And we continue on Fred Rogan Rodney Pete from Crony's in Newberry Park on a five to seventy LA Sports one hour to go. The crowd still here. We have more to give away. The games are on TV. The beer is cold, the food is great. We love coming to Crony's. Dave and Christine Folds are good friends of ours. They have a number of them
in the area. They went and see me Valley, Ventura Agra where else, Dave, what I miss is cam Real exactly, Newbury Park, see me Valley and Agora Hills and joining us, oh vicklebyond later with the haikup. We'll have that as well. We'll have some spirituality. But Dave Folds joined us on the show and thanks for having us back this year. Well, let me tell you, I think this is gonna be an annual thing
for the March madness. We have you know, Fred here and Ron here and keV and you guys are just the greatest and this is a tradition and we have how let's hear for the guys everybody, all right, Yeah, you know, you know Crony's is a family restaurant with a sports theme. Like you said, we have five locations. We're all about the community. Although we make you know, the best sandwiches and burgers. I think, what do you think? Gang pretty good? And how about those Buffalo Way
very good coldest beer in town. Ladies and gentlemen and uh and we're just you know, the reason why we we do well is because we have a relationship with the with the community, with the schools, with the youth sports, adult sports and everything like that. So so we just have a good time here. You are a natural man, You're like the natural MC of the area. Man. You're so comfortable, so comfortable in the mic. Dude, go to Rodney. I've been doing this a long time. You
know. I know I look very young. Yes you do, yes, but but you sure no, you do look young. I look I look like Fred's older older brother. But but no, we you know that's we. We do prizes all the time and we're always on the microphone. My partner Lyle Chuck and Dave. We we also you know, at the five different locations, we we just engage with the people and it's genuine too. The word cronies, I don't know if you know this, Fred means friends. Yeah, I heard that you know, Fred just walked away. He's
just letting me just go. You know, hey, you you have any questions, you know, this is your spot. That's that's how we do your thing. This is your place, man, you know. So we would go to uh Europe, uh and we went together one year where the boys played on this all all Star team. This guy at All Star play basketball. We played against professional teams. Was that the Morocco trip that was
That's where they threw the monkey out. Let me tell you please for those that don't know, can you please tell them the monkey story where Fred got But we're both gonna, we're both gonna do this. Listen, So we in between games, our families get to tour the country. Hold on, Fred will tell you. And then you're gonna. You're gonna and we just see different things that you probably only see on like these these day great race shows and things like that, and so and so there was someone trying to
promote their animals and show what's all about Fred. Why don't you tell them what happened? All right? I just want to say this. So while we were on this trip, and I'll finish the story. While we were on this trip, for whatever reason, and I don't know why. Anytime there was a team dinner or anything, they'd always come up and say, hey, give a speech. Always, and they would look at me and
I'd go, let Dave do it. Dave would go up and start, and right in the middle, he'd give me the microphone and all right, Fred, go ahead, just like you did right here. That's my go to single time we would be asked to give these speech and I'd say, I don't want to say anything, but dude, Fred. The funny thing is the locals in these different countries they would say, hey, this guy was that guy Fred, he's good. He should probably do this professionally.
Oh Jesus. All right. So anyway, we're in this marketplace in Morocco, and what they tell you to do, and of course I have a tendency not to listen, do not look or get too close to anyone, or they're going to ask you for money. Okay. So we're standing over here and I say, oh God, look there's monkeys and monkeys are doing tricks. So I get a little closer and no one's stopping me, and they're right in the middle of this marketplace. So now I get pretty close.
One of the guys grabs the monkey from the ground, runs at me and throws the monkey at me, literally throws it like this. I caught the monkey because he threw it at me. The guy comes over and sticks out his hand and says, okay, pay me, and I'm like, I'm not paying you at me. So I caught the monkey, and I don't like monkeys. So then another guy walks over the way with him. Yeah. No, well I had no choice because that the guy put the snake around my neck, right, And it's true. The guy put a
snake around my neck and then he stuck out his hand. And if I didn't ain't either one of them, he wouldn't have taken the stinky monkey away or the snake off my neck. So I bought me forty bucks to get out of there. It's forty bucks to get the monkey off of you. And uh and then and then Fred, you had to put blinders on you. You couldn't look at any vendors the rest of the day. No.
I was pulled aside. Remember they took me aside, and they said, don't walk anywhere, and you have to stay over here on the side. Why why did they pick you to throw the monkey at well, I mean you had that look or I mean why you well, I had a look of wonderment. Yes, he's walking around the ligood's eyes wide open. Oh my god, look how beautiful this is. Look all these interesting things, and all of a sudden, damn, you were a mark. He's a mark, he said. I got that guy. And I'll tell you this.
It was about one hundred degrees and a monkey stunk, all right, Just you know, you can file that away as well. That monkey had not been bathed in about six weeks. Really, Christina was bad. It was bad. Then I got yelled at it. It didn't go. You should post those pictures on your site, you know, monkey. But it was great, you know so. But anyway, you know, Cronies is more than sports. That's what we're talking about sports. It's March madness here.
I just wanted to say that my bracket is still at ninety four point eight percent of the highest in the country. Ladies and gentlemen. I'm just saying, how do you know that? Because it says if you look at your thing, I'll show you in a second. Right, Well, let me tell you I believe I threw darts three darts Kentucky losing yesterday? I did not who who had Kentucky not not or losing? You know what I'm saying. Right, that's a breaker, you know, so everyone loses the
same amount that on that on that one game. But we have all the games here, you guys watching them while you're doing this, Can you guys a multitask because how many TVs we have in here? I have thirty TVs just rocking? You know? Did I tell you that we have five locations? Fred? I heard that day? Did I tell you about the Wing special or winning wings? And we were all to these wonderful people over here. We were giving bottles of our thirsty sauce, our homemade saw exactly.
It's good. You know what we're known for, Fred, what let me tell you something. We are like Christine. We have the we listen, we have to We have the coldest beer in town. We have we have we have sub zero freezers of holding these these these schooners just waiting to be the sponer schooners. It's like a large ship, right, I'm telling you.
And you know last year you did this with a with a non alcohol baage though, But when when it's your birthday at Cronies, we sing Happy Birthday to you, and by the time we're finishing the song, you must be through with your brother. And if you're not, you have to buy the house around That's right, you know what I'm saying. So we're gonna do it. I want to die away from tradition. No, you know,
I mean, you do not want to break a tradition. So so we're gonna hook you up in a couple of minutes man on cold beer, because that's how we do it around here at Crony Sports. But I'm game. I know you're game, dude. You're a gamer dude. That's all I am. That's all I try to be. That's all. You're just going to flow the people up, you hear. People came from people came from far away. They did. We had some people from Pittsburgh over here.
My former baseball teammate John Riley, John on the hill. John could bring it. Yeah, it was John pretty good. John was really good. What year was that I didn't get a whole lot of balls hit to me when John was on the hill. Really did you play? I played third base. He was pitching all right. Yeah, he was our ace. Well, I would think that when he was so good, sometimes the only way people gotta get on bases bunch, so maybe the bunch a third try. Did you play up or did you play played all? Yeah?
You so so so. You never played that in college though? Did you? You did the way through? And how'd you do? Uh? I had drafted three times, you know, Rodney b ladies in gentlemen. I was telling Jesus, all right, good Dave, all right, well that's what Crony is all about. Fred Duncton High School off two feet though, that's destroy for another time. One of the owners of Cronies, his wife christ Team. Thank you for having this time. I appreciate you, guys,
thank you so much for legitimizing Crony School. Scri alrighty, all right, we're gonna do that beer for Rodney in a minute. I right, come on down to Newbury Park Crony's. We're here till three o'clock more to give away Fred Rogan Rodney pete On a five seventy LA Sports. My grandma went there and she's always been Yeah, yes, he's always been big and anything. SEC is just like bigtime schools. Right a, right out, We are back at Crony Newberry Park. Let's go Rodney Pete, Fred Rogan.
We are having a good, good Friday. My man Dave did his old one man stand up. Yeah he did, right, Oh, yeah he did. He's a one man show. He is so one man's show of course. All right. Uh so I think people here in the area know Brady Smigel. He's a quarterback in Newberry Park. There you go, and everybody does. And he is being looked at by very very good colleges at this point. And you're a sophomore. You're completed just sophomore year, you sir? All right? So, uh Brady, welcome to the show.
Were shit you hanging with us today? Thank you for having me? Okay, wow, so you're one of the top guys in the country. When you hear that, what do you think? Yeah, it's a blessing for sure. Just trying to separate football and being a kid as much as I can. Just scrolling on social media and seeing your face all over it's definitely nerve wracking, but just trying to control it and just be a kid as much as I can. Now, Brady, I'm I'm I'm an old
man. So it's it's a little. It was a little different for me when I was coming out of high school because colleges could not approach you right until your senior year. And now you're you're finishing, you finish up Yourselfhomer, you're going into your junior year, correct, yes, sir, right, So, but you've been contacted. You're out there working out for different colleges already, right, some problem. What's that been like? Yeah, it's cool, it's definitely hard. Like in January, we got a bunch
of schools coming through. So I'll just be in my math class or whatever it is, and I'll be get in text for my dad like sell and so schools there and you got to get signed out and they're waiting for you. So it's definitely difficult. January. It's very cool having like big time schools, like the head coach at Penn State just coming to your school and
being able to shake his hand. It's obviously an honor. But January is definitely hard, just controlling school and wait, wait, wait, so they'll show up, Hey, I'm here, and they want you to sign out of class to go throw at like seventh or eight o'clock in the morning. Yeah, it's definitely hard. Sometimes they'll tell me like a week before, sometimes it's the night before. But sometimes I mean it's just right there.
Like one time I was studying for my Algebra two test. I'd like my tutor at seven in the morning, and my dad calls me like so and so they're here and they want to see you throw like now, and I'm like, all right, well, looks like I'm gonna be retaking that test next week, so all right, love it. So when you me with the coaches, what are they saying to you? What's the pitch they're giving you? Yeah, I mean they're kind of just trying to take on a
conversation. They're not really I mean the questions. It's more like just like adults a kid, like I feel like I'm talking to my uncle. They're kind of just interviewing me, seeing how my eye contact is, seeing how respectful I am, seeing if I'm bringing up other kids, but really not
any serious questions. I feel like they're interviewing me on other stuff. Now, you told me off there that you know, these workouts could happen at any time, and right now you have some teammates that possibly could go to some schools to play as well. And if a school comes and they're not necessarily maybe it's a smaller school, they're not necessarily looking at you, but they're looking at your teammates, you'll go out and throw for your teammates,
right, Yes, sir, for sure. We got a bunch of guys undersize, some colleges say, but they have really good stats, or they at really good speed, and they kind of just want to see them in person. So if a smaller school comes through, I'm not gonna deny throwing to them just because I got other kids on my team that are trying to
get looked auck as well. All right, So when schools are talking to you, and I mean, you're in a fascinating place now, because, as Rodney says, you're you're in a town without a sheriff, with nil and opportunities that weren't available at least legally. When Rodney played what does that mean that? What are you laughing at? Riley? He went to usc Yeah, I don't know what I want to see. If you were listening to know what I'm talking about now, I know I know nothing was happening
anyway. So you have those opportunities, how do you view that. Niyel. Do you look at a school now, I mean, do you expect schools once it gets serious, because you're one of the top guys in the country to come to you and say, all right, Brady, uh, you know, here's your scholarship and we're gonna I want you to talk to this guy because this guy here, he's going to hook you up. I mean, are you expecting that kind of thing? What will you do if
it happens. Yeah, it's definitely interesting. There's a lot of factors that go into a college, and that's just another add on to it. I'm not saying that's like an important one to me. Just money is just another add on. It's just a blessing being able to have college paid for and have your own apartment with a couple of teammates and being able to play for millions thousands of people on TV. So money's just to add on. It's definitely not going to be the reason I go to a school. I think
it's just going to be there, just another add on. Like I said, now, we obviously every school in the country is looking at you right now when you're growing up, maybe not so much now because you're looking at it through a different lens. But growing up, did you have your schools that you were that you liked and possibly wanted to play for, and has that changed? I mean, there's really not a dream school anymore. But USC was obviously really cool just being local, forty five minutes away. My
grandma went there, so that was obviously really cool. I went there too. Yeah, I know a lot shout my dad played in Arizona, so just yeah, absolutely, just being in areas of the family whole life. I got them in March Madness, so they were always just another school that I love to wear their jersey on Saturdays. But right now it's really just up for grabs, Okay. And if it's up for grabs, what are
you looking for in a school? I mean, there's so much but I was talking right here, but I mean he was talking a lot about location, and there's so much up for grabs with education, how they take care of a player, relationships with the quarterback, coach, off, it's a coordinator, head coach. There's I mean, I could go on and on. That's why it's so much. That's it's such a hard decision. But
uh, I mean, the list just goes on and on. But we were talking about location, and location is just not going to be the problem. I don't care if I'm in the middle of nowhere. If the place is right, it's right right now. When you look at your game, is there anyone out there right now professionally that you look at and go that my game kind of resembles this particular person. Is anyone out there that you look at and say that, Yeah, I'd like to say, Josh Allen,
Yeah, not bad. Yeah. I get that question quite often, So Josh Allen is my answer? Just a good arms show. So you're fearless, you don't mind taking hits? Oh yeah, coordinator, I don't really, I'm going deep pretty often. I love it. Yeah, I just ask my off its coordinator. Okay, So in this process that you're in now and as you enter your junior year, do you think a school could catch your attention as early as this upcoming year and have you commit to
it? I mean yeah, I mean I'm just looking for the right spot. Obviously. It's really cool for the schools that are interested in me early, offering me earlier. And I mean I got a couple offers when I was in eighth grade. I think it was our freshman year. Who offered you an eighth grade or freshman year? University of Arizona was my first one, so I got in the Filecats. Yeah, so that was my first one. I went through coach Smith, Keith Smith, so that one's always
special. I'm never gonna forget my first one. But uh, I mean, yeah, what I mean whatever fits me, right. I don't know when that is gonna be the decision, but I mean, if you offer me, then you got an opportunity. I guess now. You told me you going into your junior year. You said you guys are gonna be a senior heavy team this year. Right, Yes, so you guys are gonna be loaded. You're gonna be pretty good this year. We're gonna be pretty
good this year. Give me more to No, you're gonna be a predicted give me a prediction, man. I mean we're going into you like Joe Namon. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but we're working pretty hard right now. We've always been the smaller neighborhood school. Probably in warm ups, you think you're gonna kick our butt, but uh, we're coached very well by my dad and the staff. We got and uh, I think we Yeah,
shout out coach. I think we really are one and we work our butts off every single day, and I think that's what makes us win games. I'm trying to rob. It is Newberry, the Marmani League, Newberry Parker. No, we're switching leagues every year. I don't really know we're switching leagues. Yeah, you know what, You're so good. You can't be controlled in one league. You don't know where you'll be next year. Okay, well, thanks for doing this, man, you said, thank you.
I appreciate youngratulations on your success. Thank you so much. Fuck man, I got my eye on you, looking out for you. I'm gonna come to a few games this year. Two chick you out. Thank you so much. Thanks for joining us, all right, Freddy's Michael Newberry park quarterback. Pretty cool, Rodney? When cool? When you think back to, uh, when you were in high school and the process in the recruiting process. Let me get the right frame of mind. I think back that
far. Yeah, I understand. Yeah, a long time ago you took your medications. I did, You're fine. Uh how different do you think it is today compared to when you were playing? Uh? Well, it's night and day, night and day nowadays, because there's so much attention. Like I mentioned, I think you couldn't like there was a period of time you couldn't talk to a high school kid until his senior year at a certain
point. I think, at a certain leveling when you're playing, like going and maybe going into your senior year is when a college could contact you directly. You can get letters, but nobody could come talk to you, so that that was definitely different. And then the exposure and you know, and and you know, everybody's got tapes on you and things like that. Uh,
it is so dramatically different. I mean, as much as as cool as it is, I still I don't envy the decision that, you know, a guy like Brady has to make because he's got everybody in the country coming at him, and he's got to make that decision. And he's only a sophomore going into his junior year and still's got two more years to play, right, And so he's got a good nucleus around him that he can
focus on these next two years. Because when you get it, like he said, people were coming at him when he was in eighth grade, right, and for a lot of kids that can just blow them up and blow their head up and go, I don't have to work anymore. But he's surrounded by the right people where he's gonna continue to work. You know what I find interesting. You know, I asked him the question about nil and he goes, well, you know, money's not gonna be the determining factor.
Well, let's have that conversation again in a year and a half. Seriously, let's have that conversation in a year and a half, because I don't think you know, and maybe that's the standard answer and the correct answer for everybody. That's not gonna that's not gonna make a difference for me. I think it's gonna make a difference for everybody. It's gonna be a factor.
But I think that because of who he is and where he's gonna be situated, and you know, amongst other quarterbacks in the league, I don't think it's gonna be a dramatic difference between the say, the ten schools that are recruiting them in terms of the money factor. They're all gonna have some money to give to them. Oh so, big schools are all gonna be in the ballpark, They're all going to be in the ballpark, I believe.
I mean, everybody's not gonna be Caleb Williams. No, but there's gonna be kind of a level with top school and this kind of this is the going rate. Yeah, I think it is. I mean it's gonna be the going rate. I mean, you know, Michigan's not gonna be outdone by Ohio State, and Ohio State's not gonna be outdone by Penn State, and Penn State's not gonna be outdone by Texas. I mean, they're all gonna be in the ballpark when it comes to a player like that.
So it'd be interesting the dynamic comes where one school is so dramatically different than another one, then you really got to make a decision. All right. Yeah, well we have to make a decision right now. Uh oh, that decision is what are we ready for? Spirituality? Oh? Baby, we need it, We definitely need it. We need it. And to provide that spirituality, let's welcome on Victor Brick with the Daily Haikup at two and Vic. Good afternoon from Crony's in newbury Park. Yeah, Crony's,
newbury Park. I'm feeling you. The top seeded sports grill in all of Ventura County. Dave says, the coldest beer in town, y'all, and he's right about that. Fred. I can hear that monkey story from Morocco twenty four to seven, Fred Rogan, Boy, it never goes away, the monkey story, and then the snake joined it. What a marketplace I must have been in Morocco. Yeah, I gotta be honest with you, Vic. It was really hot, somewhat dusty, and they didn't have one
thing I wanted to buy. No, no, not a piece of jewelry, not a necklace, a bracelet, anything. Friend, you would have run from that place. You had to see it. But once you saw it, you'd seen it. One of the things you buy that you put in the closet that you never see again, even if you buy it exactly. Yeah, I mean I think they had like like a Gucci belt for forty seven cents, Gucci with one seat. Guki has He sipped his birthday
brew Rodney Peach not yet bTB Wow, Crony's man. The reputation is growing. It's beautiful. When Dave comes on, it's it's very exciting for me. It's he throws down the vibration and I dig it, I dig that about him. Well, when Dave comes on, it's his show, he's doing the show. Vic, we're a guest on Dave show. I love that. Transcending the eight oh five. It's Kevin Figures here, come on now, I have you five before I take off here? Why not?
And he is a Ventura highway of musica Ronnie Fossio. He loves scarecrows, king flavor, Bloody pulled that out through a highway. Yes, well, fellas, I love the way he broke down the situation with earlier. Yeah, you feel about all this? I mean, we haven't got your take on that. You know, the mind of otanis on. You've pointed that out for years. You live in his head, he lives in yours. You channel him, Vic, how do you feel about this? It's very
disturbing, It's very disappointing. Of course, I thought, uh Nightingale really nailed it earlier, that this will be solved with a very very uh you know light. I believe a penalty in that Otanis knows nothing of gambling. I can tell you that his only life Wait wait, stop, and you might be right, but how can you sit here and say, I can tell you that he knows nothing of gambling nothing. I believe, I believe that it is not his world. That was that was you know, his
interpreters world. Obviously, you know God lost in the rabbit hole. Vic. He was at the win for seven hours straight about a year and a half ago, on the blackjack table. Vic. I'm kidding, I'm kidding, big. I know you're kidding. His essence is baseball. Let's face it, twenty four to seven, that is Otani. I don't this is this is not his world. I could say, again, how do you know that, vig If you don't know judging from his his his lifestyle,
judging from his career, what lifestyle. We don't know anything about him solely baseball. We know, we knew he had a dog, Papo in a white Yeah, we know he was engaged, fick. You know something we don't know? Come on, Vic, I believe he's and it's very well documented that Otani's life is baseball and basically it's twenty four to seven. How is he achieved to become basically, you know, the greatest player in baseball today has been his focus on baseball. He's he's not interested in sidebars.
This O is pure baseball. I feel for, you know, for ip A, his family. I feel for O. I feel for the Dodger family. I have to, you know, to you know, to suffer through this. You know, this investigation. Now, it's going to be uncomfortable, but it will be done. It will be done right. And I'm obviously I mean, in my mind I can't say I have incise information on because you don't. All I could do is follow following his career religiously
and following his lifestyle religiously. You're like that guy in Korea that uh bought the suits he wore, the car he drives, the shoes he wears. He's like your religion to So basically his whole essence is baseball. Are you worth me in that? Are with me on that? Yeah? Totally selfless and totally selfless. Okay, VIC helping out a friend, helping out his very good friend, Vic. Can I do anything he got? He got caught in this chaos? All right, let me ask you one question then
we're gonna put it to bed. All right, here's the question. Do you believe in? The interpreter said, Otani was helping him his good friend pay off a four and a half million dollar debt. Do you believe that or do you believe when the interpreter came back and said, Otani knew nothing about it, I did this on my own and the implication was that he stole the money somehow. Which do you believe? As a man that knows the mind of Otani son, I believe Otani is totally clean. That is
my belief. Okay, but that wasn't the question. Otani probably is clean, but which interpreter's story do you believe is correct? I don't know. He flipped, you know when you flip and you flop like that after you know, with a ninety minute interview. I don't know. I don't know what to believe at this points. That's why, you know, the probe will go on, the investigation will go on, and we'll get to the you know, the heart of the matter. But do you believe do you
believe Otani knew anything about this gambling situation? I don't know. I don't know. I think he was, I don't know what. At this point, it's very very nebulous. I don't know, I don't know what to All I know is I know and I we don't know what he knows. We have to find out there. You could big golf. All right, Uh, we'll be back and Vic will tell us what he believes he knows, and also have the high coup from Croni's in Newberry Park. All right,
we're out back at Crony's. It's Friday. We don't care. Oh they brought me. They brought my birthday beer. Oh yeah. And the rule is I gotta do it before what before we get off the air? Now, before we get off the air. That's the rule. Yeah, that's gonna be the new rule. Yeah. But the happy birthdays, but before the happy birthdays. But Vic is on, so we gotta live. We gotta get We gotta let Vic. It's not about after the off the air, Fred, it's about the birthday. Saw. I gotta drink it
before the Here's what we're gonna do. First, we want to thank bond Projects dot Com for the merge because every time we come, Christine gets us something, and we got jerseys today with our names on them. It is great Bond Project out Com, thank you very much. Uh, Beck, Okay, we're gonna have to throw a little bit of a curveball at you no, because we need Vic to do the high coup. Yes, so
we can then do the birthday song so you can drink your beer. We can do that after all you want to do when we get off there, Yeah, we'll do it after Okay, back there, all right, we don't have to throw We don't have to throw a curveball. Bick called hitting my nil money for Brady real quick? Is that what you're doing? Yeah? Okay, got them a couple I gotta tell you what a couple of dollars. I gotta be honest with you. I got a feel in Penn
staves for coming. I think you have to that a little bit more. Yeah, yeah, I agree, all right, I go ahead big. The salient point I want to make is we must now support Otani Sohn remember his iron will severely tested in South Korea. He gets there. There's the love fest, Then there is the bomb hoax, then the Ippimus Well horror gambling mess, allegations that old Tony's friend and interpreter ripped off Otani for millions to pay gambling debts to a not so kosher o C bookie. So that's
the story you believe. No, I wanted to lay down the fact right now, the support for Otani is urgent and I believe is necessary. He must empty his mind and clear the clutter, clear it, and we must support OLTONI san right now. All right, it's gonna be hectic. Let's face it's gonna be hectic, but we must give all our love to Altani. Son. Okay, no distraction, but it's a bit of a distraction, said, We got to eliminate the destruction. That's what Big is talking
about exactly. I think defense will do that. I think they'll they'll eliminate that distraction when they're getting ready. Well, Fred Fix not happy about you, Fred Rodney. This journey of the Dodger season has been unbelievable, and it's we've only played two games. It's just going to be an amazing season for the Azul. Well, it's not much of a journey yet, Vic, Well, the journey to Sounds, I mean, it's only two games, but it was pretty wild and Soul the Soul series was pretty wild.
What did you think of Yamamoto? Vic, It's gonna take time. It's a process, yes, he said, he is it twenty five years old. He has to go through a lot of a lot of change, yes, but the Dodgers, the Dodgers coaching staff is fabulous and the work through it. Obviously, the Dodgers defense has to has to get more air tight.
Yeah, I mean to get up the five runs. But you know, if months he gets that the ground ball that went for a double they called the double it was you know, obviously he butchered the ground ball at the line, But that don't change that. Now the defense, the defense is going to tighten up. The Dodgers will the Dodgers will be fine defense. That's what it is. Do you think you'd get comfortable going out of the stretch now, vic, I believe so. I thought Nightingale made a
great point that everyone steals anyway. What's the difference if your if your stretches, you're a great stretch, you're a mediocre stretch. Some people are gonna steal on you. In the in this new in the brave new world of baseball, people are stealing. That's why he should go with what we suggested the other day in the podcast. Anybody that reaches first base immediately goes to third. He never pitches from the stretch. He never has to. If
you go to first base, just keep going. We're not even gonna make a play on you. Yeah, it's the o John Lester. Just don't even look at first even be there. Who just gomed And when you get the third I'll pitch out of the wind up and it'll be fine. Maybe they take that approach vic. Yeah, the stretch is overrated, overrated, man, but you know it's not overrated the height. We get to the source, yes, yes, the source. This is from Bussan. Okay,
he's on the he's on the mount Rushmore of haiku artists. Yes, show Issa and shiki. All right, yeah, here we go. Yeah, oh something like this is hi cool for you from Crony's Ventura Baby, Ventura County, the greatest sports thrilling all of Ventura County. Hello, Newberry Park, Newberry Park. Yeah, plum blossoms here and there. It's good to go North. It's good to go South. Dodgers, welcome home. Okay, feeling not even want a way to wrap up the way that isn't
even whatever. That was the ancient ones, the ancient ones. Craig, thank you, good job on the equipment. Everybody could hear today. You know he's as good as that gheart smiling, smile. He's thinking about his rats at home. It's fine, David, thank you, thank you, yes, yes, all right, go ahead, start Dave. We want to thank Ronnie back in the studio.
