Episode 10: Bushwick Boycotts SantaCon

BushwickDaily first broke the news that SantaCon was headed to Bushwick this year and the entire neighborhood let out a collective groan. This week on Roberta’s Radio, the bars that make up this community official boycott the puke-filled pub crawl. Hear from Pearl’s Social & Billy Club, Three Diamond Door, Roberta’s, King’s County and Montana’s Trailhouse as they make it clear that SantaCon participants will not be welcome in Bushwick. Also hear from an anonymous “former Santa” who helped organize the event in its formative years as she explains why all of the good intentions behind the convention (anti-consumerism) have been overtaken by the new suburban wave of participants (drunken assholes).
