Transcript

What do you say it like that, Fred, Well, because yesterday he seemed like he didn't really embrace the concept. Oh he hinted it. He might not be there, but he'll be there. Well, I mean, we're anticipating Eric being there from one to three, So come on down and get there early. Now here's what you need to know. Got to am five seventy

Also given away a Westinghouse fifty inch led TV. Oh talk to him, isn't that? That's what I'm saying. Driven by the Ford F Series, America's best selling truck for forty six years in counting, head to your southern California Ford dealers for great offers

on a Ford F Series truck. Who needles? We are stronger. So that's the deal. Hollywood Park next Monday, first fifty people to register, you are guaranteed a chance to win that. We can promise you. All right, you can still come down. You might win. But those first fifty Rodney, oh yeah, they got the shit. The first fifty. The first fifty, right, don't get it scouraged. If there's a you know, bus loads of people there. They might not be there for our

show. No, they're not there. Just come on in, right, they won't be there for us. There's no reason to even suggest they would be. They're leaving the casino at that point in time. Hey, you know where I went last week? Just come think about it. Where'd you go? Fantasy Springs are our fol to the Dodgers? Yeah? Yeah, Fantasy Springs Casino. They're pretty cool. That is a nice place out there, is it really? And they're gonna come back and do Dodgers again this

year? Is it big? Is it a big place? Yeah? And they've got entertainment out there. You can really play golf on the award winning Clive Clark Eagle Falls Golf Course. Oh look at you. You know what. You absolutely can go bowling, not a problem. You can see a show. It's all set up for you. Restaurants are green, one stop

shop there. You never leave. H And it's funny that's the kind of place, as they were explaining to me, that people go out there, Yeah, just to really get away a couple of days and enjoy themselves. Just to get away for a couple of days. It's nice, it really is. They didn't pay for that today. But I just gonna fucked me. I'm gonna have to do that because that you know, you know, I'm sure you're like me. Sometimes you just want to get away just for

a couple of days. You don't want to jump on a plane and go anywhere. You want to just drive somewhere and you park, you know, and hang out and just get away from the everyday life. And it seems like that's a that's a perfect place to go do that. Yeah. And the thing I'm learning to is because when you sit here and actually it's an Indio, we say, it's just you know, down the road from Palm Springs. For whatever reason, Indio has this stigma like, oh my god,

that's like twelve hours away. I can't go to Indio. Once you're out there, it's not that far, like twenty five minutes, just twenty five minutes. I mean, it's not that far. So it was good to get out there, good to meet the people, see what it is. And they're coming back during the Dodger season. So we're thrilled to have them back on board. Love that, Love that all right. Speaking of the Dodgers winter meetings, David Say is there. He is in Nashville.

He'll join us at twelve thirty. The question now becomes, what about shoey Otani. You said it yesterday. Vic brought it up and he said, uh, Otani is wondering the streets of Nashville or whatever. He said, like a street walker. And you said, I don't think he's in Nashville, Vic, Oh, he's in Nashville. Yeah, because there was the media. The Japanese media was there, so he figured that they if they're there, they know something. Otani must be there. Well, here's what

they should announced. He was in Florida yesterday. Yeah, at the Blue Jays training facility, checking out where they conduct spring training. Yes, looking at the facilities. Yes, that's why would Why would anyone of that magnitude be in Nashville anyway at the winter meeting. Yeah, unless you're gonna sign and you fly in the night before. Yeah, right, unless they make a big announcement. So he a big deal about it. Yeah, No, players are going to really just be hanging out in Nashville right now.

He did meet with the Dodgers, Dave Roberts just said last week before they left for Nashville. So now he's doing his due diligence, you know, and depending on who you talk to, however, many teams are in the sweep stakes, but you won't really know till he gets all done. Here's the interesting thing is one I want to talk about today, reports that why might he stay with the Angels? Well, number one, because he likes losing? Freddy, Freddy, don't do that. That was that was a

cheap shot. That wasn't good. Nice, My apologies to Ron Washington. Yeah, and Uncle Artie. You don't want to do that to him? To Uncle Artie? Yeah, Uncle Arty did. When did Hearty from Uncle Artie? He became uncle Arti when he decided not to sell the team and wanted to hang on to it for a few years more. All right, Yeah, we don't want to go Artie. That's that old uncle that just don't want to let go. All right, So we don't want to upset Uncle Artie, the cheap uncle too. Hey, using up on my hot

water back there? Yeah, the use that cold water on him dishes. That's not guardy right there. Well, we don't want to you had all my air close that door. I want to that door, and y'all, hey, he's got to take a shower together. Exactly. Everybody take a shower at the same time. You can use the same bath water. Water is still warm, get in that tub, all right. So anyway, why might he stay well? And we've heard this before, and I'm trying

to figure out what it means. Because he's comfortable because they basically let him, uh go with his own routine, do what he wants to do. And and and by the way, there's something to that, you know, does it outweigh the type of money that they are throwing at him and a chance to win. Probably not, But there is a factor that is a factor. Being comfortable in your environment, being comfortable with your surroundings. From time to time you hear players talk about that that I was comfortable here.

I like the city, I like the environment, I like my teammates, I like coming to work here every day. The environment's great, and it factors into it. So, I mean, it's not out of the realm that he feels that way. Now is that enough to hold on to him? I don't know. Well, but it's the routine. And from what I'm reading, it's like the angels let him do whatever he wants. Now, I don't even know what the definition of that is, but it's whatever he wants. So would that mean, you know, if we're in a

team meeting, you don't have to be there. If we have a team picture, we'll find a guy your height and send him out there on your jersey and then photoshop you're facing. You don't have to be in the team picture. Could it be we have batting practice today, but you don't have to take batting practice. Could it be any number of things? Well, doesn't he take batting practice underneath you? Ually he doesn't take it on the field. I heard the story like that, but I don't think it's any

major things that will disrupt the team. He doesn't. He doesn't feel like he's that type of guy. But I would I would imagine that because of all of the attention that he gets on a regular base, especially probably when they travel to different cities, that he has to get some sort of of a special treatment, whether that be you know, and it could be under some guys that stay at a different hotel then the team would would stay at

or or you know, transportation was different. So it might be some little nuances that he may have the ability to have people, you know, part of his camp that have you know, places and have carte blanche of the facility when he's there, like his his interpreters, his managers, his handlers. Because there might be a language barrier that he's allowed to have certain people around him at all times that can go areas that other people can't go.

So it might be little things like that, But I don't think there be anything that would disrupt the flow of the team, not like, yeah, I don't think he would do like a Russell Wilson, you know, go in and got my own I got my own office, I got my own masseuse, I got my own secretary here, and all those little things that Russ did when he first got there. Yeah, because that's what I'm trying to figure out. What is it that would seem so daunting that any other

team would not accommodate, Because that's how it's being positioned. The reason he would say with the Angels is because hey, they let him do whatever he wants. Well, what is it they let him do that is so daunting? You know? Could it be he needs his people around him? That's probably an accommodation any team would make. Yeah, right, yeah, I mean that kind of him stuff but if it if it starts to bleed over

into things that that Russell Wilson had his own office kind of thing. You're looking at the Dodgers and you say, all right, well, let's see Mookie Betts. He's pretty good. Freddie Freeman, you know what, he can play a little bit. He can play a little bit. Yeah, and Kershaw was on this team and here we all could be this year. Yeah, you know what, not too many superstars bigger than him. Yeah, it wasn't bad. He was okay, right, he was all right

as a player, And they're not getting all that stuff. Yeah, so why are we going to give it to somebody else? So I think it comes down to exactly what is it that enters into his routine that nobody else would give him. And that's the thing I can't figure out. Yeah, I mean until he says it or his camp says it, we won't really know, and it's all going to be speculation. And I think people like to run with It's Atlanta. It's like he had to have white couches when

they traveled on the road. You know, his locker had to be decorated a certain way, and everything had to be in Japanese when when he tried his ticket, his his name tag over his locker had to be that. I mean, it could be some crazy stuff that people are going to run with. But to me, I don't think that whatever his request made be that another team wouldn't match what the Angels have been doing since he's been there, Because I cannot be the only reason he would stay with the Angels,

correct, That cannot be the one reel. Well, they just let me do what I want. Therefore I will stay with the possibility that I will never see the playoffs, right, I mean, just think about it. Right? Yeah, but not enough. That's not enough for him to stay. That's what I'm thinking. I mean, when you played in the NFL, did guys have these requests? Uh? Did they try to isolate themselves

with the things they asked for from other players? Yeah? But it wasn't It wasn't crazy crazy stuff like we just talked about with Russ And it became a running joke with him up in Denver to the point where you know, Sean Payton had to look at him going, man, this is all you got to cut all this out. This is not gonna work, And and and he and Russ fed into all the what his teammates used to say about them in Seattle, how they you know, it was dysfunctional with him in

the locker room. But no, it would be you know, small things, you know, And and it was mainly the guys in in Dallas because Dallas was such during that time. It was they were I never seen anything like it in Dallas really, just how the players were treated and just how

rock starish being being a part of that organization was at that time. Yeah, there were there were special entrances and things like that when we traveled to the hotel that Emmett and Troy would have to go into certain things that training camp that they would they would be allowed to do to avoid some of the crazy crowds that were around. But nothing nothing so outrageous that you didn't you like, looked up and go, I can't understand why he's doing this.

That's so selfish or that's terrible, or that's that's uh, that's gonna mess with the team chemistry. Nothing like that I've ever seen since I was playing. I played for sixteen, so I didn't see any of that. Okay, and again, so let's go back to Wotani. When you see that, you're thinking, what what could these requests be that would be so insane that a would force him to stay with the Angels or be preclude him from

signing with anybody else. I just can't imagine what they would be. Maybe it was, maybe it was the j LO I gotta have, you know, white couches in my hotel room when I travel, I got to have green m and ms wherever I go, and I only want Avion water. And maybe it was I want my own plane. Who knows what it is. Yeah, I'm gonna travel separately. I travel separately. I need my own plane. You can't do that, And you know, no one's gonna

do that. No one's gonna hear him his own plane. And from what we know, which we don't know a whole lot, because he's very, you know, very private with his private life. We don't know he's like, but he doesn't seem like he's that kind of guy that would request certain things like that, or I need my own plane, or I'm going to

stay at a total different hotel than everybody else. Sometimes that might be the case to kind of throw off the set a little bit, and I get that, but to say that, yeah, I want my own plane, I want you know, certain things that are just ridiculous that no other player would want or get at that period of time. Today, veterans are giving back to the community and handing out holiday trees to those in need. Our

annual season of giving is happening right now. Help raise money for Dream Center LA to provide holiday meals for families in need, toys for kids, holiday trees delivered by veterans that want to get back to our community. You can help donate now at a five seventy LA sports dot Com. David Vassill be out at twelve thirty. We'll ask him what he's heard. Maybe he knows what these requests would be. When we come back. All right, he's in a plane, he made a video and now he's going to jail for

six months. We'll explain, Oh yeah, oh yeah, gotta let this marinate a little bit longer. Fred, we're in the holiday season, man, Ronnie has been doing it. He's coming with it with the holiday music and I absolutely love it. And I'm here for Rodney pet Fred Rogan on a Tuesday, Let's go. You know, when we were younger, we did stupid things. Probably we would never tell anybody the stupidest thing we did. Now. Back then nobody knew we did it because there was no way

to capture it. Well, today you can capture everything, and people think they can make a splash or gain notoriety by doing pretty stupid things. Remember your jackass. Yes, okay, yes, that was all about I'm just gonna put myself in a position to get crushed smashed. This made a fortune and make a fortune out of it, all right. But even back then we were to savvy with our phones. We didn't have the ability to do

the kinds of things we can do today. So I know this story happened in twenty twenty one, but the result has now been been sent out an influencer. Trevor Daniel Jacob, thirty years old, an experienced pilot and skydiver. In June, he did plead guilty to one kunt of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation. So what he did he had an idea, I know how people are going to look at my stuff. I know how I got sponsors. I know how some television network will pick

me up to do a show of insane things. This is my idea. I'm a pilot, right, I'm gonna get in the plane, I'm gonna take off, I'm gonna start flying the plane. Then when i'm I'm gonna record all of it. I'll have cameras everywhere. Then you will actually see me, because what I'm gonna say is that the plane was having problems and I had to bail out of the plane. So you will watch me bail out of the plane with a parachute and parachute to safety a moving plane that

I'm the pilot of. What could possibly go wrong with that? What could possibly mess up with that? Yeah? And then yeah, who's gonna have an issue with that? Yeah, I mean, nobody's gonna have an issue with that. I'm I'm you know, no one's gonna. I'm not gonna get in trouble for this. Oh my god, did you? I mean I watched this thing? The guy it was. First of all, he was way too like calm to suggest that, like the plane had issues on its own, Like it wasn't like it wasn't playing. Come on, he's

way too calm up in the air. Oh my god, holy holy holy, like doing all that knowing that he's crashing the plane on purpose, claiming that it's got engine failure or whatever. His failure has got that the plane he's got to bail out. Do you think one of the keys when investigators looked at this was that he was holding a selfie stick in his hand. Do you think that might have been a little bit of a giveaway? Do

you think so? And do you think that a company hired him to promote a product which he agreed he would do, is he was jumping out of the plane, do you think when the investigators looked at that, they might have thought, I'm not so sure you had engine problems with that plane. And do you think anybody, anybody would have been concerned that the plane crashed. Do you think that was a problem at all? But the plane crashed, Yeah, So you know, the only good thing is that he did

crash it in the middle of nowhere, in the mountain somewhere. But still you don't know, you know, you don't know. It could have been a gust of wind or whatever. If there's engine failure, the plane is just on its own. You don't know. If that plane gets knocked off course and happens to you know, drift to a popular I mean, anything could happen when you're that high and you're you're talking about a plane just floating

on its own. Do you think it was a problem ridus when the Justice Department talked to him and said, look, you told us about the crash, you're responsible for preserving the wreckage, and you've got to tell us where it is. And then he lied and said he didn't know where the location was. Do you think there was a problem when he investigators looked into that, it was a big problem. I think it was a big problem.

He didn't know where it was, But then he didn't he find the plane right after it crashed, or went to the plane and it was you know, had videotape of the plane once it was down. Yeah, But do you think that they didn't know where it was? No? No, But do you think this was a problem that then he and a friend flew to the site in a helicopter that was used to lift the wreckage and fly it

to a trailer attached to his pickup truck. According to the agreement he signed, the plane was later cut up and the parts were disposed of and trash bench. There's a problem you think that was an issue, Yeah, kind of. What So for this marvelous attempt at becoming a major league influencer, he will spend six months in federal prison. What is wrong with people? Yeah? Good? You know this, this desire, this need, this this yearning to be famous and to have people know who you are and to

follow you, it's really unhealthy. It's just unhealthy that you would live your life that way. Can you imagine how many people could have been hurt? I mean, and at this point it's terrible to say, well, if he died, that's his problem, But who else could have been hurt? Who else could have been victimized by this? Then to lie to federal agents about it? Crash a plane? That is messed up, Rodney. I'm

just telling you it is. It's messed up, and it's a you know kind of it feels like I'm making a mockery out of you know, pilots or even emergency situations that you're going to stage this, you know, for people that have been in real life tragic situations or pilots that I have had to deal with, you know, real life situation. It's just like feels like he's making a mockery of it, a joke of it for his own personal gain. I'll ever tell you a story about when I was flying to

Newark. No, okay, So and I just take this flight all the time. And I worked for NBC because I flying to Newark to go to New York. Yeah, I figured it was just quicker than flying in the JFK. So we flying in new Work. We're up here, we go, we're about hitting We're getting close to Vegas and all of a sudden you feel the plane turn around. Plane turns around, is headed back to LA And I'm saying to myself, I think we're going back to Los Angeles.

Sure enough, we're going back to Los Angeles. We land. They say, listen, there was a mechanical issue. We're going to get it addressed, and uh, we'll let you know. You know, when it's ready to go, Everybody off the plane. Everybody get off the plane. So we all get off the plane. We're back in the waiting area and the pilots are off the plane. Now they're standing behind the place where you check in. They're just standing there talking. So of course me I walked up.

I said, hey, guys, what happened? They said, oh, that's not a big deal. We had a failure of the central hydraulic system. I said, hm, hydraulics, isn't that what makes the plane go up in the air? And the guy goes yeah. I said it was failing. He goes yeah, oh yeah, yeah. I said, well, what would have happened? He said, well, it wouldn't have stayed in the air. That's why we came back to Los Angeles. So I said, oh, my god, that's got to be the worst thing

is a pilot you've ever dealt with. Then the guys said, oh, no, you want to hear a story. I said, sure. Again. They were flying to Newark. I wasn't on this flight. So they get up in the air and they're flying and they're going and all of a sudden, they put the seat belt signs on. So the seat belt signs are on, and I don't know if they triggered the oxygen masks or not,

but he said, the seatbelt sides are on. And he said one of the flight attendants knocked down the door and they didn't open it immediately right, And he said, so she knocked again. She knocked again, and she said from outside the door, some of the passengers are uncomfortable, can you you know, let me know what's going on. They opened the door

and the cockpit was on fire. It was on fire, and the guy said, the co pilot had the fire extinguisher out and they were wearing masks, and he said, they put the fire out, landed, fixed it whatever they did, and took off again. And I said, oh my god. He said, no, that stuff really happens, but that's why

we're here to take care of it. And then when you hear about this guy jumping out of a plane making a mockery of stuff when people have actually had to deal with those situations, it just makes you think that's that's wrong on so many yeah, so many levels, so many levels. I mean, you know, life is a blessing, right, Why why are you trying to intentionally jeopardize your own life? And then not to mention, yeah, you crashed it an open air up in the mountains and seemed like nobody

was around, but against who knows how that plane could have drifted. But yeah, just for the real folks out there, for the for the pilots that had, like you said, been through real situations, that's not funny to them, No, not at all. All right, don't forget. During the program today we all getting away tickets and those tickets will be for the Chargers and Broncos game. Of course, the game will be it so fine, So we'll give you a chance to win, and uh we'll give

you to to call there. Also next hour we'll be discussing the NBA and Season Tournament, which everybody loves, which everybody loves, and tonight's Lakers are in a quarterfinal match against the feat Nick Suns. Now, for to be honest and fair, we don't really know what any of that means, but I know this. People love the nd season Tournament, and that means I'll have the tournament court out tonight, which I think every game should be played

on those tournament courts. I love those courts. I'm telling you, it's the best thing about the tournament is the courts, right. I think that they should play all games on those courts each and every year, and not just the tournament games. You know, at first some people thought, oh, I don't know about that, But then when you really look at me and watch the game, it's fun. It kind of looks more like European basketball. Yeah, you know. Yeah. Oh, European basketball meets space

jam, I love it all right. We're trying to hook up with David Vassa, who was at the Winter meetings in Nashville, and when we get him on the line, we'll do it. Busy man down there, he's busy. Well, something might be breaking right now for all weeks. Yeah, never know, something might be going on. Dave rob did say that they met with Shohey Otani just before everybody left for Nashville, and that conversation was at Dodger Stadium. So the Dodgers did have their meeting with Otani.

We know he has now met with the Blue Jays because he was at their training facility yesterday in Florida. What was it about the Blue Jays that they were saying that he loves the city. He loves Toronto as a city too, Yeah, and he likes to hitting that ballpark. Likes to hitting that ballpark. Yeah, likes to hitting that ballpark. Uh, so we know that is in fact in play. In the meantime, the Dodgers continue on in their quest. He liked that short porch, that porch and right field

at Dodgers Stadium too. There's no there's actually no reason for him not to sign with the Dodgers unless they're gonna pay him the most money. They're gonna do whatever needs to be done. Unless his wishes are so bizarre they will accommodate all of them. So I can't see why he wouldn't sign with the Dodgers. But you know, as Vic says, nobody knows what he's thinking, and there's absolutely no indication at this point of what is going on.

In the meantime, they remain committed to Yamamoto. That's the guy they're committed to. That's the guy they're trying to chase down and sign. Twenty five year old Japanese right hander. That would be a pretty good deal if they could pull that off. There's now a sense too that the name Dylan cecila White Sox has been mentioned and the way that, well, here, we've got Dave right now. I'll just bring him on. Hey, Dave,

how are you. I'm doing great, guys. Yeah, Dave Roberts for the second straight day making some news here at the Winter Meetings where there really hasn't been, and he confirmed when asked by reporters during his manager media sesshin whether or not the Dodgers had met with sho Hey Otani not only did he confirm the Dodgers had met with him, he was involved in the meeting and

he said it took place two to three days ago at Dodgers Stadium. So he's the first guy to say anything about meeting with Otani confirming that the Dodgers had met with him. What the ramifications to that is? And I don't know, but I appreciate the transparency because, look, we're not trying to solve world peace here. It's baseball, and I think that needs to be in context because from everybody's standpoint here in Nashville, it's becoming a little ridiculous

with the process. Ridiculous. I mean, does it so much attention, Dave? I mean, I know you've got there's a contingency here now, the secrecy about everything, the secrecy about it, and a lot of people that cover the sport feel like Otani has kind of done a disservice to Major League Baseball by not handling his free agency as publicly as Lebron James did for

the NBA. I mean, that's why everybody's here at the Winter meetings and it seems like a lot of people believe the secrecy has not done the league any favors to try to grab the headlines from sport. It's like the NFL and NBA during the winter most month. What would you have him do, Dave? Differently, would you have him talk about the teams that he's meeting with? I mean, what would you have Otanian in his camp do? He doesn't need to say anything, But you know this, guys, there's

ways to get information out and create buzz. Lebron does it better than anybody. And let's face it, O'toni is major League Baseball's transcendent athlete and he has six million followers on Instagram. There's ways to create buzz and that's just the way he and his representative have preferred it since he arrived here in Major League Baseball to be extremely secretive. And Jeff Passing reported that any team that you know, gives any details about meetings, it's going to be held against

them. So all of those things have kind of scared everybody into not really talking about it as much as Ave Roberts did today. Dave, when the reports come out, well, you know, the the Angels still could be in it, because you know they accommodate his requests, and he's a big routine guy. What in the world could his request be that would be so astronomical that no one else would go? You know, we're good with that. I think anybody would meet any requests Otani had that are still in it,

and I've told you guys, the Blue Jays are in it. I don't know what Otani's thinking, whether it's the Dodgers, the Angels, the Blue Jays, but I would imagine any team would be able to be a little nimble with the requests and we'll see where it goes. But right now, nobody knows his thinking. And even Dave Roberts was asked what was O'tani's demeanor in the meeting, and he said he has a very good poker face. So not even in that meeting, according to Dave Roberts, would he

tip whether or not he was all in or not. Is it still the feeling day He's not. This is not going to drag out though long. This is going to happen maybe before the New Year, before or Christmas, board holidays. A lot of people believed it was gonna happen during this week here in Nashville Rodney, But there were reports that the Blue Jays GM met with o'tani at their spring training facility in Florida and then flew to Nashville.

So, honestly, I think the expectation, the buzz around the winter meetings from the people I've spoken to, believe that o'tanni will make his decision within the next week or two. Hey, Dave, rumors floating around the Dodgers, maybe interest in trading for Randy A Rose Arena, any truth to that? I don't. I mean, I like Randia Rose Arena. I just

don't know if that's that's one hundred percent accurate. Maybe his name was brought up in a conversation, but certainly the Raisin Dodgers are talking about Tyler Glass now more than Randy A Rose Arena. Not a Glass now, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. And what's the latest on Dylan c Is it reports that the White Sox the Dodger's not close to what the White Sox want.

Are the White Sox being overly greedy for what they want? For sees, Well, there's two more years of control for Cees and he's a number two, number three type of starting pitcher and That's what I'm hearing as well.

It's not close to moving anytime soon. While we're in Nashville. The Sea's market and basically it's not moving until Otani signs because then you're starting to get more teams that did not land Otani, or if they did land Otani, have a little bit more clarity on what their roster and needs are going to look like. So, yeah, the talks aren't continuing between the White Sox and Dodgers and a few other teams, but nothing is close to happening

right now. And what happened to talk about Corbyn Burns is that dead It seems to be fred From what I'm gathering, the Brewers are intent on keeping Burns until the trade deadline. That seems to be the scuttle. But surrounding Milwaukee and what they're looking at, maybe things would change depending on what they were offered. If there's a deal that they cannot turn down, then I'm

sure they would consider it. But the buzz in the lobby here in Nashville is that the Brewers intend to keep Corbyn Burns until midway through the season to see whether or not they're in the week and ol Central race hey, forget all that other stuff. How you doing down there in Nashville, Dave? What you've been doing man the last few days? I'm doing great. Actually today it's my biggest day, you know. Talk to Harold Reynolds for the

he's Breakfast Wrist in Milwaukee, he's like a national star. That was it? Yeah, I mean look, he did an attempt to crash a plane like our guy. And I'll say, you're not suggesting he did that on purpose? Like this guy is this I want to call him an idiot because people get on me. But yeah, like the guy that crashed a plane, he's not you're not suggesting Dave did that on purpose? Down the slide? Are you no? But but I have to give him a lot of credit. I mean, Dave comes on. He always gives us crap.

We know that, but you should also know we're all very good friends. Dave. I mean, that was pretty bad what happened to him, And he showed up and worked that night. He was back. This is good, this is good. Is it A mean? I? I mean sure, I mean I fast to create a duel o Kate, Yeah, my god, Kate me again. Today's afternoon Delight is

slower friend by Kate Tranada. Thanks Kevin a lot. I mean, I was like a purpose. I want to say, Fred did that to get back at all of us, for all those times that he had to do this. You know what's funny. I love me and I wish I had have done it today because I'm so unto the work of the Portland Rapper me and I yeah, yeah, yeah, certainly not like the spelling at all, nor weekly chat with a good friend. Jacob and Ronnie Jacob. How are you today, gentlemen, gentlemen, how are you good? Here's the

question, here's the question. So we talked about this guy earlier. He was an influencer. A pilot flew the plane, jumped out of the plane, had a selfie stick recorded the whole thing, had a parachute on, parachuted to safety. He wanted to do it as an influencer to promote some product, plane crashes into the forest, guide lies to the Feds, then he gets six months in prison. Is that enough for that? Jacob? Is that enough or what for what he did? Crashed the plane into the

forest on purpose? Are you kidding me? Absolutely? I mean, I mean you look at stuff like that, and then you look at somebody who got twelve years fifteen years, you know, for something that was not even intentional. I mean, you know, those are the type of things that sometimes, you know, really makes you want there. That's a good point. I think it's a very good point. Uh, Jacob and season tournament tonight? Uh, quarterfinal game Lakers and Phoenix. You love the nd season

Tournament, don't you? I do? I? Actually you know I didn't. I didn't start loving it, but I think and as I watched these games, and as I see how you know, exciting it is. I was watching the Sacramento game last night with New Orleans that was a really exciting game. I watched the Pacers beat the Celtics. That was an exciting game. You know, I can't wait to go tonight. That's good. Are you guys coming any either of you? I'm waiting for Vegas? Are you

You're waiting for the finals. Yeah, I'm waiting for Vegas. No, I don't wait to go to Vegas. Yeah, I think your big time, Rodney. We can't go to Vegas. So we're just gonna go right here, just start having our back yard. You know, just got a crypto. Oh Jacob, No, now listen, you're talking to a guy that knows you. Now, I know you can go to Vegas. Come home, brother. But you're right though, I think that, you know, as time has gone on, I think it has gotten to the players

where this is this is actually pretty good and pretty cool. And I think they're more into it as these games have gotten on and they played more, and now we're getting close to the finals. I think it is becoming something that the that the guys are taking more seriously. Oh absolutely. I mean you could see it. You could see it in their face. I mean,

you know, it's interesting. You know, I was watching a game where the Celtics were up by I think eighteen points and then they started to take a couple of more threes because they had to win by like twenty eight or twenty nine, and the Celtic coach kind of walked over to the Chicago coach and was explaining telling, hey, you know what, I'm not really running this up, but we need to you know, we need that point

differential. And I was like, how interesting because you know, usually you got people who get angry why somebody takes a you know, a layup at the end of the game and people start to push each other, and here this guy just ran up another ten points. So you could tell that they're all in and you know, those regular things that would tick them off as a regular season game, you know, is off the table. They know what they're going for. Jacob Our listeners love when you offer advice, and

this is something I've been thinking about for some time. You get to an accident, you start dealing with it, how long should your your case take? Because I think we here want immediate action, immediate answers, and I think it leads to people taking the first off or presented to them. Does that happen happens often? And I think, you know, this is a really important topic because you know, people get involved in accidents and everybody wants

to know how quickly is it going to be over? The problem is if your case is over really quickly, it means that you expectations of how much you can recover or you want to recover for your injuries are not really reasonable.

You know, as attorneys, we work on a contingency, and what that means is our clients don't pay us a penny until and unless we win, and you know, when we're trying to get them a just settlement, it is important that we as attorneys ethically do everything in our power to number one, get them the best treatment and number two, get them the best settlement. What en is up happening is that depending on the type of attorney

that you pick, that could be completely different. At our firm, you know, over ninety percent of our cases settle without having to file a lawsuit. And if you don't have to file a lawsuit, that means your case is settling before the two year statute of limitation. The problem here becomes is that often a lot of firms are not even willing to file a lawsuit on a case, and they're just settling your case and telling you this is the

best offer, and usually it's the first or second offer. At our firm, unless we get at least three to four back and forth with the adjuster, we don't even look at potentially even recommending a potential settlement to our clients because we know they got more money and if the facts actually are there, we have no problems fighting for three to four years. The issue becomes is trying to make sure that a client is also as devoted to the timeline.

So, you know, what I want all the listeners to know is that trying to push for your case to settle immediately is not always in your best interest. What's in your best interest is to take the time, get as much treatment as you truly need, and then allowing your attorney to take the

time that they need in order to settle your case. So don't rush your attorney, especially if your attorney is a litigator like we litigate, you know, hundreds and hundreds of cases every year, and we're not willing to take the first offer. And for that reason, the insurance companies know that if they're going to throw some lobile offer at us, it's immediately going to go

to our litigation department. And that's why our clients often, uh you know, get the higher end of those offers and benefit from it because of the fact that we're not trying to get the first offer. Turn you know turn and turn these cases. We want every case to get enough attention and to get the value it deserves. Outstanding, Jacob. We love when you come on. Thanks thanks for the advice today. Thank you guys. Have a great day you too. All right, more on the tournament. Likers play

Phoenix tonight, Vinnie bon signor jumps in here. We'll talk to NFL as well, and uh play a little who diss this hour? Maybe the winner of who did? If you win out right, if you went out right, maybe we'll send you to see the Chargers and Broncos. What maybe we'll do that, Okay,
