All right, we continue on. Fred Rogan, Rodney Pete ed on a Monday two hours show for us Dodger and who's coming up in a bit. They gonna have a high coup as well. So as we continue on, we moved to the Rams. That's a big win over Seattle yesterday Matthews, Matthew Stafford got hit so hard. I thought he was gonna be knocked out of the game. Oh, I thought that was a betted part of them
hit. Will you release it? And he hits you right in your midsection, right in your stomach and right at your waist and you have absolutely no way to protect yourself. Those are the ones, Fred Oh, I felt him man it win and got knocked out of him right there, But I felt it feels like everything went out of your body at that At that point, he stood back up, went back out. Yeah, came back out there, gun slinger. Yeah. You know, you gotta give it.
You gotta give him credit. You know, he plays till, he plays hard. But I mean I gotta say this too, Uh, it's we have to get us a quarterback. We have to we have to have somebody to replace Mats staf But when the time comes when that time comes, because you know he's he's just maybe in fact, he's just getting older. He's getting older. And you said, when we don't have Matt Stafford, we don't play well. I mean, right now, we're not a good football
team at all. If we had a buddy of mine who sent me a text and say, man, you think it's time for a new coach, coaching change, I said, man, absolutely not. You know, I said, they're not a good football team. They're just not their young football team to make a lot all the mistakes. They make a lot of mistakes, a lot of penalties. Uh. They played something that's some great plays on defense. But uh, you know, we do need we need pieces. And when you look at the Rams, think about it, we own
we don't really have. Our one big superstar is Aaron donald big superstar. Matt Stafford is still a star, but he's not he's I'm thinking looking at a superstar people think of when you walk around to the stadium at sofar stayed and you see Aaron Donalds jerseys everywhere. He's he's our guy. Uh, And the Rams don't have superstars on the team anymore, you know, like we had, we had Todd we had, you know, at that time, we had you know, we had we had a lot of guys.
We had a lot of guys you get Aaron down, We had Jalen Rams. We had a lot of guys that you could look at and say, man, that team is loaded. But we're not that loaded football team anymore. I mean the team right across town, the Chargers, they're loaded. To me, they have a loaded team, they're just not performing. And but that game yesterday, certain teams you play well against, and the Seattle
Seahawks is the team at the Rams no matter how bad they are. They seen the people play well against the Seahawks, and the Seahawks kept let let them stay in that game. I kept saying, because I left in the left in the third quarter. I said, man, they're gonna let them beat them. They're gonlet them hang around, hang around, And I'm glad they did. They they gonna they're gonna let us let us beat them.
When when when the uh? When Seattle went up but they think they went up by two two scores, two score, I was like, oh, they done went up by two scores. Now it's ah, Now it's a Now it's a you know, the pretty much game could be in hand now they just closed the door in the ramp. But then they let the Rams go right down the field and score within I think less than a minute or it was close to a minute. And then and I'm looking up. Ram's
gonna win this game now because the one thing to let him score. But you got to make them take time off the clock. And the Rams went right down the field. Score cut it back to a one score game, and the rest is history. Yeah. Yeah, but even that score was it was it was passing the fence pendanty. They guess how they got down there to get that score. One thing helped. And I never want to
see a player get hurt. But when Aaron down hit, which the quarterback for the Seahawks, uh yeah, you know, you know, come out for a while. Had Ken had to smith. You see. You see why in the first game when he screamed when he saw him coming. Remember that game, he said, oh god, oh my god, my god, I see why he said, oh my god, It's true. Yeah, that's exactly why he said. I said, oh my god. Aaron was the one who heard him, whom I still think. Look, you
gotta have to give Sean McVay in the Rams unless sneed. You got to give him credit this year. This really could have been a lot worse. And uh, look they're hanging in. They're not out yet. Now do they have a shot to make the playoffs? Home? A lot of teams, you know what, do they call them in the hunt? They're in the hunt, right, so they're not eliminated. It's a long shot, but at least they're alive. They're in the hunt. They're in the hunt.
Give them credit because this could have been like three wins out this year. Fred, you know what I give them credit for. You know, I give them credit. They play hard. You watch that football team they played. They played very hard defensively offensively, but you know, defensively you can see how hard they play. I mean another team that plays very hard. To mean, I like as a young team, as a Texans, I like a team that plays hard. You know, because you have to
give them credit. We might not have all the talent, we don't have all the guys that we need to win, you know, to be like when like like San Francisco, like Gate, they can a Philadelphia, they can mad allow six seven wins in a row. You know, they don't have that at the Rams, you know, but they play hard, they play with passion, and I like that. I like that about their football team. I like that about the Rams football. You know you got a
chance. You got a team that plays with hard and plays with passion and plays hard. You know you got a chance because you can coach some other stuff up. You can add a piece here and there, you can fix it, you know, broken assignment. But if but if you don't have a team that ain't playing hard or doesn't want to have that passion, no matter what you do, you're in trouble, you're in trouble. Like I like that right now. When I watched the La Raiders play yesterday, that's
another team and it's just a different level to play. You can tell it's you don't have to no one has to say it. You just see it on the field. The way the guys fly around, that's what becomes. The way you fly around that field, the way you you know, uh compliment each other. But you just see how they playing. They're playing hard, they're playing hard football. The poster man, I ain't trying to get hurt out here. I want to get out of hire. Man. Is
that all the poacher, it's on the it's on the coach. Fred. I'm telling you, man, it's it's like it's like any job. Anybody's listen, I will show. I'm sure if you've been to your job where you say, man, I can't I hate this job. I love my I love my job. I hate the guy work. I can't stand his ass. I ain't trying to make him look good. I want to get the hell out of here. But it's no different football players. They are the same basketball baseball. You don't like a coach, You're like, man,
I ain't trying to play for this mug man. I want to get the hell out of here. Man or man, I got it. I got a hurt shoulder. I'm not going to mess myself up with his ass. And then on the on the flip side of that, you have a guy that you love, you want to play for it, Like I use my example John Robinson when I played when I played with the Rams, John Robert, Man, I love playing for John. You know I would play hurt at this racle. You know, do you have you want to practice
this week? I said, well, let me take a few pots, because I mean sometimes you banged up. I said, I want to practice. I mean, let me practice, and it's how I feel. And I won't forgive you. Coming back from We're coming back from Chicago and I charried the ball like thirty two times on a on a Monday night football game. I was pretty beat up, you know, playing against your case.
We won that game and we going to New Orleans and well, you know, you know, you know to do Ridney walking down the aisles on the on the plane the coaches do. And he said, he said, he said, how you feeling. I said, I'm okay. He said, how's your shoulder? I said, you know, it's bothering a little bit. He said, let me ask you. Do you think you can do it again? And I said, what he's taking carricter thirty times? You have to I said, I can do it again. Sure I can do
it now. If I didn't like John, I just said, man, no, no dog, I'm good. I think I'm gonna sit out this week. You know, I don't think I can do it. But when you like your coach and you want you want to go out there and help your team your coach win, you do those kind of things. What was it about, John Robinson that you liked man, I just liked him as a person. I like John, you know he was he was a he was a great coach festival for the run game. And he had an offensive
mind of the run game and nothing like it. And and and he wanted he he made he wants your offensive line to hang on to their block. That was a big thing him and Hudson House said, hey, let me tell you something. How about they would tell any like the offensive lineman if they didn't hold it. But how about I put you in this backfield and let him hit you for a while. See how you like it. You're gonna hang onto your blocks and you're not gonna play man. You like a
coach like that? I mean. And he would get on me too, same thing. He'd get on me to hair. You know, if you can't hold onto the ball, you know you want to put somebody else in there if you can't. You got to see those holes now, So you know that's a hole. I said, you know, you can't be getting fast. You can't be like dancing in the backfield. I mean when you get on God on me, I mean I could take it. Yeah, he's a no nonsense guy, but very likely he felt like he cared about
you as a person. Yeah. Now, there's a lot of coaches it's like, what can you do for me? You ain't doing anything for me here on this field, and that I don't even want to be around you off the field. And John Robinson one of those guys you he felt like he genuinely cared about you. I go, I agree with that right now? Yeah, I mean, and now I can say that the RAMS organization
didn't care about you. But a different story. Our visits with Eric are driven by the Ford F Series, America's best selling truck for forty six years in counting. Head to your Southern California Ford dealers for great offers on a Ford F Series truck. Who Nidos We are stronger. Uh. We are going to bring vic on coming up in a bit. But we do have to get to the player that said, no mos, I'm not talking. That's next. Oh yeah. For an NFL spotlight Rodney Pete, Fred Rogan
The Hall of Fame by Eric Dickerson, Hey, what's for? What's for dinner? Tonight ordered two large topping pizzas for twelve ninety nine each use promo code twelve ninety nine hard better ingredients, better pizza. It is Papa John's. So Caleb Williams did not speak to the media after the UCLA loss. Uh, you both have perspective on this. You were both Did they say why? Did they say why they did not? They said he elected not to. Oh, well, well, you know they probably going one thing.
You know, you know, you know what the question is gonna be, Fred. You know, the number one question would be, yeah, you're gonna play in the Bowl game exactly? I mean, and and man, he didn't want to answer that question. And I don't blame him. I mean what I would I've seen the last couple of weeks riding and I don't know if if it was you think about it, if this was you riding and you and you're possibly gonna get one hundred million dollar contract, will
you take a chance on getting hurt? I mean, and you know, I'm sure a lot of USC fans where is your playing? Who's you play? You go to college for? But hey, man, I mean and if you and you reverse that and ask them that same question, Okay, you're gonna get a hundred you probably get a hundred million dollars and possibly get hurt in the ball a meaningless bowl game. What would come first, or you know the ones who'd be honest to say, well, you're right,
I wouldn't play. What the ones who you know won't gonna flick real money? Yeah money one say oh yeah, I would play for the team. Man, bs, I mean, this is this is real life because like we said last week, man, this is life change. This is life changing money to his family. Yeah yeah. And he could just think it could be he said, have that knee injury and God forbid it. It disrupts his whole career. But even if it didn't do that, it puts
doubt in everyone who's going to draft. It puts doubt in their minds, Oh is he going to be healthy? Can't he stay healthy? Can he come back from that injury? And so you don't want to go into it with that stain on you because that there's no there's no upside for him playing. I mean, people got him where they got him in terms of slotting the draft number one pick. I don't. I don't think that changes. But it does. If he plays in the bowl game he gets hurt,
it changed totally. But here's the thing. He did not talk after the Utah game, and nobody was going to ask him about if he was going to play in the Bowl. Yeah, listen, oh ask you quite. It is a bad thing. He should talk, Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, No, you got you gotta talk, you gotta. You gotta at least be consistent. Now, if you're a guy that never if you don't you never talked to the media, then you you stay consistent that
way and never talk to the media. But if you're a guy that has talked to the media and given, you know, interviews, win loser draw after games in the past, then you've got to continue that, you really do that. I think that was just that was not good on Caleb's part. And again I don't know who knows and and certainly the question would have came up. You're right about that, Eric, But who knows what else?
And I don't know anybody knows what else was going on it caused him to make that decision other than just lost to UCLA and don't want to talk. If there was something else going on, you know, then then for jealous But on surface and what we know, yes, you've got to be available to the media, win loser draw, how good, how well you played, or how bad you played should not matter. They have to do
a job just like you got to do a job. So I don't think it was a very good decision for him not to talk to them in any way. Does that affect a team that might be looking at him, do they even consider something? I don't think that's no, absolutely not. He didn't talk to the media. So I mean the draft, you're the quarterback. You're the quarterback. You know, you're kind of the face of the
franchise drafts. That really if you if you're going to draft, if you're going to draft somebody or decide not to draft somebody number one because he didn't talk to the media after a college game, then we all understand why you're drafting number one. You're a horrible team. That's pretty funny. Remember I remember when what was that Mattlonard came back and played his senior year. I mean, it's just a whole different thing. He was gonna be the number
one pick. I think when he came out and went back and played the senior and the stock dropped. So it did, it did, and then he went, h yeah, I forget who got he got drafted that year number one, and I remember people saying, oh, he died the bullet, he died the bullet. God, I forget it was. But but
you're right, you're right. Even though USC, you know, and he was coming off a high a Heisman trophy his junior year, and even though USC went all the way to the National Championship game that was the infamous losing to Texas in that great great game that didn't go our way. Vince Young, you know, went to work even though they got all the way there. Reggie Bush won the Heisman that year. So it became like, Okay,
it's all about Reggie Bush. Wasn't necessarily about Matt Lioner and he and he did he dropped a little bit in that in that draft at it, because you're right. I think everybody had him projected number one pick in the draft the year before and then uh, and then I think he went tenth uh in the next year's draft, and that's the best. That's a lot
of money. From one to ten is a lot of money. Hey, Kevin, there there's been talk that Caleb Williams and you don't nobody said he's officially going into the NFL draft because you know he might want to come back and play another year. But no, I hear you. But look just for a second, he's certainly not going to play USC and at his brains
bashed in. Could he be a kid to control transfer to Georgia or someplace where if he said, you know, I'm not being picked by the team, I want to be picked by because you remember that conversation with his father, I'm coming back. Couldn't he transfer to a program somewhere, somebody, a top program would then would that be possible? Can you transfer twice? I think there's a rule. They just put that rule in this year. That's what it's back to the North Carolina receiver. So yeah, he can't
be too recent for him to be able to train. If he did, he'd have to sit another year out and he ain't doing that. No, no, no, no no. So that's the new rule. Now you can't transfer like back to back. Yeah. I think it's something like that. He can't do it twice, or if you do, it has to be a number of years in between. I think, right, you ask me a full calendar year or you know, scholarship year, whatever you want to call it, before you can actually play for that team. Okay,
so he's not going anywhere. No, all right, let's let's have some spirituality. Let's start this short week off right and bring on the man, Victor Brick with the daily haikup and Victor Afternoon. He is the essence of the holiday season, the candy Um, Candy Kane Lane, Fred Rogan, I'm the Dean in the wake of the Troy disaster of a season seeking solutions. Rodney Pete great date, excuse me while I whipped this out, Yes, sir, yeap his SMU Mustangs in the midst of a revival in fort
Worth Hall of Famer, Mister twenty one oh five. Eric Dickerson, Hi yoa oh baby, oh baby, Yeah, I like it, like that. He is our solution. Kevin Figure. Kevin has been great and he is a blessing at the board running fascio Sole Brother VTB Yeah, Hey, Vic, do you hear about the Dodger news? Two things, Aaron Nola seven years, one hundred and seventy two million dollars. He will stay with
the Phillies. So that ends the quest and pursuit of Aaron Nola. And then listen the folks in Saint Louis has got long bald Lancelynne signed a one year, ten million dollar deal. M okay, okay, Well Nola hurts, but Nola is going back to Philly. That was predetermined. They're not going to lose one of their you know, the their aces. It's not the ace, but that's big money. So congratulations to the Nola fair.
But there's a lot out there's a lot of talent out there. And Andrew Friedman and the Dodger organization working hard, working it, working it, working it. I'll tell you who worked it, UCLA who knew Ethan Garbers without playing Caleb Williams but instant Calmer. I mean the Bruins jumped out to the fourteen nothing lead. The Bruins with the mad Death energy. It takes tens of saying Samurai to kill one SUMMARRII with the mad Death energy. The MD
and the Bruin D set them free as we predict it on Friday. So let's go back in time. I know it's a low buzz, but it's still to see your dog bragging rights lat too and the Bruin D must pressure Caleb Williams like every snap, and I'm calling the upset fellas u c l A thirty eight, thirty five. You heard it here first, just a vibe man like one. An upset because Ucla his favorite. I believe in that game, No six and a half one favorites. Oh they were.
How did we be favored in any game? That was six? And oh? That was six? And oh six and o in to this a lot too, was unbelievable. Got to give it up, you know for that UCLA defense. They were ferocious, violence, tackling, creating turnovers. They converted the coliseum into a mausoleum. Who wrote that they're a straight loss for Troy five or six, Rodney, I feel your pain, but they're heading
into some schlocky bowl. Caleb Williams's final game as a Trojan, no doubt, the one shining moment, that seventy four yard rainbow passed that Jerry Rice's son Brendan beautiful. That was beautiful. That was a beautiful pass. Twenty second birthday, he could play Jerry's sun is nice, nice, the whole lots of the number one pick in the NFL draft. But the Brewers, how about t J. Harden either Inglewood Nrbourne and high school career higher one
hundred and forty two yards two touchdowns. There's always a player in the rivalry game. You never really get much publicity before the game that just goes wild. That was t J Harden. He was sensatial. So you feel like it's cal Saturday at the Rose Bowl. They win, they go, there'll be eight and four or chance to go nine and four. Say we're a mid tier bowl, so we're to come back to Chip Kelly. Yeah you think he'll sur Yes, oh absolutely. There was so much buzz not coming
out of the Bruin boosters last week. They said he was safe. They said it was ludicrous, this talk of a Chip Kelly for exodus. The boosters had confidence in Kelly. Do you sail boosters always had? You were just hearing reports and obviously didn't look you lose, you know, to allow the Arizona State team at home. It didn't look good. But again, you know, Chip Kelly didn't have his weapons, you know. But here comes Garber's comes our visits with Eric driven by the Ford F series, America's
best selling truck for forty six years in counting. How do you Southern California Ford dealers for great offers on a Ford F Series truck whunitos we are stronger. Well, well, we'll think and allow him continue his musings and the haigh coup. That's right for a NFL spotlight right to beat, Fred Rogan, Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson and our man pick the bricka Hey Rodney.

Donate now at a five seventy LA sports dot com. All right, Vick, thank you Fred. That's a very essential message. The season of giving is in full effect, so please please give five seven LA
sports dot com. It's it is such a great honor you get to to help the kids in the community and the veterans are doling out those trees and those able gifts. So thank you. Over the years, you've been unbelievable, unbelievable. Your generosity is incredible, I'll tell you, jos generous was the charges in the Green Bay yesterday? Tellers? Did the field have anything to do with all those blunders? I mean Austin Echler didn't look like Austin Eckle with you know, with the fumble. Uh, you know, Allan
dropped. The couple had a nice game, but still dropped a couple of bulls. Johnson big drop on that last drive. Do you think the field anything to do with the final result another you know, three point loss? Did he have anything to do with the Packers winning by three? The field, that's beautiful condition. So you're talking about playing there January, then you can say, oh, maybe the field was effected. Forty two and no rain, Vic that's like a summer day in Green Bay and six drops by
the balls. I mean it just didn't stop. How about the third and twenty? This this really destroyed me. Third and twenty for the Packers. I think it was under two minutes left, Sante Samuel with the passing appearance. You've got to you've got I mean, you've got to have some sort of discipline on third and twenty. Right, let me just keep the guy in front of him, You give him a ten yard game. Make it fourth and Tenard, just to give it all up in one chunk. I
mean that that's that is the backbreaker. No, well, if you're just playing, Vic, you're covering out there, you're playing. You're not thinking, oh, you know, what'd you call it? You got to play. You're playing football. What was his name, Sunday some Well well well well well well it was a tough game, man, it was tough. It was just a it was really a gut wrencher once again. And like you know, although he Gilman says, I really I really like Gilman Man
the linebacker, and we're just set up. Something's got to change. He's right, Gilman's right, something's got to cha. What's going to change though? I mean the personal is, you know, a quick heel to Bolso we want Bolster back on the field as quickly as possible. But you know what's going to change with the bolts Man the personnel is. The talent is there. Mac had another incredible game. I mean, the talent is there. It's just it's just so weird. It's just it's confounding. It's it's
consistency, big. That's what it comes down to. The system. We can and we got we got. I mean yeah, I mean you're not gonna play great every week, but you know, you got you gotta you have to win those games that you're supposed to win, like that game. The Chargers should have won that game. I didn't. I mean I thought they'd win if I was the bad mans, I charge to blow them out. But you're not playing consistent football. Up down, up down, up
down. You know you know you don't know, you don't know how you're gonna play from week to week. Who knew the Rams Seahawks d your Rams? They swept the Seahawks in this season series. I mean that's quite to me. I told you a certain times you play long against no matter how good they are and how bad you are. Yep, I mean Cooper Couple was out most of the game with a banger bankle ye again for coour Pooka
nicour I love just saying his name. Does it make you feel good, Pooka Nicoura, It doesn't give me the same feeling it gives you, But make you feel good. I'll warm them all over vic make you feel good. I want you feel good. Pokakula touchdown, five catches, seventh the yard. I mean this, every you throw him, the ball is catching it. The yards have to catch the whole thing. What a sensational draft
pick that was and it was a fifth round picker the b YU. What if the Chargers have Vic, Well, hopefully it would make a difference. You know, I miss Mike Williams. I really miss Mike, Miss Big Mike. It's charge. Let's face it, it's a long season. Then it's a d. Exactly is the defense? The defense gives up so many yards it's nuts. Better play d. Hey let me ask, let me ask the question. We ask what the question? Big? You think you
think Pooking could be rookiet the rookie of the year. Great question, Yes, they do. The guy plays hard, hard to tackle, throw anything in his area. He seems he seems to pick it, he picks it up. How about Stroud Yeah another one. Yeah, that's right, I forgot. I forgot about him. Yeah, he's slinging it. Boy in Houston. M Cook another local guy, ranchall Cook. Yeah. How about ship Kelly's guys, I mean uh D t R a good game for Cleveland,
led the Browns to victory. Yeah, and Jacques Charpony a nice game for Seattle. It lost, but you know a couple of what a great weekends at Chip Kelly Holmes on a big interception for the Giants, beautiful. What's happening? U c l a flavor there? It was just a great weekends, Chip Kelly and his disciples. Not a disciple, not a disciple. Keep on, we go to stop this this with a high. At some point, heyam Brown at a touchdow yesterday, Rod, Here you go,
there's there's some trows you love. There you go. Also on a sidebar Sumo from fuka Oka after eight days? Yeah, what do you got? It's it's it's it's mototos It's It'simoto has the lead?
