running it and being smash

mouth. So there's strategics to this. But we will see. We will see if that formula still works well. The Rams, they went crazy for guys from the edge from Florida State with Verse, with Fisk picked up, I believe a very solid running back from Michigan, Blake Korum, who Harball loved. Of course, I got to give the Rams a B plus. Okay, And of course you do offer grades every year for the NFL Draft. Is that correct? I do. I watched them intently, try to

break them down. I watch all weekend because so many sleepers come from the later round. It's not just the first round. The first round obviously is the sexy round. Everyone loves the first round, but so many great players have emerged from the later round. You really gotta get you're gonna dig deep into the later rounds. Beck, How would you say that your grading system has panned out? In other words, so you give the Chargers an a if you look back at past grades and thought, yeah, I nailed that

one pretty well, or I missed on those. I'm about fifty to fifty okay. So it's very tough. It's so it's so hard. The NFL game is rather that, you know, you played so many amazing years in the NFL, so different from the college ball, and it's, uh, yeah, you can't measure guts, You can't measure Huevos. No, No, what worked in college doesn't always translate works in the NFL. Yeah,

it's cutthroat. You're right, Vick, who you can't measure heart, can't measure something of somebody of going through life and everything works out for them and everything's laid out for him. And then it may get a little tougher when they get to the NFL because it's, uh, take no prisoners. Some people can handle it, some people can't. Meanwhile, the Raiders draft, I thought they got a great, great player in Brock bowershead of Georgia.

Oh yeah, they did. Difference maker. He's a Jason Kelcey type. George Kittle. He's on that level of being a difference making tight end. Sure, should they have traded up or made a deal for a quarterback or you think Minshoe is the answer? Is Minshoe the answer for the Raiders a QB. Well, Pendix was the answer for the Raiders. But obviously that didn't work the way they thought it would. Atlanta spooked everybody and jumped on

everybody and got him. I think they were holding out to see if they could get panicked and if it meant you know, jumping up one or two to get him, then they would have done it. But when he went eight to Atlanta just threw a wrench in all their plans. There was so there was so much amazing talent in this draft. I really believe that this is a very talented draft, you know, with you know, with Uh, with the Bears, with Caleb. This is a draft that was just

so fertile. Well, Caleb is not short on confidence, I'll tell you that. Well, quarterbacks of course ruled. But you know, loving, loving Caleb Williams to the Bears and don't forget out to Sam Bernardino Cojona High School, Jade and Daniels number two overall now that'll be interesting. I'm rooting for him. I like him. I like him at Arizona State. So let's see if he can do what they hope he can do in the NFL. And got to give it up for the Dodgers had David Vesse from Arizona.

What a sensational road trip. They're on nine games, nine days and they're just playing fabulous hardball. So let's see what happens tonight they're in Arizona. We know what happened against the Diamondbacks in the playoffs. Uh, let's see will they deliver a message tonight? Maybe just let them know, Okay, that was then, this is now, and don't try that again, because we're not gonna put up with it. Don't try it again. Don't you dare, don't step to us. Mookie is hitting three eighty seven fellas,

Yeah, lead in the league. Seven Will Smith right behind him, pick Will Smith. America's catch has been unbelievable. They got four guys hitting over three hundred, pick four. Their top four guys are hitting over three hundred, throwing Otani in the mix, they're all hitting over three thirty. Three of them hitting over three thirty. Right now, Andy Pye has a three to zero two of the rookie. That's what I'm going to say. Yeah, and you know where that leads us to vic to the source thread.

Yes on this Monday, April of twenty ninth is high coup for you. And I must quote the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers for the Hai coup. Yes, enlightened after his Lakers stopped the eleven game drought against Denver. Do you Ham with an epiphany, a striking moment of personal realization and insights and it's merged into a Hai coup. This is from Lakers head coach d Ham. Beautiful day to be alive, to stay alive. I'm feeling you, de Ham. What Rodney, Ronnie, thank you, great

work, Adam, thank you for sitting in for Kevin again. Congratulations to Kevin and Lauren on the birth of Oliver Kirk figures and Rodney two hours for us again tomorrow. Let's get him, Let's get
